Welcome to Casa La Calma: a single-family retreat in Ajo surrounded by hills and green meadows. Enjoy complete silence and meals under a large eucalyptus tree while watching sheep and horses graze. Although it’s an oasis of tranquility, it’s very close to downtown and the beaches. Ideal for families: a spacious garden with a swing set where children can run around, and private parking on the property. Idyllic and safe.

The house consists of a 150-square-meter first floor at garden level and a first floor with a 60-square-meter attic. It is built of stone with wooden ceilings, making it comfortable and warm.
Perhaps the best feature of this house is its open-concept interior layout, designed by Anja, who sought to promote the concept of family life where all spaces are shared.
The entire south-facing side of the house is glazed with a wide opening onto the garden, so the abundance of sunlight and light illuminating the interior are among the other advantages of this home

I’m Anja, the owner. I’m a language teacher. I came from Germany and have been living in Cantabria for 35 years, where I’ve raised my family. Now I’m offering you my house—my home—where I still live year-round but rent out during the summer.
