Perfect location

This was a great landing spot for checking out the Boston area. The water view from our rooms was tranquil after a day of adventures. We even spent a day just chilling in the rental.

Boston marathon

Stayed here while visiting during the Boston Marathon. Really enjoyed staying away from all the hussle and bussle of the city but having it be a close commute there. We rented a car and it took us 30ish minutes to get into the city. A wonderfully beautiful stay.

A Week on the Island

You will like this property if you value a nice host, peace and quiet, and gorgeous views, with easy walking distance to the beach and the very good Tides restaurant. The home is comfortable, easy to access, and just as advertised. If you are looking for brand new, high end amenities, you might want to look elsewhere. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again should we return to this area. Thank you Liz and safe travels to all.

Beautiful place with spectacular ocean view

My sister and I enjoyed our stay here! Liz greeted us on arrival and gave us great tips on areas to explore, restaurants to try, and where to pick up groceries. The oceanside sun room was our favorite spot to relax after a day exploring the area. Access the beach was just a walk down the street. Even in late October, we saw surfers and kite surfers on morning and afternoon beach walks. The location is well situated for exploring surrounding areas like Salem, Gloucester, Rockport, etc. We went to Hammond Castle Museum and were pleasantly surprised. Halibut Point State Park is also worth a visit. Good vibes here with plenty to do and see!

Fantastic

We loved the home. Just big enough fornour family of 4 but still plenty of needed space after a very long car ride. Fantastic view from the back bedroom.We were able to meet the owner and she was very engaged in making sure we had everything needed for a great trip. Will definitely recommend any of our friends traveling this direction.

Get ready to relax

Spacious and quiet with oceanfront views from the sitting room and bedroom. Great location close to all the area has to offer and walking distance to the beach.

Beautiful ocean view

My husband, adult daughter and her boyfriend stayed for 4 nights in the property. The home was very clean and there was plenty of space for all of us. The necessary items were provided which was helpful. The beach was just a short walk down the street and the view from the back of the house of the ocean was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful!

This place was a perfect location for us. We did a few day trips north. Gloucester for a Whale Watching trip, Portsmouth, NH for a harbor tour, some great shopping and lunch, as well as a little trip to Marblehead. We Lifted/Ubered into Boston for a conference, as we didn't want to fight the traffic or deal with traffic and was pleasantly surprised of the affordability. We would return to Nahant again! Marblehead too.

Perfect getaway

A gorgeous setting so close to the beach and a quick drive to Salem and ferry to Boston. You couldn’t ask for a better location to just relax and go sightseeing. Host was wonderful , would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Comfortable Stay Close to the Beach

Perfect location near the beach with stunning views. The apartment is comfortable, with well-equipped amenities. Liz was an outstanding host—welcoming and always accessible. We'd rent this place again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful, relaxing getaway!

We have spent 10 days enjoying this lovely beach cottage. Long walks on the beach each morning and evening have given us good exercise and renewed our spirits. The place is exactly as advertised. It is comfortable and well equipped. Liz has been very easy to work with and responsive to our needs. We have already encouraged other friends and family to check it out.!

Beautiful Views and Comfortable Surroundings

This property was amazingly comfortable & so close to many of the sites that Boston & Salem have to offer. I stayed with my husband & 2 children, & there was ample space for all of us. The views were stellar, & we actually saw whales outside our window in the bay…a site we were able to enjoy because the owner was kind enough to let us know when she saw them. Although the listing is accurate in stating that it is oceanfront, I would note that it does not have beach access. It overlooks a rocky area of the bay. That was my misunderstanding, & I probably should have verified beach access ahead of time with the owner. This did not end up being a problem, though, because we could easily walk to access the beach, & it only took about 5 minutes to walk there. There was also ample free parking on the beach just off Nahant in Lynn. The decor was very cute & there were great furnishings throughout the apt. We also had access to a full kitchen & the owner provided some extras that were super helpful throughout our stay. I would note that there is only 1 tv in the apt. If you are like my husband & need background noise from a tv to sleep, I would bring a small tv along with a Roku or similar streaming device to put in the bedroom. Otherwise, plan to sleep on the couch in the living room, which is what my husband ended up doing, & worked just fine for us. WiFi could be a little slow at times as well. All in all, wonderful property with beautiful views & great owner. Highly recommend !

