We had a great stay. The place was quiet and secluded, yet close to some nice local hikes. Scott was a wonderful host. We barely needed his assistance, but whenever something was missing, such as an extra ingredient or a small kitchen item, he was always available while still giving us complete privacy.

We were stunned by the beauty of Scott's VRBO - both inside and out. Every possible amenity has been taken care of, and the level of comfort we experienced was outstanding. The ever-changing view of the water, sky, and trees is breathtaking. Scott is a wonderful host - very friendly and hands-on. We a great getaway - we will be back!

This property, and the property host, exceeded our expectations! The location itself was incredible, the suite was larger than anticipated and very well-appointed, and the host was extremely thorough prior to check-in (offering many suggestions in advance of the check-in) as well as while on-property. He was respectful to us as guests and offered to procure anything we may have forgotten. We are very much looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing as always. Scott’s home is absolutely beautiful. Everything you could need for a perfect stay is there. The beds and bedding are so comfortable! We kayaked, fished, relaxed on the loungers, enjoyed our morning coffee watching the ocean, finished each evening watching the stars. Scott goes above and beyond to help out with anything you may need. We will definitely be back for a third time!

100% the best rental we have ever experienced! Beautiful views and a fascinating backyard beach to view countless purple and red starfish every morning. Comfortable beds and excellent kitchen with beautiful views from every room. Scott was by far the most friendly and helpful host we have ever had. We will definitely be repeat customers.

My son and I had an amazing stay. The house is modern, super clean and organized. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and having all our meals outside. The view is like an interactive painting changing in every part of the day. Scott is an amazing host and masters the equilibrium of being present for help and hospitality and respecting our peaceful holiday feeling. Even though we came from Europe, we hope to come here again with the family.

Just what we were looking for. What a gem! The house is very clean, had all the amenities and things you need. It was quiet, beautiful, comfortable, amazing. We really enjoyed out time staying there. Saw lots of wildlife from the property and were able to go hiking in some amazing locations near by. Scott was an amazing host. Thank you!

Classic East Sooke

Aesthetically lovely: the setting and the decor. The host was generous with his assistance. We especially appreciated help at check in. The property has many beautiful staircases and we are an older couple.

Based on the photos and the positive reviews of the property and owner, we looked forward to our getaway for months. Amazing view, amazing host

The house sits on the cove and has amazing views! You can feel the stress melt away. House offers everything you need, is very well decorated and the owner is an amazing host that has thought of everything. Cannot wait to return next year!

Slice of Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our five nights at Sea Side Cove. The house was beautiful and comfortable, with everything we needed -- all in a setting of trees and abundant flowers, overlooking Sooke basin. The location was great, with access to restaurants, breweries, and other local attractions, and about a 45-minute drive to Victoria. We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and Scott stands out as a host. He made sure we had everything we needed, including information about the area. His friendliness and graciousness were part of why we enjoyed this place so much and will likely be back.

What an incredible place with a great host!

When I arrived, the location and view were beyond what I imagined. To be able to watch the change of light and weather over the water was beautiful. The rental was so thoughtfully appointed that I had everything I needed. East Sooke is the perfect location as a home base to explore the beaches and trails and really, of all the parks I went into up the west part of the island, the East Sooke Park with it’s Coast Trail ( in different sections) was as spectacular as any of the rest and just down the road. Scott was so pleasant and offered great information about the area and happenings. He was also available and generous with his time, helping me navigate some communication challenges. Equally, Scoot was respectful of my space and this stay really became almost a personal retreat for me. Great local massage therapist as well. I highly recommend and would defiantly stay here again. Thanks Scott!

Magical place

What an amazing place Scott has. The views are stunning! The yard is perfect and nothing gets you closer to the ocean than this piece of heaven. We were extremely comfortable and Scott was so helpful with everything. My kids are all fancy little kids with good taste and they loved it so so much! I recommend this place 1000% Thank you so much Scott

We relocated to Sooke 7 years ago after living in Costa Rica where we built and ran Villa Mariana, a high end, luxury vacation rental home in the jungle of Manuel Antonio.

We were looking for a home by the ocean that was slightly off the beaten path but still close enough to enjoy a Great Restaurant or a day of shopping.

Living at Seaside Cove feels like living in a watercolor painting, with the ocean view providing a pallet for an evolving landscape, of mountains, trees, wildlife ,and colors.
We have always loved nature and have spent many years in Costa Rica rescuing and rehabilitating everything from dogs and cats to sloths, coatimundis, even the occasional boa constrictor.

We value our creature comforts and offer our guests the same high standard of quality and detail that we enjoy in our home.

We enjoy hiking with our Dogs, taking an evening kayak or checking the crab pots for fresh Dungeness. Our favorite time is spending a warm afternoon picking berries, baking artisan bread and creating organic meals with ingredients from our garden.

Every effort is made to ensure our guests have their privacy and at the same time we are happy to make suggestions as to what to see and do during your stay.
