We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything about the listing was accurate. The host is easy to communicate with, offered a smooth check-in and nearby secured parking. The location offers plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance and is reasonable drive to many vineyards and chateaus. We would stay here again. Thank you!

We really loved the location. The apartment is so close to the river and so close to the heart of town, and yet so quiet, with a beautiful courtyard and outdoor sitting area. We had another wonderful stay here! Highly recommended!

Super clean, large, beautiful suite. Locked courtyard, private parking area. Excellent location. So close to excellent restaurants (recommend L’etable). Definitely recommend. Would have given 6/5 stars!

Beautiful

This is indeed a very luxury and lovely apartment. Although situated at the centre of the old town, it is a tranquil place. We could do everything by foot in Tours and had a great holiday!

Beautiful area of France. Great restaurants within walking distance.No air conditioning or fans, in a heat wave was not comfortable.

Very nice stay in Tours

Everything is there! Very good double bed, well equiped kitchen and a fantastic bathroom. Only thing that could be improved, two comfortable easy chairs (feauteuils) in stead of the bed couch.

Host met us and explained how to use all the European appliances and electronics. The manual concerning the property is clear and concise with excellent referrals to restaurants, taxis, grocery stores and points of interests. The property is very clean and comfortable. The photos of the property are very accurate. Our only challenge was the use of the rainfall shower. Overall, this is an excellent property which made for an excellent stay in Tours.

Loved apartment

This historic apartment is minutes away from restaurants and bars. No need to use the car to explore Tours. Further afield,Villandry Chateau is a must. The gardens are beautiful. The small town of Amboise is also worth a vist. We loved the Chateau of Chambord.

Beautiful, and great location

This apartment is a hidden gem. It is well located within the center of town, so close to the restaurant's, walking distance to the railway station, and the parking makes it the ideal location to explore the region around tours. We stayed for several nights, and it was the perfect base to return to. The design of the apartment is idyllic. Nothing better than sitting outside, enjoying the fading sun with a glass of the local wine.

Lovely and Unique Apartment

The apartment is in a very good location and the decor is amazing. Clean, bright, quiet, and all appliances worked well (especially nice to have a new washer/tumble dryer). Good communication with Jean-Phillipe. Very happy with our choice of this apartment.

A Very Pleasant Surprise!

After a long and tiring day of travel, arriving at Les Jardine Des Amandiers was a wonderful and pleasant surprise. Jean-Philippe was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. The apartment had everything you could possibly need to ensure your stay was comfortable and the location very convenient. It was also a very beautiful apartment!

Fantastic

The apartment was amazing - beautifully appointed, clean and well-equipped for an extended stay. Location is excellent. In the heart of the old town, half a block to the Loire River, shops and cafes. 10 minute walk to Gare de Tours as a great hub to explore the Loire Valley by train. Host was excellent; great communication from start to finish, friendly and helpful. I will definitely look to stay here again if/when I return to lovely Tours. Thank you Jean-Philippe and Marine!

Stylish apartment in a prime location.

Well equipped modern apartment in a 14th century building, a bit of a paradox but it works beautifully. The apartment is in a secluded courtyard with gated access and has its own allocated parking space in a nearby parking lot. The old quarter of Tours is literally just around the corner and the Loire is a two minute stroll. A perfect base for exploring Tours and its surrounding area at a very reasonable price.

On our arrival our host Jean-Philippe met us with a warm welcome. Patiently he made sure that we were well informed about the operation of the modern appliances with which the apartment is well equipped. Located in an interesting part of Tours close to the cathedral and many restaurants, the apartment provides a tranquil secure haven near the Loire River. Jean-Philippe has created a special environment and is clearly keen for his guests to enjoy it. We stayed for one week and loved every moment in the apartment and in Tours.

Lovely in all respects!

This is indeed a luxury property less than one minute walk to the best restaurant street in Tours. The apartment was a total rebuild of an old stone structure and has many designer touches. The large projection TV is situated for viewing from the king size bed. Parking is at a lot less than one minute walk away. The Loire River is 3 minutes away on foot. You can easily walk to the riverside restaurants during the warm months. Ten foot plus ceilings and highest quality appliances. You will enjoy your stay at this property. Very well situated for drives to many of the Loire Chateaux.

Great location and parking

We loved the location and the free secure parking. There were a few negatives. One was that the website claims air conditioning and there is none. There are many sharp corners on the dining table, the coffee table and the bed. The shower results in a lot of water that you must mop up each time you shower. There are little steps up to the bed and then to the bathroom that are a concern in the middle of the night. The property manager was great but we will not return,

Thank you for your message. I'm sorry you weren't entirely satisfied with your stay. If the "air conditioning" option is indicated on the website, it's because the apartment is naturally air-conditioned thanks to the thickness of its walls. The temperature inside is always pleasant, even in summer, with a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius when it's 40 degrees outside. There's also a forced-air ventilation system to renew the indoor air. The furniture is solid wood, which is perhaps why it doesn't move easily...

appartement très joli et chic!

