Gabrielle's Cabin er placeret på en historisk gæst ranch i Wilson, WY. Ranchen var en aktiv dude ranch i Jackson Hole dalen i 50'erne, 60'erne og 70'erne. Ranchen er lige så rolig og fredelig i dag, som den var tilbage på dagen for dudes, der kommer til Jackson Hole for deres sommerferie. Ranchen er forblevet næsten uændret i de sidste 70 år. Der er en vigtigste lodge og flere ud bygninger og hytter hvor gæsterne blev. Vi vil gerne tilbyde dig en af disse hytter, Gabrielle's Cabin.

Gabrielles hytte er et hyggeligt rum med en stue med en sovesofa med dobbeltsenge, badeværelse med bruser, et soveværelse med en queensize seng og et veludstyret køkken, herunder et elektrisk udstyr, mikroovn, kaffemaskine og køleskab. Gratis wifi og et smart TV.

Hvis ro, privatliv, natur og ensomhed er vigtige for dig for dit ophold i Jackson Hole, vil vores ejendom være stedet for dig. Ingen lejlighed er her. Fra din hytte kan du gå over gården til Fish Creek, og øve dine flyvefærdigheder. Du kan slentre langs Fish Creek Road og nyde den stille landvej. Du kan sidde ved bæken på en varm sommermiddag og slappe helt af. Gabrielles hytte er temmelig grundlæggende, malerisk og romantisk, uden mange klokker og fløjter. Vores familie har haft denne perle af en ejendom i de sidste 70 år. Vi anser os for at være væk fra den slagne vej, og vi tror, at dit ophold hos os bliver en mindeværdig oplevelse.

I Wilson, 2 miles væk, kan du spise på Noras Fish Creek Inn eller den berømte Stagecoach Bar. Madvarer er tilgængelige på Hungry Jacks General Store. Bagels og den perfekte kop kaffe er tilgængelige på Pearl Street Bagels. Og du kan tage nogle lækre fisk tacos på Chippys. Der er flere andre små virksomheder, herunder Wilson Backcountry Sports, Teton Gravity Research, Wilson Hardware og Wilson Gas and Convenience Store. Vi er en 15 minutters kørsel til downtown Jackson Hole, og 20 minutter til Grand Teton National Park. Vi er cirka to timers kørsel til Yellowstone National Park.

Vi bor også i lokalerne i den største lodge. Vores familie bosatte sig på denne ejendom i begyndelsen af 50'erne, og vi er den anden, tredje og fjerde generation at bo her. Vi kender Jackson Hole-området og kan tilbyde utallige forslag til at nyde dit ophold i Jackson Hole.

Du skal bruge et køretøj, når du bliver hos os. Vi er to miles til dalen cykelstier. Meget tæt på mountainbike stier også.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!

Cabin was cute, clean, and perfect for our three day stay. Linens were amazing, bed was comfortable, pull out couch was comfortable and Gina was so very nice in helping us spot moose.Don’t hesitate to book!

Moose Heaven

We rented this cabin for 2 weeks not knowing what to expect. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the Wifi was great! The towels were the softest and fluffiest ever! It was advertised that there had been moose on the property but we didn’t expect to see any. Well, there were moose on a regular basis. We even had a mom and her new calf on two different evenings. One evening they stayed for about a half an hour and the calf ran and played while I shot a bunch of photos of them. It was magical. Other moose come and munch on the willows In the yard. Gina keeps the yard meticulously maintained. Such a beautiful setting on a pond where ducks swim by. And driving back and forth to the cabin along Fish Creek you never know what you’ll see. Osprey, for sure. There is a nice little general store in town where they have a little bit of everything and they are so friendly. We will be back!

Great Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at this remote property nicely located along Fish Creek. This very clean cabin is somewhat compact and the furnishings basic and well used, but plenty adequate. The kitchen is well equipped. The queen bed has an egg crate foam mattress topper that proved to be surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom is adequate but the shower stall is very tiny and awkward to use. The best part of our stay was the wildlife in the area. 2 of our 4 days there, we awoke to see moose in the yard outside the cabin. One of those days, a mother & young moose stayed around the yard all day long. We also spotted moose along the road into Wilson. The only real downside to this location is the traffic back ups you experience getting to the Park. There are only 2 ways to get to there -- thru Jackson Hole itself, or past Teton Village to the Moose Road into the park. Jackson Hole traffic was always inched along all the way thru town. The narrow Moose Road, once in the park, is rough gravel and was always backed up with stop-and-go tourists looking for wildlife. The obvious solution -- leave early. If you're looking for luxurious accommodations, this is not your place. If you want to get away from the tourist hustle-bustle and enjoy nature, this is for you. We would definitely return here again.

