2Turtle Bay was a good property. The management was very responsive to an issue we had with the downstairs toilet not flushing properly when we arrived. You do need to keep the blinds and curtains drawn upstairs because there is only one hvac unit and it doesn’t quite keep the upstairs cold enough. The kitchen is well stocked. Bring your own beach chairs if you don’t want to use bag chairs. We ended up buying chairs. Rent a golf cart.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for your stay! It was a pleasure hosting you and we hope you had a great time at the beach! We are glad to hear our management team resolved the toilet issue promptly and that you enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen. Thanks for the helpful tips regarding beach chairs, golf cart rentals, and the upstairs curtains. We also appreciate the feedback about the upstairs HVAC unit and are actively looking into improving the cooling efficiency for future guests. We would love to host you again on Folly anytime!

Family beach weekend

We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Bay. A few blocks from Center Street and the beach, this property is perfect to enjoy the waters on the marsh side and still be close to everything that Folly has to offer, without having to use the car.

Great condo. Loved how close it was to folly beach Main Street. Definitely walkable even with small kids. Condo was in great shape, has everything you need. Slightly outdated with wear and tear but besides that it was absolutely perfect and would very quickly stay here again.

Lots of space, nicely decorated and easy walk to the beach!

Really enjoyed the property. The unit is very spacious for 5 adults and complex was very quiet. The pool is very small but the pier was a great place to chill early in the morning with a good book and cup of coffee. Biggest benefit of the stay was it is a short walk to the beach so no need to fight for a parking space.

First time to Folly Beach

My girlfriend and I needed a weekend away and wanted to check out Charleston, SC. Folly beach popped up and we jumped at it. Girls weekend, no spouses, children, pets… this property was perfect! The pool was great, short drive to the beach, the restaurants/bars, did not disappoint. It’s not too far from the city, we went on a ghost/historical tour and the shopping was amazing. Contacting our host was extremely easy, and helpful. We will definitely return sometime in the future!

Could Have Been Better

This place is not good for those with mobility issues. Tons of steps to manage. We arrived Sunday evening and were met with roaches. We immediately called the contact number provided and were told they would take the message but the office didn’t open until Monday morning. We repacked our things and went and stayed in a hotel. The next morning after speaking with Greg the manager, he met us at the property along with the pest service. They sprayed but as we were leaving this morning (following Saturday) we saw more and killed them.We also had to have housekeeping come back out because there was pet hair on the furniture, although no pets are allowed and the upstairs bathroom drain was full of hair. Yuck!! The kitchen counter had leftover coffee stains from previous visits and wasn’t removed even after I sent pictures. We couldn’t control the temperature inside. I slept in the downstairs bedroom in my jacket, nightgown, leggings and socks, all the while covered by sheets, blankets, and towels. The whole place needs a good going over for maintenance and cleaning. The sliding door doesn’t lock although they brought us a dowel to use, the second bedroom upstairs door doesn’t lock, kitchen counter still dirty, etc.The amenities lists a water view but our view was of the junk in the next yard over and a parking lot. Greg was helpful and did his best but managing several locations is more than one person can do.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the numerous issues you experienced during your stay. This is certainly not the standard we aim for, and we sincerely apologize for the unpleasant and frustrating experience. We understand your concerns regarding the steps and will ensure that the property listing is updated to more clearly state its unsuitability for those with mobility issues. We are particularly concerned about the cleanliness issues you encountered, including the presence of roaches and pet hair, as well as the maintenance problems with the temperature control and doors. We addressed these matters immediately with our cleaning and maintenance teams in order to prevent a recurrence. We also appreciate your feedback about the water view and will review the property's listing to ensure it accurately reflects what guests can expect. Your comments are invaluable as we work to improve our properties and guest services. We are grateful to you for staying and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

We had a great stay at Turtle Bay #2! Very close to the beach, shops and restaurants but tucked away in a quiet area. My daughter enjoyed the pool access and hubby loved fishing from the private dock. Whoever decorated the house did a great job!

The property was of great quality and the surrounding area was peaceful. We particularly enjoyed the working garage, which provided ample space for loading and unloading the car even when the garage door was closed. The cleanliness and comfort of the property made it a pleasant stay, and we would definitely choose to stay again.

we enjoyed the vibe at Folly Beach the rental itself was nice. When we were there a lot of activity/noise from the house/ businesses behind the rental. Good idea to rent golf cart so quicker access to beach, restaurants. Enjoyed access to the small pool and saw beautiful sunsets on pier.
