Unik Clifftop-fyrtårn med en fantastisk udsigt over Kachemak-bugten

Bemærk: Kabinen er elektricitetsfri!

Fyrtårnet er perfekt til dem, der gerne vil have et mere privat sted i Halibut Cove. Det ligger på klipperne ud for nordsiden af øen, 10 minutters gang fra den offentlige strandpromenade og seværdigheder. Nyd at se på fugle, sæler, oter, hvaler og andet dyreliv, der leger i havet lige under dine vinduer.

Denne hytte har et lille privat udhus tæt på bagdækket. Nedenunder er udstyret med en duel propan komfur, en brændeovn komfur, håndpumpe vask, enkeltseng / dag seng og bord og stole. Ovenpå har et smukt åbent soveværelse med en queensize seng.

Når du ankommer og rejser, kører vi mere end glade gæster og deres ejendele til og fra fyret. Når du er tilbage på promenaden finder du Experience Fine Art Gallery, The Cove Gallery, The Saltry Restaurant og Halibut Cove Coffee House. Gæsterne har brug af det private bad og toiletrum i Cove Gallery (10 min. Fra fyret). Alle håndklæder, sengetøj, træ og propan leveres. Vi leverer ikke mad eller drikke. Bemærk venligst på grund af forkert brug af generatoren og forårsager brandfare i kabinen er elektricitetsfri. Alle enheder kan oplades i kaffebaren eller galleribygningen. Du skal medbringe en køler til madvarer.

The lighthouse on the cliff

Our stay at the lighthouse was amazing, the views are incredible from every part of the lighthouse. The first night we were able to sleep 5 in it with some help from the owners with bringing in a cot for us! As soon as we arrived at Halibut Cove they met us at the dock and took us and our belongings to the lighthouse on a side by side. Overall it was a great stay with great views and great accommodations!

Amazing!!!

Martha is amazing! We had such a beautiful stay. It exceeded our expectations! The people are so wonderful and kind, the town is so small and everyone knows everyone. An amazing place for a honeymoon to unwind and enjoy the views. We saw eagles, sea otters and so much more wildlife. Martha also brought us some fresh salmon to cook. Seriously an incredible experience I hope this cove never changes its beauty. Can’t wait to go back!

Magical Family Vacation

If you are looking for a magical adventure, this place is for you! The hosts were wonderful, they shared a beautiful fresh salmon fillet with us and even let us take their boat for a spin around the bay. The view from the lighthouse is stunning, especially the view over the kitchen sink. The tide pooling was plentiful. We spent hours exploring the beach and late nights playing games and watching sea otters feast below us in the ocean! Booking this place will be the best choice you made all year!

Breathtaking Lighthouse Rental

Our experience staying in the Lighthouse at Halibut Cove was simply amazing! We couldn’t have asked for better weather with 4 days of sunshine, blue skies, and calm breezes. I can’t say enough nice things about our host and her team who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. The Lighthouse was clean and well equipped with one of the nicest outhouses I’ve ever used. Visiting in July with the long hours of daylight, we didn’t miss electricity. We mostly cooked on the BBQ grill, and had nightly fires in the outdoor Chiminea while viewing gorgeous sunsets. Just a couple of things to be aware of…this property sits close to a very steep cliff. This adds to the great experience, but something to keep in mind if you’re bringing kids or pets. Our biggest challenge was getting our gear up and down the steep ramps to the docks to catch the water taxis. We had 4 days worth of food and drinks in a heavy Yeti cooler, and even with the a collapsible wagon we brought to haul the cooler, it was really difficult to navigate the ramps. However, once in Halibut Cove, our host got us and our gear to and from the Lighthouse in a comfortable ATV. Besides the breathtaking views everywhere, we enjoyed seeing eagles, otters and horses on the island. We walked the trails to all the incredible vistas and along the beaches. We highly recommend this property for a unique and spectacular Alaskan experience.

Halibut Cove Lighthouse

There are not enough words to describe our stay at Halibut Cove. This was our second time in the lighthouse and what a magical experience. It's remote, peaceful, extremely clean and comfortable and Martha and her staff were so accommodating. Even taking us out on a glacier hike one morning which was another highlight. Note that is rental does not have electricity or running water. (clean little outhouse on property and a bathhouse down by the docks if you need a shower). They do have other rentals on the island however that have electricity and indoor plumbing. We planned ahead and made reservations for 2 nights at the delicious Saltry restaurant and enjoyed morning coffee at the quaint little coffee house. We didn't mind the 1/2 mile of so walk down to the docks because being away from it all was exactly what we were looking for. Watched seals, otters and even a far off humpback whale right from our windows. If I could give Halibut Cove rentals 10 stars I would. Our 19 year old daughter magically turned into a little kid again combing the beach and skipping down the hills....and this is why I call it magical. We will be back!!!

An amazingly special place

Wow, how do you put into words how incredibly special this place is. Perched on the edge of a cliff above Kachemak Bay you are secluded and surrounded by beauty everywhere. We were able to watch the sea otters play while enjoying our morning coffee and tea. The lighthouse was clean and well equipped and not having electricity made it even more adventurous. It is a nice 10 minute hike to the cute coffee shop and boardwalk. Everyone one we met was amazingly friendly and accommodating with mesmerizing stories of the history of Halibut Cove and its residents. We enjoyed three delicious meals at the Saltry Restaurant and our services was amazing. Even on a day where the weather was to rough for the ferry to make the trip from Homer to the restaurant the staff was kind enough to cook just for the two of us and invited us to join them at the community table. An amazing place with beautiful scenery and incredibly kind and interesting people.

Love this Lighthouse!

If we could summarize this property into one word it would be magical. The views were spectacular and the host was beyond friendly and accommodating. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Make sure to bring all of the food you need for your stay and ample ice to store it. Martha (our gracious) host provided us a cooler which was very helpful and even went so far as to leave us a warm dinner on our first night. Not having electricity was never an issue as it was daylight 24 / 7 during our stay and the kitchen provided a propane cooktop. And you can’t beat the view from the dining window! The only challenges were figuring out transportation (which our host was extremely helpful and accommodating to) and getting additional food as the restaurant and coffee shop on the island were a disappointment to say the least. Unfortunately the staff at both locations were beyond rude which was uncharacteristic of anything else we experienced in Alaska even post Covid. The food / drinks were nowhere close to the raving reviews we had read and the staff was actually insulting, causing parts of our stay to be uncomfortable. Putting that aside, the lighthouse, the overall experience; and the hospitality we received from the owners was exceptional and we hope to visit again soon.

Unique Experience

Amazing unique experience to visit Halibut Cove. We loved staying at the lighthouse. Fun hike involved. The property is perfectly described. Highly recommend!