Lovely Base to Explore Tetons

This extremely basic cabin provided an excellent home base for our 8-day stay in the Tetons. We loved eating dinner and watching birds each evening on the small deck overlooking the pond. The bed was very comfortable. It was fun to see the mama moose and her calf.

After visiting Jackson, it was great to validate our choice to stay in a cute cabin away from the commercial town of Jackson. The owners are gracious and very welcoming.

The property description and pictures are misleading. We thought we were getting a private cabin. Instead we got a duplex with permanent tenants. Everything else was as described.

Very quiet and perfect stay

The cabin and grounds were perfect. We really enjoyed being able to ride our bikes to the trail heads for hiking.

Fall getaway

A beautiful secluded property for those of us who don’t like crowds! A bonus was the variety of weather provided during our stay: sunny and warm, cloudy, cold and icy, rainy. We enjoyed watching a large moose desecrate several bushes from the safety of the cabin! We would love to return to do more hiking in the area.

Cozy & comfortable in a gorgeous location both the idilic setting & access to park & Jackson hole

Gina is a wonderful and helpful lady. This place for us was better than excellent in all sorts of ways. Explore the NPs & Tetons and other ranges. The family of Moose outside our windows literally inches away was a marvel when you have never seen moose in the live before. Simply exceptional for us two English explorers. Thank you Gina.

A wonderful stay at a wonderful location!

This was a wonderful place for my wife and I to stay while we visited Grand Tetons National Park. Gina was a delightful host, making sure we had all that we needed and more. She even lured a moose and her calf to the property so we could watch them munch on the willow leaves one evening. Gina is a delight to work with and the setting was perfect!

Beautiful remotely staged cabin along Fish Creek

We enjoyed coming home to our lovely Gabrielle’s Cabin each day, appreciating its location along Fish Creek, with the sounds of birds and rushing water to sooth us after long days of hiking and adventuring! Our hostess Gina was lovely, and we so appreciated sharing her family history, and this lovely homestead they have enjoyed for decades!

Awesome, great fishing

The cabin was cozy, comfortable and well equipped. It had everything we needed. We love to cook and made all our meals there with ease. Importantly, my husband (an avid fly fisherman) enjoyed great fishing on the Fish Creek a few hundred feet from the cabin and on their property. It was end of July. He caught cutthroat, brook, and whitefish! We would gladly return next year.

Wonderful

This is a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful space with access to many places of interest. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The property is very well maintained and has trails to walk. A book was provided showing the trails. Info from the owner regarding stores in the area at which to shop for supplies and/or to dine in was provided. Overall this was a wonderful experience and can be highly recommended. Would love to go there again!

I am the granddaughter of Jacqueline Hiller, who started running this guest ranch in the 1950’s. I grew up in Jackson in the 60's and 70's and graduated from the Jackson Hole High School in 1979. My summers were spent at the ranch, riding horses and fly fishing in the creek. I went to college at The Evergreen State College in Washington. The day after graduation I drove to Alaska where I lived for 32 years. In Haines, Alaska I raised three kids, as well as had a variety of jobs including cooking, teaching, fishing, and guiding. I also had a small farm where I raised chickens, goats and a large organic vegetable garden. I am back home for now, to help out my parents and help maintain the ranch. I live here with my partner, Dan, and daughter, Gabrielle, who will be graduating from the Jackson Hole High School.

My grandparents Jacqueline and Fredrick Hiller bought the Anchor Ranch in 1950. They had moved to the United States from Germany, he was a neurologist at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois. Originally they came out to Jackson as 'dudes', and stayed at Trail Creek Ranch. In 1950 they decided to buy their own property where they could be near the mountains and enjoy good fishing. Fredrick passed away in 1953, and Jackie and her two daughters, my mom, (Gabrielle) Putzi and her sister Sylvia, moved out to Wyoming permanently around 1955. At that time, Jackie started running the ranch as a dude ranch, which she continued for the next 20 years. Summer tourists, or dudes as they were called back in the day, came to the ranch for fishing, horseback riding, hiking, climbing and for some it was just coming out to be in the west. After Jackie's passing in 1993, my mom, Putzi and her husband John moved to the ranch. They have lived here ever since, and all of their four daughters have all lived here at some point in time.

I feel incredibly lucky that I get to call the Anchor Ranch my home. It is not many places in the Jackson Hole valley which have remained virtually untouched for 70 years. The corrals, arena and horses are no long here, but the trees I climbed as a young cowgirl in my cowboy boots are. And the creek and the pond still flow as pure and pristine, with cut throat and brook trout, as they always have.