Désolé, la majeure partie sera en anglais. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cet appartement. I was sorry not to meet Jean-Philippe in person but we communicated a lot through VRBO. He was very kind about making alternative arrangements for a friend of his to let us into the apartment when our arrival was earlier than his availability. The shower and tub are super cool (and the hot water was delightfully hot, which was great after a rainy, cold day) but definitely takes getting used to in order to get the water to drain properly. We had to help paddle the water into the drain a bit, but it was worth it. We so enjoyed going to Les Halles and cooking at the apartment and had fun watching a DVD on the surround sound big screen during a rainy day. We enjoyed using this lovely location as our home base as we toured the Loire Valley.

The perfect apartment in Tours

Jean-Philippe the owner met me upon my arrival and showed me everything I needed to know about the apartment. It was super clean with lovely appointments, furniture, towels. Kitchen appliances etc. As I was in Tours for a French language course, I spent more time in the apartment than the average tourist. I also did not have a car but there is private parking….a luxury in Tours. The neighborhood is very convenient, close to a Carrefour for groceries, lots of restaurants and everything in the center of Tours. There is a lovely garden but the weather did not cooperate so I did not use it. Now for some of the criticisms of other guests. First the shower. It is true that if you are not careful the floor can get soaked by the rain shower, but I managed to use the shower curtain in such a way that the floor stayed dry. The owner also provides a very easy to use mop if necessary. Others complained about sharp edges on some of the furniture. That was true as well especially if you have young children staying but for me, I was just careful and when I went to sleep I moved the coffee table (it’s on wheels) so that I wouldn’t walk into it during the night. There is plenty of space for clothes and there is a very large bathroom, unusual in France. I would highly recommend the apartment for either a person traveling alone or a couple. If I return to Tours, I will definitely rent the apartment again. Myra USA

Merci Jean-Philippe ! La localisation et le produit correspondaient exactement à ce que nous voulions. La propriété était propre. L'accueil ainsi que les informations fournis à notre arrivée par Marine ont été bien appréciés. Le bonus d'avoir un stationnement privé était vraiment bien car ce n'est pas si facile de trouver du stationnement dans les environs; c'était parfait !

An Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Tours Our stay at Le Jardin Des Amandiers was absolutely wonderful! The apartment was even more beautiful than the photos—clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and with the added bonus of free parking.We especially loved the private garden, perfect for morning coffee and relaxing, and the convenience of being on the ground floor after long days exploring.The location was ideal—just steps from great restaurants and bars on Rue de Colbert, shopping on Rue Nationale, and many of Tours’ historic sites. We were able to walk everywhere and fully enjoy the city.What truly made our stay special was the hospitality. The owner, Jean-Philippe, was always responsive and helpful from the start answering all our questions.We are especially grateful to our host Marine, the owner’s goddaughter, who greeted us upon arrival and went above and beyond when we shared my serious ankle injury previously experienced in Bordeaux. She kindly helped us arrange a doctor’s visit at urgent care, and her kindness meant so much during a stressful time.We highly recommend Le Jardin Des Amandiers—a beautiful apartment, perfect location, lovely garden, and truly caring hosts. We would absolutely return!

We had a wonderful stay for six nights. The apartment is exceptional in every way. The location is perfect with many restaurants with atmosphere very close by. The cathedral and Museum of Beaux Arts just a few minutes walk.Any questions we had were answered immediately by Marine. The outside seating is very private and comfortable. Absolutely lovely

Such a nice apartment with a beautiful courtyard. The location is absolutely perfect. It's less than 1/2 a block to Rue Colbert and all the great restaurants that street offers, about 1 block to the river, a few blocks to the cathedral, etc., etc. Close to everything, yet tucked away in a very quiet and pretty courtyard.

Nous avons passé 4 jours en juin 2026 à moto. Nous avons adoré notre séjour, l emplacement de la location idéale dans Tours, très calme et a 2 pas de la rue Colbert, bien animée, proche du vieux Tour et de la Loire. Un lieu idéal pour visiter les châteaux. L hote à été très à l écoute, et l apparemment très confortable. Nous recommandons.

The apartment was very clean and is well situated near Rue Colbert and all the good restaurants. The owner has it well furnished with most everything a person would need. He thoughtfully provided coffee beans for the Jura coffee maker and even left us some fruit. Although we did not really cook there, plenty of cookware, plates and utensils were available. We did have a small issue which was quickly fixed. I found the owner quite responsive.
