Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the home’s spacious layout, decks, views, and convenient location near the DE Sports Complex and the beach. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The listing does disclose that the access road may experience occasional tidal flooding during certain weather and astronomical tide conditions, which is a known characteristic of many coastal communities in this area. These events are infrequent and typically temporary. Guest safety is extremely important to us. Our local fire department is specially equipped for coastal flooding situations and maintains emergency response equipment including military vehicles, airboats, and rescue boats specifically designed for this type of environment. We also feel it is important to note that the conditions described in this review were highly exaggerated. While there was standing water present during an unusually high tide event, the roadway remained passable to local traffic once tides receded, as is typical in the area. Many guests stay with us throughout the year without issue and appreciate the unique waterfront setting that comes with coastal living. We encourage all guests visiting coastal areas to monitor weather and tide conditions during their stay, especially during periods of unusually high tides or storms.
