Spotless space with all needed amenities, including street parking.Nuno was extremely communicative and attentive, making our stay in Sao Roque/PDL as pleasant/comfortable as possible.

Authentic Sao Miguel Experience

Located in scenic Sao Roque just minutes to Ponta Delgada, Casa Nuno & Lorraine is a charming two bedroom house with everything we needed. We were able to explore the entire island and have a comfortable home to return to. Nuno and Lorraine were very helpful and courteous and ensured we had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely wonderful!

There are not enough positive words, in English, Portuguese, or any other language, to describe how fantastic my stay here has been. The house and garden are beautiful, the location is great (easy to get anywhere from here, but nice to be away from downtown). Nuno and Lorena went above and beyond to help me with anything I needed. It has really felt like home (I'm here for work), I'm sad to leave, and I will be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience!

This is the first time we've chosen to rent a home instead of a hotel. Nuno and Lorraine have been the most hospitable and absolutely lovely host and hostess we could have asked for. Nuno was there for us right from day one. He gave us guidance, maps, advice and picked us up when we got lost! We are grateful to have found such a spotless, warm home just steps from anywhere you want to go and convenient to any location to visit. Thank-you Nuno and Lorraine for all you did for us, we look forward to staying at Nuno House and Lorraine on our next visit to beautiful Sao Miguel. Joe and Elena

Velfungerende hus med hyggelig have

Kan absolut anbefales, meget rent og pænt, godt udstyret. Ligger i roligt område med ca 1 km til indkøbsmuligheder og restauranter. Venlige værter.

Nuno and Lorena were lovely hosts, very responsive with good communication. They were very helpful when we had any questions or needed directions. Their place was clean and just as the listing shows. Location is within walking distance to restaurants and shoreline. We were very happy and would definitely recommend. Thank you!

A very nice small house on a busy street.

We enjoyed our 11 days at this very clean, tidy, and well-appointed house. The outside area at the back of the house is very warm, welcoming, and relaxing. The only negative was the noise of the cars passing just outside the window. Even so, we loved the house and it's close proximity to Ponta Delgada. The beach below the church in Sao Roque (just a ten to 15 minute walk from the house) is must-see for visitors to the island and the walk way along the ocean is one of the prettiest anywhere. You will not be disappointed if you rent this property. Just remember to bring earplugs if you have a low tolerance for traffic noise.

Agradecemos o vosso comentário. No que diz respeito a rua movimentada, gostaríamos de informar que a rua não é mais do que qualquer outra , notamos que este período de verão houve de facto um pouco mais do que o normal mas esta situação deu-se devido ao encerramento de uma grande parte da rua principal de São Roque estar interdita ao transito para melhoramentos da via e algum transito a mais divergiu para a rua onde se situa a casa. A casa não está situada em nenhum resort, pois estes não existem nos Açores. Para continuar a dar o mais possível conforto aos nossos hóspedes vamos substituir as janelas já existentes com vidros duplos para outro tipo de material e vidro de modo a isolar ainda mais o barulho que menciona.

Nice and convenient

We stayed 8 nights with two teenage kids.. Sparkling clean and cozy apartment, loved Nuno’s thoughtfulness with providing itinerary suggestions and Restaruant recommendations. Found really good TV channel that showed our favorite movies:) But mostly we were out and about exploring the island. Location is convenient, close to Ponta Delgada center (about 7-10 min by car), same for Lagoa. Several nice public beaches nearby to swim and relax after a day of exploring the amazing nature of Sao Miguel.

Very pleasant place and host

We were greeted by Nuno with smiles even if our flight was delayed and all the info we needed for our unit and the surrounding area upon arrival. Amenities were well equipped. Neighborhood was safe and within walking distance groceries and city center. Nice patio, although no view. We couldn’t have asked for anything more We will be back!

Fantastisches Haus

Das Ferienhaus entsprach komplett den Erwartungen, ist sehr geräumig und gemütlich. Außerdem ist der Vermieter sehr freundlich, man hat sich sofort willkommen und zu Hause gefühlt! Sehr zu empfehlen.

