Great stay! Hot tub pool table comfy beds. A like tough to get to as it is on the mountain and narrow drive up but all in all great stay.

We totally enjoyed this property. We haven't quite figured out where the rooster that created us at the bottom of the hill came from, but he sure was handsome!! I highly recommend this cozy, peaceful space!!

Amazing place! Not only was this cabin extremely clean, it was also super close to everything. The hot tub and the views made for a great time. The host was also great, very communicative, and even worked with me when we needed to make a slight schedule change. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying here again.

Very clean and well-maintained property, and the host was very kind and easy to communicate with. The cabin is very spacious, we loved having the pool table to entertain ourselves while there, and it’s a close drive to Bryson City attractions and the national park.

This cabin was a dream. We took my elderly parents for a well deserved vacation celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary. The views were so beautiful, no annoying neighbors. We took my dog and she was relaxed and happy. The owners and repersentative were extremely helpful and kind. I cannot wait to go again. I might not leave next time.

Our family stayed at this cabin to celebrate my Mother in Law's 80th birthday. The size and layout of the cabin was great for our family of 7. The location was beautiful, but fairly remote and narrow road up to the cabin. The host provided directions that were easy to follow and that was very helpful. Check-in was a breeze and the host was very responsive. The kitchen is well equipped. The deck and fire pit area is awesome for enjoying the gorgeous view and fall color. Only complaint is the beds were a little too soft for our crew, but overall our stay was wonderful! We made great memories together!

Girls trip

3 generations and a friend which included my 91 year old mother stayed for 2 nights. We were all amazed by the craftsmanship of each and everything in the house! It was the most peaceful trip and one for the memory book! Life is too short to not enjoy each moment- which we did! Thank you for having us and look forward to a return trip!

Beautiful secluded cabin

The cabin suited our family perfectly. The porch overlooking the valley and distant mountains was so nice. At first I felt the cabin might be to far back up in the mountain, but I grew to appreciate the quiet. No people noise, no car/traffic noise, just birds. 20 mins to downtown Bryson city, about the same to the Nantahala outdoor center. White water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, taking the GSMR train ride was fun. We could only text with our phones using the satellite internet. Might want to set up a temporary Starlink acct.

Awesome mountain getaway

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were actually making the best out of a mandatory evacuation due to hurricane Milton. We needed one more place to stay just to ride out the weekend and avoid the mass migration home with all the other evacuees. We were very fortunate to find such a great place with great hosts. The house was perfect, with plenty of room for everyone and all the amenities. I personally really enjoyed the gravely mountain roads leading to the cabin at the top of the mountain. It made it feel extra remote even though we were not that far from town. A beautiful view overlooking the smokies. Only nature up there and a great view of the night sky.

A great get away from the real world

We had a rough start. Our car broke down on the way. Had to get a rental and pay for an extra day. $2000 later at first felt defeated and that the trip wasn’t worth all of it. Then I got to the cabin and changed my tune so fast. It was all worth it. It’s so peaceful. No signal (though you still have WiFi). It’s nice to get away from all the noise and just be with your family with no interruptions. The cabin and location is just so breathtaking. From the scenery of comfort of the mountains to the inside of the cabin. I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful paintings inside and all the beautiful hand made furniture. It’s definately an experience everyone should have. Will def be coming back. The dogs and children enjoyed themselves too. Perfect family get away.

Comfortable place with a fantastic view

We stayed at the cabin for 3 nights. Check in was easy and convenient, could be completed without stopping by office and all the information and directions for the cabin was accurate and easy to follow. Road to cabin wasnt too bad, we did have an suv which would probably be best. The parking area was easy with plenty of room for a couple of cars and turn around. We chose this cabin for the view and thats what we enjoyed most about it. We also appreciated the games/cards, pool table, and hot tub! The place was clean and there was enough dishes and towels for everyone (4 of us) We went to the NOC on our first evening, nice dinner on the river and sitting by the river. Was about 15 min from cabin. The 2nd day we rented a pontoon boat on nearby Fontana lake which was beautiful and we stopped by the river close to the cabin. There was a swinging bridge on Needmore road that was worth visiting due to proximity. The 3rd day we went to the Okonoluftee river trail at the entrance to the Smokies, about 40 min away. We walked the trail, swam in the river (there were lots of tubers) and saw some elk. We then drove about 25 min to Deep Creek and hiked the easy 3 waterfalls there, also lots of tubers there. Overall, the location was central to many activities and I would recommend this cabin to others.

