The property is spacious and well equipped, the beds are very comfortable as are the sofas. It is a short walk into town with shops, bakery, an excellent butcher, a small convenience shop and lots of restaurants as well as the market twice a week. There is also the Intermarche supermarket a few minutes drive away at the other end of town which has everything you could need. The WIFI is very good. The sunroom is great for the occasional rainy or cooler day. Martel is a lovely town and a good base for exploring the area. The hosts have gone to a lot of effort to prepare detailed information on the town, the restaurants and things to do in the area including dog walks etc… which was most appreciated. Hosts were responsive and helpful.The photographs and description are as we found the property. The road noise is minimal in the evening while enjoying the outside dining area. We did not hear anything during the night. However in the day there was a near constant flow of traffic including many commercial vehicles as this is the main road in and out of the town. We found it to be noisy in the garden which did come as a surprise as we live on a busy road ourselves and did not expect this to be an issue. Aside from this we had a nice stay.Note to Saturdays late arrivals - the Intermarche closes at 6pm reopening on Monday. The butcher, bakery & small shop are open Sunday morning. The coffee bean shop is closed Sundays & Mondays.
