Liz, we are so glad you had a chance to stay at the cabin. You’re correct, the cabin has so much to offer even tho it’s small-it’s just enough. And the cabin is “perched” above the community slightly to give you the private feeling without being secluded. We are so glad you found us and hopefully we will see you again for another vacation.

Elaine, Since you have been here 2 years ago, the cottage has been totally renovated. The ceilings are vaulted cedar with all new hickory floors and hickory cabinets. the bedrooms have all new beds with a star show in each room. The bathroom has a vaulted cedar ceiling with a heat lamp for a sauna for a relaxing shower. WiFi is in with chrome cast for movies as well as a DVD player. Central air helps the cabin feel cozy cool even during the hot august months. Its also been turned in to a log cabin whereas it was before a cottage. Many changes were added to make it a totally new experience.

Your insecurities are limiting you from the experience. The host greeting you is one of the complimentaries that is extended to all guests to make them feel welcome and to answer any questions. You had refered to "everything I had said was in the manuel you already reviewed." Obviously, you had not read the manuel. On the VRBO website, the rental agreement that you had signed, stated that the speed limit that needed to be observed was 9mph for the safety of the children, (also there was a copy of the rental agreement on the table in the cabin.) I received a text from a resident from our commmunity (on Friday the 19th), that they were walking by our cabin and the excessive speed you were going, you almost hit them. They watched as you raced down the road and ran from you car into the cabin. The text I received from the residents wanted me to remind you of the excessive careless speed you were going and that you nearly hit them. The manuel on the table also explains that in June we have what's called "Mayflies" that come over from Canada and come ashore. This is what you explained as "bugs". You had opened the back windows of the cabin and left for an extended period of time and caused your owns problem when they came into the cabin, (they were not in the cabin when you first arrived.) Upon arrival back, you noticed the mayflies all over the cabin. They are harmless. If you had read the manuel on the table, it was addressed in the manuel that you had said you had read. Both of these problems could have been avoided if you would have taken the proper precautions.
