Overall

The house was lovely.Everything was as described. Two cabinets need repaired. Doors fell off. Propane tank was empty. We didn’t feel comfortable Changing it. 5pm check in seemed late. Overall it was lovely.

Fun at the Lake!

Our first time to Norris Lake was amazing! The house was perfect! We had so much fun on our boat and swimming off the dock! The kayaks were a bonus! The property was perfect and the cove was so peaceful! We will definitely rent again!!

Norris Family Vaca #10!

Our stay at this little cottage was a welcomed summer break! Lake access and the house location on the lake was perfect! The cove where the house is located is very large and very quiet. It's off the main body of the lake but not your typical cove location! With two littles this year there was a quiet and wave free place for our five year old granddaughter to become more confident in her swimming abilities! The house accommodated our party of seven adults and two kiddos. The decks were wonderful places to gather for breakfast and late evening games. The hot tub was a plus for the two year old who still isn't quite sure about the BIG lake! Having anccess to a rental pontoon that was waiting for us when we anrrived was a big plus! It was used every day! Everything was wonderful! The path from the house to the dock is very steep without railings, which proved challenging for the older adults (I am still on the rehab side of a knee replacement!!) but by the end of the week, it seemed to get easier! If we could changed anything, it might have been nice to have one more bathroom and another ice maker, as only the kitchen refrigerator made ice! We just purchased ice but the access to ice was limited in the house when we used it to pack coolers in the morning! Thank you for helping us create some AWESOME memories!!

Another Great Place At The Lake

We always enjoy coming to Norris Lake , this is a great place to enjoy your stay quiet peaceful cove , nice dock , super easy rental process , overall 5✨ stay . Great people to rent from and enjoy your time at the lake .

To Steep For Me.

First let me say other than a few minor broken items, the home is very nice. The home is located on a one lane road on the side of a mountain. The driveway is unbelievably steep and the walk down to the dock even steeper. By afternoon no one wanted to go down to the dock because of the walk back up or walk up that driveway to get in a car. You share the driveway with home next door and it can be a little crowded. Nice home, just too steep for us.

Yearly trip 2023

We love this house. It is very clean and the beds are SO comfy. This is also our favorite neighborhood to stay in on the lake. We definitely will be booking this home again and I’ve already shared the listing with other friends who would like to book this house as well. Amazing!

The property is even better than listed. Extremely clean - both inside and out! The location is perfect with a nice walk down to the water. Although it is steep, it is fairly easy for most properties in the area. Owners and managers were responsive and helpful. One of the best I ever rented!

Easy Check-in Home was well equipped with cooking tools, bedding, towels, etc. View is gorgeous! Quiet neighborhood Well worth the money!

Wonderful!

Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of sheets & towels. The walk to the dock was a breeze due to a full sidewalk & short distance. Instructions for who to contact IF we needed anything were crystal clear as were the instructions for how to leave the house upon dismissal. Our cove was lovely & the kids played in the water everyday & fed fish every morning. Highly recommend!

Great place and location

We brought our own boat last week in June. The cul de sac cove is quiet and great to swim in. Take the boat for 5 min and you’re out in the main channel. This side of the lake is not busy but still close to Bubba Brews. We had smooth water all week. House is well appointed for 9 people with included bedding. 2 bathrooms is enough. Kitchen was great. Hot tub works. Enjoyed the fireplace. Dock was great. Driveway is steep but didn’t bother us. Walk from house to dock has a newly paved concrete sidewalk. It wouldn’t be easy for elderly or those with bad knees. Our group was aged 13-45 and didn’t stop us from having fun for a week.