Bryson City Dec 8th -11th.

The cabin was more remote than we realized it would be. The roads going up to it were rough and it was raining so that made them worse. The cabin was not real clean- I had to clean the vent on the refrigerator bottom on the first day because it was clogged with what looked like pet hair. I got a huge clump of it out. The frig was not cooling and I had to call about it. The property owner did come out and check on it the next day. We were appreciative of that. The kitchen floor was also not clean and didn't appear to be recently mopped- because I spilt some water and when I wiped it up the paper towel was filthy . The VRBO add said it accommodated up to10 but really the max was 6 so I was charged extra for the 4 kids. I brought an air mattress, so we used that. The furnishing are also dated. The kitchen was advertised as fully stocked but most of the pans were in bad shape. We had to use aluminum foil to cover all the baking pans and the other pots were scratched up pretty bad and some of the others had rust . The stove was very greasy - so we cleaned it with Clorox wipes. Coffee Keurig leaked when you made a cup. They also had a very cheap coffee maker. There was someone's wallet on top of the frig so again I don't think cleaning was very thorough. (We notified owner that it was there.) The fan in the downstairs bathroom sounded like a plane taking off so we had to make sure we kept it turned off. We had 10 people and there is only one small plastic trash can outside. The rules in the cabin say the owners will only take what is the can. We had to load up bags of trash in the pouring rain and find a place to take it too on the day we left. That was pretty frustrating. Internet was spotty as well. We were warned about that prior to coming. The back yard is really not safe for little ones to play (we had (2) –4-year, (1)- 5 and (1)-6-year-old. ) - it is narrow and has a steep drop off. The cross ties that were placed to form a barricade are missing in some places. It was nice to have an electric fireplace and a hot tub, the Christmas decorations were well done. The place was pet friendly and that was a nice feature. I would not stay here again .

The house was very clean and more than large enough to accommodate the four of us. The communication with the rental agency couldn’t have been any better when I needed to reach out to them for a couple of issues we had. Kitchen is well stocked and beds are comfortable. The couple of cons I had were that the trees are really much larger than when the picture from the deck was taken, and there isn’t really a view. The house is very dark as there’s no natural light, however that is what you should expect being in the woods. The outside deck area really wasn’t very inviting and could use some sprucing up. The drive up to the house is very narrow and steep, but again the house is high up in the middle of the woods. Although this cabin wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for, anyone who wants to be in the middle of the woods and enjoys an older home would probably enjoy it.

Beware of owner I called 911

I had to call 911 to the owner. We were out oh water for 2 1/2 days. He came to the cabin wanting to fight my 51 year old husband. The owner was a marine & is 82. He thought somehow we tore up the water pumps. It was 1 degree so they froze. He called my husband a MF & told him to come on the porch with his fist drawn. We had our 3 year old & 19 month old grandsons & their parents with us. His last words when he left he was coming back for all of us. I took that as he was going to kill us. The police came he came back & they know how he is. I deal with his daughter Ginger she’s so nice. So the first day no power for 4 hours the second & third day no water. Which we could have survived it just made us so uncomfortable that we all slept with our hand guns next to us & I told the police we had guns & if we had to we would use them. His daughter told me she wished I would have pressed charges she maintains all of his rentals & talks to her mean so she quit doing it for a year & his sales sank. Anyway he is mean & I will never rent from him again. Thank you Tracy Bennett

This was a very unfortunate situation! When you have two people that are feeling threatened things escalate quickly. Emotions were running high and loud by both parties. However this should have be avoided. Both parties had the choice to press charges. I at no times wished or desired to see our guest or the owner have charges brought against them. As we talked many times Tracy about rental, health, etc. I do feel that some of my words were taken out of context. As we try to make our guest stay as great as possible I'm sorry your stay was not.
