This house was perfect. Plenty of fans to keep you nice and cool at night. We visited mid/end June and it was a little warm during the day but not uncomfortable and absolutely perfect overnight and in the morning. The home has everything you could need to cook, shower, do laundry, etc. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent

Teague and Corrie were very responsive and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay. Location is superb near magic Beach and wonderful snorkeling- the best we experienced. There were lovely birds in the morning as we woke and even a nest off the Lanai. Kitchen was very well equipped and easy to cook nice dinners there as well. Excellent stay.

Great Aloha Stay

We have had the pleasure of visiting Hawaii many times. This was one our best places to stay. Great location. Wonderful Kitchen with all the items we needed to cook at home. Decor made us feel the Island spirit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kailua-Kona. Clean, Bright and Warm.

This house is so comfortable and welcoming. Large common space. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Beautiful sunset view from the huge lanai. Easy check in and out. The neighborhood is a little noisy. There’s no air conditioning so the windows and doors stay open so you hear everything. But if you’re used to that it’s not a problem. Overall a great place.

Lovely house

House is very well appointed with everything you might need: snorkel and surfing gear, beach towels, fully equipped kitchen, even yoga matts. It's in a local neighborhood very close to the beach. Lanai is fabulous. Bird song in the morning, coqui frogs at night, stars and sunsets from the lanai

Beautiful home near beach

My 15 year old daughter and I stayed here for 4 days. We loved this place! Nicely appointed with Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Asian furniture and art, well stocked kitchen and nice grill for the gourmet, and an amazing lanai where we spent much of our time enjoying the cool breezes. All the water sports gear any enthusiast could ask for (snorkeling gear, boogie boards, surfboard). The owners are ideal and thoughtful hosts (the welcome basket with Hawaiian snacks and a bottle of wine was a nice touch). Looking forward to another visit to the Kona area, and staying here again!

Lovely November Stay

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property, which was clean, well-furnished and comfortable. We enjoyed the home's proximity to Magic Sands Beach, grocery store and other local attractions. We enjoyed using the beach gear and ice chest on visits to the beach and Volcanos National Park. My wife and I tend to rent properties with air conditioning as we like it cool. The fans did a good job of keeping us cool, especially after the sun went down. We'd definitely recommend this property to others.

Comfortable getaway

What a beautiful home and place to relax while on vacation. Loved the chance to enjoy the lanai, make meals at home, and have space for everyone. Everything we needed was there and available from all the kitchenware to the beach gear. As a traveler that uses VRBOs often, I always love clear instructions for check in/out, how to care for the home, use things, and what to do around town. This home has all of that and was so helpful. We greatly enjoyed our time and will be back! Mahalo!

A true gem: comfortable, clean and close to beaches/shopping

The property exceeded our every expectation. Perfect for our family of 5 including 3 young adult daughters. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and enjoyed having this as our home base for a 10-day stay. Located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, the house is stocked with indoor features and outdoor amenities including beach/snorkeling gear and various surf/body boards. The outsized lanai spans the entire width of the house but allows privacy if desired. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and made good use of the gas grill, which is conveniently located on a small balcony adjacent to the kitchen. A large shopping plaza with a grocery store is a 5-minute drive away. This house is the real deal and gets our top recommendation. We'd love to stay here again!

Beautiful - everything as shown and described

We loved our stay here in Kona. The location is quiet, beautiful and easy to find. The layout is perfect for two couples. All the rooms, including the lanai, are spacious and comfortable for all of us. We used the kitchen and dining table daily and found everything we could ever want to prepare meals and pack for outings. We also appreciated all the beach gear and extra towels provided. Teague responded quickly and positively to any questions we had. We hope to return soon!

Fantastic Place

We highly recommend this place. When we arrived there was a card from Corrie and Teague and a bottle of wine wishing us a good time with our family.. It was well stocked and very clean. It was a short walk to magic sands beach and white sands beach that was fantastic for snorkeling..