Formidable séjour aux Açores chez Nuno et Lorena

Formidable séjour dans cette très agréable maison. Les propriétaires sont des gens très chaleureux, toujours disponibles et aimables,ils nous avaient concocté un programme de visite de l'ile très utile. La maison est très agréable et fonctionnelle avec l’arrière cours sans vis à vis et calme. Elle est bien situé et proche d'une petite plage charmante. Nous avons apprécié le fait que l'endroit donne accès à toutes les commodités (commerces, restaurants,aéroport ainsi que le port). De plus la position géographique nous permettait à la fois de visiter le coté Est et Ouest de l'ile, sans avoir à parcourir de grandes distances. Je recommande vraiment cette location et remercie sincèrement Nuno et Lorena pour leur formidable accueil, qui nous à permis de passer un séjour inoubliable. Encore merci à eux Et on l'espère à bientôt.

Belle maison de vacances au coeur de l'île de Sao Miguel

Très bon accueil par les propriétaire qui font honneurs aux Açores par leur gentillesse et leurs conseils. La maison est très propre avec tout le confort pour 4 à 5 personnes et une bonne situation pour visiter l'île. Magasins, restaurants, location de voiture, plages à 5min en voiture. Gemütliches Ferienhaus im Ortskern, nur 5 Automin. zum Strand von Sao Roque Nähe Ponta Delgarda

Die Insel Sao Miguel ist ein Traum, sie bietet so viele Naturerlebnise das ist sagenhaft. Viele Wanderwege durch die herrliche Landschaft, prachtvolle Hortensien und andere Blumen, Wasserfälle, heiße Vulkanquellen, Meeresschwimmbäder, super Strände, herrliche, angelegte Parkanlagen und Picknickplätze, lecker Essen und vieles mehr. Die Azoreaner sind liebe und nette Menschen. Hinfahren und überraschen lassen...... Wir hatten eine schöne und erholsame Zeit im Ferienhaus "Casa Nuno e Lorena". Die Vermieter wohnen direkt nebenan, beide sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Mit Nuno konnten wir uns in englisch sehr gut verständigen. Das Haus hat eine einfache Ausstattung, es ist sauber und ordentlich. Die Fenster haben überwiegend Fliegengitter, der kleine Hof mit Garten ist uneinsehbar, die Wäsche kann man wunderbar unter dem Nebengebäude trocknen, denn es regnet mal zwischendurch, aber es hat angenehme Temperaturen im Juni-August. Wir können das Ferienhaus empfehlen und sagen vielen Dank an Nuno u. Lorena - bis zum nächsten Mal und viele Grüsse Nos dizemos obrigado , ate a proxima vezes e muitas saudacoes Monica u. Rainer

Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Sr Nuno, de uma grande simpatia, que esperou por nós e isto apesar da hora tardia a que chegámos. Gostamos muito da casa, que dispõe de todas as comodidades. O Sr Nuno tem o cuidado de dar todas as informações necessárias para uma boa estadia. Esperamos voltar um dia a esta ilha maravilhosa e à casa do Nuno & Lorena. Recomendo vivamente.

Excellent séjour

Nuno est très accueillant et présent si besoin. Sa maison est conforme à la description, suffisamment grande pour 5 personnes. Tout le nécessaire est fourni. Elle est idéalement située pour visiter Sao Miguel qui est une île magnifique, à faire en famille, sur une semaine. Nous conseillons sans hésitation

Ein kleines Haus in der Nähe von Ponta Delgada.

Ein sehr freundlicher Vermieter erwartete uns am Anreisetag. Nach der völlig unkomplizierten Übergabe, wohnten wir ungestört eine Woche in diesem kleinen Haus an einer engen Straße. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es an der Straße und einem Seitenweg. Ein Garten hinter dem Haus lädt zum Verweilen ein. Es ist an alles gedacht. Bis zu 4 Personen kommen hier unter. Uns hat Aufenthalt gut gefallen. Von hieraus erreicht man schnell alle Teile der Insel und ist in 10 Minuten am Flughafen.

