I would advise no one stay at this property. The pictures on VRBO are a complete misrepresentation of the property. From the green grass pictured that is actually dirt to the fresh white paint. The paint is peeling and the exterior of the home is very dirty. The porch railings are loose and falling apart. Paint cans laying around. Several garden hoses laying around in the dirt. The house smells musty. The carpet on the stairs torn. The furniture is terribly worn. Cracked bedroom window. Many more cosmetic issues. A full time resident lives on the first floor. She yelled at me for walking in the back yard or dirt area. Probably not the person you want talking to your VRBO guests.

I should have trusted my gut about your booking being a scam from the beginning. It had all the signs, booking and canceling numerous times in one day. The constant back and forth about paying especially trying to exchange money out side of the app. Then you trying to shake us down for money outside of the app. As for your claim that my listing does not match, either you did not read the description, you are incapable of being able to read or this was all part of the scam. The description clearly states that this is a duplex in several locations. But I guess you got exactly what you were after. You stayed in our home for free and then stole items out of the home and trashed our house. I hope you enjoyed your vacation on our dime. As for your claim that my tenant yelled at you, I cannot see how that could have happened since she was at the NICU with her grandson that whole week.

Overall, accommodations were as advertised. Beds comfortable with nice bedding. Kitchen appeared well stocked, although we did not utilize the kitchen. However, very poor lighting in order to get into upstairs rental. Landscaping in poor condition, not at all as pictured. Needs handrails on steps. Reclining loveseat does not function correctly. Parking is an issue. We had a busy schedule and did not spend a great deal of time at the rental. The owners were responsive with initial questions. In all fairness, we did not contact them about small issues that need to be addressed for future visitors, but were not limiting for our short visit.

Aplolgies, we were unaware of the loveseat and will have it assessed. And sorry about the landscaping, the night before you arrived we had quite the wind and hail storm (up to lemon size) that come through which bombarded the trees, garden items, and fence. We attempted to clean up best we could but it definitely doesn't look as good as it did. But we will get it back to normal as quick as we can.

A Really Great Garden Area

We had a great stay here visiting our kid at USAFA. The highlight was the beautiful garden and the opportunity to bbq and hang out in the outdoor dining area.

Great location, but the home was advertised as 2 bathrooms and it only one.

Beautiful home

This home was perfect for hosting our family reunion. The kids items already there were a huge plus, and John and Jenny were extremely easy to work with. The home is on a really busy street, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. There’s also a park a few blocks away.

Family reunion/get together

Overall impression was great. Historic home and we loved the decor that matched. Plenty of space for us to sit and visit inside and multiple porches and gathering areas outside. Would stay again if we have the need.

This property worked well for our family reunion.

The house was really nice and certainly fit our needs for our family reunion. The yard could have used some sprucing up but we mostly used the backyard bbq area which was perfect. John and Jenny were wonderful to work with and provided great communication and service. We would certainly recommend the house and would come back again.

Once again, this home more than met our needs for a large family in a convenient location.

With two separate living areas each on its own floor, our daughter's family had their own space and we had ours to retire to. We did not make use of the outdoor living area and hot tub due to competing activities and spring weather, but they are a wonderful addition. We plan to be back next year.

The host Jenny was amazing!

The host was great, literally the best part of the house! The house was mewe but it seems to be the theme for that area. The house is historic though. Not as clean as anticipated but the whole area seemed kind of like that. The house really has everything you need for your stay (minus food). The house definitely has the space! We had a large group of us and it didn’t feel like we were on top of each other.

Sara We are glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope your kids did well in their tournament. We are sorry you feel this area of town is not very clean. I feel you might have misjudged it based on the mounds of dirty snow that was piled up all over town. We had a spring blizzard days before you arrived that created a lot of heavy wet snow. I hope you visit our city again especially in late spring or summer when all of the trees and flowers are blooming and you can see how beautiful this city is. Amazing Christmas house!

We had such a memorable stay at the home. It has so many great features, but our family enjoyed the hot tub the most. We never left the property for our whole stay. Jenny &John thanks for making our Christmas the best yet!

Loved it, great house in a great location

We stayed 6 nights and were very pleased with the whole experience. Easy location to get around town from. The driveway was a little challenging to navigate, a lower riding car may not make it in, but there’s plenty of parking on the street. The hot tub was awesome and the backyard with outdoor kitchen was a fantastic touch 10/10 would recommend