Laid back life!

Beautiful property in a quite neighborhood with a complete kitchen, seperate sleeping and baths, beach toys and a lanai in the trees full of tropical sounding birds. Beautiful!

House near beach

We thoroughly enjoyed this house. The house is clean and stocked with everything you need including beach gear. Magic Sands beach is within walking distance. We spent most mornings on the lenai drinking coffee and most evenings there as well. The house was perfect for my husband and I and our three adult daughters. There is no air conditioning but plenty of ceiling fans and floor fans. In addition the doors can be left open with screens shut for a nice cross breeze.

Magic Time at Magic Sands

Can’t say enough good things about both the property and Teague and Corrie’s hospitality. Everything we needed was provided. The location was fantastic and allowed us to explore what the big island has to offer. Our three week stay was filled with comfort and ease. We certainly hope to return to Magic Sands someday soon.

Love this Gem of a "beach house" in Kailua-Kona

Cannot say enough good things about this property. My husband and I had a fabulous stay for our 4 nights in Kona. This home is in an a perfect location - nice neighborhood, quiet and the walk to Magic Sands for sunsets is the cherry on top. Absolutely love that all of the outside walls open up so you have so much air flow and access to the outdoors. The kitchen with coffee maker was clutch. Not to mention the owners have provided you with beach chairs, snorkel equipment and even water shoes :) Very close to the awesome KTA store where we would stop each morning and get some waters, fruit and snacks and be on our way to our adventure that day. This home is comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and lovely. The property owners was so easily accessible and kind. They welcomed us with a note and a bottle of wine. I highly recommend staying at this home!

Great Lanai

To be exceptional it’s in the details and that is how I would describe the Magic Sands Beachhouse. From the moment you walk up the stairs onto the magnificent Lanai to a fully functional chef kitchen the owners thought of or provided everything to make our stay memorable. The space is perfect for two couples or a small family. The location is perfect for visiting the Kailua-Kona area. It is in easy walking distance to the beautiful Magic Sands Beach Park where the swimming is safe and the sand is nice. It is a short drive to the shopping areas or to restaurants along the shore. If you have a rented car it is worth the drive to Hapuna Beach State Park, the beach was the nicest beach for a family. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t cooperative when it came to going to Mauna Kea as it was too cloudy during our stay. A good reason to come back 😄. Thank you for a memorable and wonderful vacation.

Excellent rental, well appointed and fantastic owner response, VERY short walk to great beach!

This rental is a fabulous luxury value! First, the owners are extremely responsive, friendly & truly have thought of everything when equipping this home for rental. Upon arrival, you will note you are about a 4 minute walk from Magic Sands beach. The house, from the exterior is unassuming but certainly in great condition. As you ascend to the lanai you immediately recognize the pictures don't quite do the comfort and size of the lanai justice. Oh, but first you'll see the beach and snorkeling supplies thoughtfully arranged below the lanai for your enjoyment. You'll enter through massive fully retracting sliding doors and feel a great sense of comfort and a touch of homey elegance, high ceilings, beautiful bamboo (?) floors, ceiling soffit lighting, and a nicely equipped kitchen. Teague and Corrie even had a welcome basket with a personalized note, bottle of wine, and snacks and cold beverages in the fridge. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and separated by the main living area of the house. Great arrangement for 2 couples or a family, or a romantic house with just the spouse. I was there with my 14 year old daughter, so we each has our own "wing". All rooms have the retractable sliders with screen doors or wide open & remote shades - very cool! The soft breeze through the house was Hawaii at its fines. I have rented many homes over the years through VRBO and for the money, you get some serious bang out of this one. Some rentals just don't have much of anything in the way of supplies. This has ALL YOU NEED, from the little stuff like paper towels, cleaning spray, coffee filters, spices, and teas to a good size jar of Kona coffee beans to top quality sharp kitchen knives. (seems like most rentals have really dull crappy knives). Plenty of towels,& even good shampoo. although we didn't watch TV or movies, there was a good selection of dvd's (nice taste in movies btw:) and a nice entertainment center. Instructions were simple, everything worked easily and we certainly enjoyed being able to connect to the sound bar via bluetooth. The BBQ grill was darn near brand new and spotless. Grilled up Ahi we caught on a fishing trip! If you are still wondering about an ocean front rental, don't bother. The street that fronts the ocean can be very busy with cars. One block back and we never heard the traffic, but still enjoyed sunsets from the plush comfort of our lanai & could walk down for swim in the ocean at magic before breakfast. Book it Dano!