Amazing view and wonderful location

We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our 25th anniversary. The view was spectacular and the neighborhood very peaceful. Convenient for trips into Boston and Salem and beach area a short walk away. Liz was very helpful on tips for getting to Boston and she was very pleasant and responsive if we had questions! Highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment, great location

This is a two bedroom apartment on the top floor, with the owner living underneath. There are no steps to get into the apartment. Great view, although there is no direct beach access. There is a public beach, a few minutes walk away, or you can pay to park if you luck into finding a spot in the beach parking lot. This was the only beach on Nahant that we could access simply because we could not find anywhere to park for the others. The king size bed is very firm, and wonderfully situated to look out a wall of windows. There is no central air conditioning, but we definitely didn’t need it thanks to ceiling fans, open windows, and an oscillating fan for the very hot day. This apartment is beautifully decorated. Be sure to bring your toiletries, coffee, and any condiments that you may need as there are virtually none supplied. I don’t say this in a bad way, just that each home we have stayed at over the years varies greatly in what is provided. The area is much bigger than we expected, filled with a lot of beautiful houses. We highly recommend Tides restaurant, which is just down the street. While it may seem as though you are farther away from many restaurants, we were able to have delivery often. We really enjoyed Alfredo’s for Italian, but be prepared for humongous portions! The owner was fantastic, communicated regularly, and was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived.

A Boston Dream

If I ever relocated to Boston, I’d ask Liz if I could rent this place! Charming, beautiful, & peaceful. It helped me relax after the stresses of traveling & navigating Boston Marathon weekend. Nahant is a lovely town for shakeout runs, walks, & ocean views. A colonial feel. Highly recommend booking this place. For my fellow Boston runners & for those with events going on in Boston: Nahant is conveniently located 12 minutes from the Wonderland subway station parking garage ($2 per day with PayByPhone app). I bought a 7 day link pass ($22.50 for unlimited rides for 7 days) & rode the Blue Line to Government Center where I got on the Green Line. For the Expo: get off at Hynes Convention Center for race morning: gear check & busses, get off at Arlington. No need to stay in the hustle & bustle downtown, the Boston subway system is awesome & this beautiful property in Nahant is so close to Wonderland station! As much as I enjoyed the race, a wonderful memory of my time in Boston is this truly spectacular property in Nahant. Liz is a wonderful host, just a quick phone call or text away if you have questions or need anything.

Affordable shore stay

We enjoyed our time here. This is the upper flat of a house. Parking is next to the garage, just off the street. The unit is accessed by walking through the garage & across a well-kept deck walk to the rear of the unit. The space is clean and decorations are well-placed and tasteful. The small but sunny kitchen is at the rear of the unit. A living room, bathroom, and bedroom all take up the middle. The front of the unit is a large bedroom and the enclosed front sunroom is accessed by walking through that large bedroom. The sunroom faces Nahant Bay, and the city of Lynn on the far shore. (Note, the view is across a bay, not of the open ocean.) The house is located on Nahant, essentially an island accessed by the causeway from Lynn. The island is pretty to drive - though no visitor parking for shore access. The beach on the causeway is very easily accessed with public parking. Getting to Nahant and this unit was a bit challenging as the city of Lynn is a navigating challenge. There were very few amenities in Lynn - had to drive a bit for good coffee & a nice grocery store. However, Salem & Boston were very quick drives. The owner (who lives downstairs) met us to greet us and show us how to access the unit. Communications throughout the stay were very good. This is a charming rental in an older house with character - don’t expect brand-new. Nahant is charming despite a bit of a challenge to access. Sunrise & sunset in the sunroom were worth the stay.