Nuno House and Lorraine

When my family and I arrived at the vacation rental, Nuno, the owner, was there to greet us. Nuno took time to show us around the property. What I noticed about the inside of the house was that it was very clean and well equipped with many household items. In addition, the backyard, which included a patio and a small garden, was also well maintained and lovely. Across the street from the house is where guests can park their rental car. This property is in town and close to a local beach.

Wundervolles Ferienhaus

Wir verbrachten eine Woche im Ferienhaus Nuno und Lorraine im Oktober/November 2016. Der Empfang vom Vermieter war sehr herzlich. Er zeigte uns das Haus und erklärte uns alles Wichtige. Von dem Haus waren wir angenehm überrascht. Es hat eine ruhige Lage und ist gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und alles war sehr ordentlich. Der geschützte Innenhof lädt zum draußen sitzen ein. Als Ausgangspunkt für Touren über die Insel Sao Miguel ist Ponta Delgada perfekt. Ein Hefter mit den schönsten Touren über die Insel und die wichtigsten Prospekte lagen bereit. Es wird dabei auf alle Sehenswürdigkeiten genau eingegangen. So verpasst man wirklich nichts. Der Badestrand ist ebenfalls nicht weit. Mit dem Auto ist man in fünf Minuten da. Bei Fragen und Problemen half uns der Vermieter stets weiter. Wir verbrachten eine schöne Zeit auf einer schönen Insel und können das Haus wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschöner Azorenurlaub

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne Ferienwochen im Casa Nuno & Lorraine. Obwohl wir sehr spät abends ankamen, wurden wir von unserem Gastgeber persönlich sehr freundlich begrüßt. Er zeigte uns unser Ferienhaus, ein Obstkorb und die Grundausstattung für das erste Frühstück am nächsten Tag hatte er auch schon bereitgestellt. Das Haus war sehr sauber und entsprach voll und ganz der Beschreibung sowie unseren Erwartungen. Es war für alle Urlaubsbedürfnisse bestens eingerichtet (incl. Hand- und Duschtüchern). Der kleine von unserem Gastgeber liebevoll gestaltete und gepflegte Garten war an vielen Abenden unser Platz zum Essen und die Erlebnisse des Tages Revue passieren zu lassen. Im Haus lagen Karten, Ausflugsrouten, Restauranttipps. Dies und die immer wieder wertvollen Tipps unseres Gastgebers trugen dazu bei, dass wir mit unserem Mietwagen wunderschöne Ausflüge machen konnten. Wir können unseren Gastgeber, sein Ferienhaus und die Insel Sao Miguel mit seinen vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Naturwundern und üppigen Landschaften nur jedem bestens empfehlen.

la maison est grande avec un équipement complet même une machine à laver dans un état de propreté exemplaire.Nous avons souvent manger dehors dans le patio bien agréable.Nuno nous avait donné un itinéraire détaillé pour arriver sans se perdre.Il avait aussi mis à disposition un book avec des suggestions de visites bien intéressantSao Roque est proche de Ponta Delgada et possède une plage de sable agréable.Un seul bémol la chambre du rez de chaussée proche de la rue est un peu bruyante la nuit surtout le week-end où il y a un peu plus de circulation mais en général le quartier est calme et résidentiel.

Good Location

The casa was well situated just east of Ponta Delgada, in Sao Roque , ten minutes or less from the airport. The home was spotless and fully equipped. Having a guide book with daily suggestions really helped us plan our days visiting the island, thank you Nuno. Our host informed us before our arrival that we would be there for a major religious celebration and might want to see it. Well, what a celebration it was! Continente for shopping is two minutes from there. A small and very popular take away place, Cozinha d'Arlete, less than five minutes, serves great meals at a good price. As mentioned in other reviews, a car is a necessity if one plans to visit the different attractions on the island, and parking is not a problem. One comment for people who are light sleepers, the place is on a busy street.

Thank you Jan and Jacques for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed your visit and to stay in our house. Regarding the street being busy, this was due to the festivities that was also taking place in the near village and most traffic was directioning to our street. We hope this little issue did not disturb your holidays, we are sorry if it did. The house is not situated in the country side, it is in the suburban of the city of Ponta Delgada and betwen the villages of Faja de Baixo and Sao Roque. Wishing you and your family the best in life.