Would come back in a heart beat

Comfy beds, great showers, beautiful space. Everyone at home seeing my videos of this amazing house wanted the details so they could stay here. My 3 year old son loved this house that he so fondly called the "gecko's house". The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need to cook for a family. Building management response time for anything we needed was prompt and friendly. Teague and Corrie are wonderful hosts! Can't say enough great things about this house. We spent the second half of our vacation at the Hilton and I must say, we miss the comfort of the house. Until next time!

Perfect getaway!

Being from OAHU and KONA, We’ve stayed at numerous VR’s and this by far has been perfect! Nothing was missed! The home has offered everything that we needed and more, and we enjoyed the privacy and location to our purposes for being in Kona. Teague and Corrie were excellent hosts and made us feel welcome with their added touches. We also appreciate the detail of work done to the home and plan to make another visit soon as we travel to KONA often. Much Mahalo Teague and Corrie! We will definitely be booking another stay in your beautiful home again.

Beautiful home!

We had such a great time at this house. Everything we needed was right at hand - including a wonderful lanai that offered stunning sunset views. And the location was perfect. Within walking distance to beaches, and also centrally located on the Kona Coast making it a good base for exploring more of the Big Island. We loved it and will go back!

Great experience

We spent 3 nights at the Magic Sands beach house and we loved it. It was a great layout for 2 couples to share. The location is nicely quiet but close to beaches and downtown. Teague was prompt in answering all of our questions before we arrived and really helped us understand what to expect when we got there. We couldn't have asked for a better experience visiting the big island. Thanks so much for letting us share this home and for providing all the unexpected extras.

A magic house

This place is truly amazing. It is fantastic to have a home base that is so very well equipped. We cooked some great meals courtesy of a wonderfully equipped kitchen, ate regularly on the lanai, took the provided gear and walked to a couple of the local beaches to snorkel and surf, and enjoyed our own coffee man comfortable seating areas, reading and listening to the birds. To top it all off, our hosts were responsive and kind in our interactions. Thanks so much for an amazing trip!

Beautiful Home, great location, many nice details

This is a very special house! It is everything as described: great location, nice amenities, very roomy, wonderful lay out, peaceful neighborhood and a feeling of being outdoors while in comfort indoors. What really sets it above most rentals is all the details. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed preparing meals there and had every kitchen gadget and utensil we needed at our disposal. The bathrooms were well stocked, there were plenty of hangers, a suitcase stand and lots of drawer space. There's books to read and games to play. We appreciated the loaner snorkel gear and boogie boards and having an area to wash them out. The beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean and in perfect repair. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated with original art. In all details it is obvious that great care has been taken. It all felt beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on the Lanai at all times but especially as it rained, which very politely only happened in the evening (photos show a table on the lanai but now it is a comfy couch). The house was so nice and the nearby activities so fun we never did venture very far, no need to. During daylight hours the air is filled with the sounds of tropical birds. We enjoyed walking north to Magic Sands Beach (very close) for swimming, boogie boarding and sunset and south to Kahalu’u Beach (further walk) for surfing, snorkeling and sunsets. The ocean varied quite a bit during the week we were there (end of Dec), some days being pretty dramatic and others very calm. We also enjoyed going into Kona and checking out the live music at Gertrude's and Huggo’s on the Rocks. We felt very fortunate to stay in such a fabulous place and hope to return soon.
