I am an older woman with some limited mobility. Most important to me is easy access, deep, clean water for swimming.
There is close, level access to the solid dock at Lake Content with a nice seat at the end. However, it is a little difficult to get in/out of the water. I recommend adding steps, or at least another 4x4 "step". The lake does get deep enough to work out, swim, but has some weeds. There are also a lot of motor boats (water skiing, jet skis, fishing) causing wakes. Plus the wind frequently causes rough water. The view from the cottage is gorgeous, and there is a lot of wildlife including bald eagles which perch in a tree close to the cottage.
Big St. Germain Lake is also accessible from the property. There was a small, rotted dock which was not level with the bank. It was VERY hard to get in/out of the lake. I recommend adding steps. The lake appears to be very shallow, and had green particles from weeds the day I checked it out.
The cottage is in a very good location, with good access roads. It is very cozy with nice decor, good ventilation, and large windows for viewing Lake Content. However, there were a lot of tiny ants, especially in the kitchen. Also, a lot of bugs that seemed to get in through the large mesh screens. The living room furniture is attractive, but uncomfortable. The chairs are too narrow and the sofa too low and uncomfortable since it is a pullout bed. The large bed was too high for me to get in even though I am 5'8". The smaller bed was very comfortable, but with tight access around the foot of the bed.
