Thanksgiving

We had a fantastic time at the Eagle's Nest this Thanksgiving. It was a central location for all 13 of us to meet. The place was clean, beautiful. We had a fire in the firepit, hung out in the hot tub, sauna, playing pool and just hanging with family. Recommend the Eagle's Nest to anyone.

Easy great big house for multiple families

The house was easy to find and is really nicely set up for multiple families, with sets on bedrooms on all three floors. The bed rooms are all big enough for a pack n play. It was very clean and the hot tub was easy to use. As others have mentioned, the decor is dated, but it is in good condition. The view is lovely and it was close to so many things to do. We would come again.

Eagles Nest Property

Everything was great. Carpets could use a good cleaning. The deck should be swept. A lot of spider webs and the railings. Very nice property!

Loved all but the carpet on the main floor is stained badly and dirty.. Sewage backed up on lower level and had to have it remedied. Yuk

To expensive!

Beautiful to look at, very disappointed with the bedding, and horrible musty smell downstairs, couldn’t sleep there! Had to get someone to come fix TVs, and fireplace, which only ran for a couple hours upstairs and quit again!

Eagles Nest

The house was beautiful and spacious. The hot tub and sauna were nice extras. We were told there were community tennis courts and pavilion, but there was no map at the house and it took 4 days to get a response from the property manager (we were only there for 5). Pretty easy to get to various places around Deep Creek. No lake access, but beautiful views.

The housekeeping (both inside and out) needs more attention. The furniture (both inside and out) should be evaluated and repaired. Lots of wildlife!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. The house was beautiful and clean. The lake views were better than expected. You could see them from all over the house. We had a little problem with the hot tub but it was fixed immediately. Couple suggestions..would love a fire pit and swing. Also trim the trees down by the bottom deck for a better view of the lake. We already booked our stay for next june.

Amazing Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view of the lake from high above through all the windows in this house is amazing. The house itself is large with all the rooms being generous in size. We had 2 families (3 kids/4 adults) and we could have easily fit another family. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. We would stay here again and would love to see it in the spring or summer. We did have a few challenges, which we did not report to the rental agency since they were fairly minor. The driveway is a bit steep and it had snowed recently and iced over so we had difficulty getting up the driveway without 4 wheel drive and needed to spend some time chipping away at the snow/ice. We couldn't get the sauna working. The steps to the basement are steep - just something to keep in mind if you have small kids - and the carpeting in the bathroom was a bit strange :| The overall decor was a bit dated - not a big deal for a rental, but just trying to give a thorough review. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. It is also a great location - close enough to Wisp and right around the corner from Brenda's pizza and a great coffee shop.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean and perfect. Just a few issues, 1. Sauna did not work correctly and we called for a repair and no one showed up. We could not use the sauna. Open live wires. A HUGE fire hazard. 2. We had snow during our stay and the driveway and steep hill in front of the house was not plowed. We had to tow one of the three vehicles we had up the hill to leave on our last day. Other than those two things the place was great. Would do it again.

The electronics in this cabin (small and dated TVs, internet didnt seem to work all weekend), were the only draw back, but it was a blessing in disguise, since we all had great fun playing all the board games that were in the foyer cabinet. Definitely recommend this place again, particularly if you want to be close, look over the water, and don't need direct dock access.