Perfect house in cove

We got extremely lucky finding this house, it was the last house on the lake that would fit out group of 8. Four adults and four kids ranging in age 12-15. First, the location, super easy to find by boat because it’s the first cove past Bubba Brews. Also, the cove was great because it’s in a no wake zone so you can paddleboard and kayak as well as swim off the dock without worrying about big wakes. The kids would swim off the dock in the evening, no worries because there are lights. We rented a pontoon from the owner, it was at the dock and in great shape, just as they stated and it was super convenient. Fire pit area is well stocked with wood (thank you!) House was great and I was pleasantly surprised at all of the kitchen items available, crock pot, blender and plenty of plates, glasses, flatware. The one word of caution because we looked at the exterior pictures and didn’t heed the warning. The walk from the house to the dock is extremely steep and dangerous, especially if it’s raining or in the morning and late evening when iits damp out. My father came ans he is over 70, I was very concerned about a fall. It was difficult to get heavy or awkward items to and from the dock due to the severe incline. Other than the incline, everything was fantastic!!!

Family Vacation

The property is beautiful if I were to make any changes I would do a pathway down to the boat dock because you have to maneuver goose poop and a steep hill on slippery grass 😟..Shades for upstairs bedroom would be a huge plus !!! When you’re on vacation you sometimes want to sleep in and not get up at 6:30 in the morning … Overall a beautiful property!!! Thanks The Llewellyn Family

Beautiful location!

This house is definitely on the quieter end of the lake. We loved that it was in a quiet cove that the kids could swim in. I feel the house looks much bigger in pics than what it is but regardless, we really enjoyed our stay here!

A fabulous getaway -family with teens

We wanted to get away from the third Michigan COVID surge and snow... this quiet little cove was our great escape! House is well maintained, everything was as described or better. It's obvious they are reinvesting into their properties. We've stayed in quite a variety of home rentals and this was THE best stocked kitchen!! Super easy to prepare & eat our meals, and about 10min from grocery stores. Close to multiple state parks for hiking during the day, followed by relaxing in the wonderful hot tub to ease sore muscles, and wrapping up each evening at the covered firepit. Word of caution about the property slope of this whole area: very steep, like nothing we've experienced before. Property manager was SUPER responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing and Quiet Fall Stay at the Lake

This location was perfect for me, my wife, and three kids. Very peaceful with beautiful views. Our host was a great communicator and accommodated each of our needs during our stay. We would stay at this location again.

Great house and amazing property manager

House was great and the location was ideal quiet cove, great dock, very gradual slope. We Use to own at the other end of the lake. Not spent too much time up here. So beautiful and the boat traffic and water conditions are so much better. The property manager was so quick with response and to trouble shoot any issues. The covered fire pit was a big hit Always constructive feedback is good. It would really make sleeping arrangements better if you converted the twin bedroom into bunk beds. Also although loved the lack of steps and grade of the hill it was very slippery and we all fell several times. Just some thoughts. We hope to be back. Thanks for a great memorable week

Perfect family getaway

Just left this beautiful lakehouse and we are so sad. We had the best week with our family of 11. So many great memories on Norris Lake. The owner was so quick to respond each time I messaged him. Very helpful. So nice and easy to have the pier and easy access to the lake right out the back door. Perfect getaway on the lake, we did not have to leave the property for anything except boating. Amazing week and already planning for next year!

Great stay!

House was nice, very clean, perfect location. The house does have a strange layout, the driveway is very steep but not uncommon for Norris. Slightly steep walk down to dock but not horrible, steps or a walkway would be nice. Very close to Beach Island Marina or Cedar Grove Marina. Definitely would go back!

Labor Day weekend

We all (2 couples) had a great time. Made great use of the covered dock as well as the jet ski port. The fire pit was nice for the evenings. Firewood was provided as well as all kitchen utensils we needed. The walk down to the dock was pretty steep, but we knew that from the pictures and didn't mind the exercise but if you have elderly people in your group you should take that into consideration. The manager was awesome to work and communicate with, quickly handling anything needed. He even shipped a few items of clothing we left behind and refused to let us reimburse him for the shipping costs! There is only one negative to report, and this is something we were already aware of when we booked our stay, which is check in and check out times. 5:00 check in seems a little late for check in but if you're bringing a boat or other watercraft you can arrive to the area a little sooner and use that time to put in and travel to the dock. But 10;00 A.M. is just ridiculous for a checkout time , especially when you have the hills to and from the dock to house and the steep driveway. But like I said, we knew that when we booked our stay. All that being said, we had an awesome time and would definitely recommend this property!
