Everything was awesome. The views.the quiet location, and being able to walk out the patio doors on the ground floor was super handy for grilling, swimming and Everything!!! Would definitely stay here again!

This is my 12th or 15th time staying in this unit. Perfect for us and my favorite unit at Whalers!! Management is awesome too.

Love this unit

Have stayed in this unit 3 or 4 times. Best unit on the property. In the back so it’s very quiet. Love this unit!!!!!

Very convenient location, able to walk to a lot of dining choices and shopping. The only negative of the unit we stayed in was the sleeper sofa was in bad shape - squeaked and we couldn't close it so had to call the property management company to help - it took them 30 plus minutes to get it closed. Not really useable for another bed.

Overall a good property

The location of this property and the amenities were good. The property was nice for the most part. The only source of major displeasure was the sofa bed. It’s probably fine for small kiddos but the mattress is too worn out for an adult. I constantly found myself pressed up against the metal bars underneath and had several crummy nights sleep, waking up with sore spots. It should really be replaced.

Great location!

Wonderful property, would definitely stay again! The sofa bed is fine for children, but not amazing for adults.

Perfect location

What a treat it was to get away and enjoy Hawaii! I feel like this place has all the best that Maui offers. You can walk to the beach, no elevators necessary. But you can also enjoy the tropical flowers from the lanai. The bed was comfy, the place was clean. We would return every year if we could. Thank you!!

Great for young kids

Great place to stay particularly with your kids as they can walk right out and enjoy the yard. Had a couple minor hiccups on the first day with maintenance but everything was address promptly and the team is so kind and helpful.

Perfect location, beautiful beach, spacious room

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The room was comfortable and spacious. The laundry and 2 full bathrooms, and ample free parking were convenient. The pool, chairs and hot tub were great for when you needed a break from the beautiful beach. This property is conveniently located next to a shopping plaza which we visited daily for coffee and an acai bowl and dinner. It’s along a beautiful path to other resorts which we ran in the morning and walked throughout the day. The whaler was quiet at night and we loved the lanai was perfect for playing cards and hanging out. We truly felt like we were home (we wish it was!) and it was a perfect week!

Home away from home

Wonderfully relaxing stay at this location. This was our first family vacation since the COVID pandemic started and felt completely safe during our stay. The unit was clean on our arrival as was the overall Whaler property. Masks were required in all enclosed locations (e.g. hallways, elevators, gym, etc.). There were less crowds on property since it isn’t a hotel, which is why we chose this location, along with the kitchen and laundry in unit. Staying in a first floor unit also great as it was a very short 1 minute walk to the beach and having an outdoor lanai was awesome for eating outdoors and having our daughter (6 y.o.) play outside where we can still keep an eye on her. During our 10 day stay we opted for eating in and cooking our meals, so kitchen was key to our stay. This would be the only critique we have about the unit. There were only two pans, which seemed quite used/old. Most of what we cooked would stick to the pans. There were other pots, bakeware, and roaster that we made use of, but we did have to get creative with the cookware that was available. Overall though, the kitchen was completely adequate for our needs. We had a wonderful vacation and staying in this unit and overall property was definitely part of the reason. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the Whaler, the family who owns the unit and the property manager for having us!

Simply awesome

This place is a 10 out of 10. Will stay here again in a heartbeat. Next time will take advantage of the mid week cleaning because we seem to bring in sand quite a bit. If I had to comment on anything which was not perfect it is only that the room safe is too small for a laptop. Overall we especially loved the grassy area by patio which helped the kids explore and spent no time waiting for the elevator.

Fantastic Condo

The condo was excellent in location, value, cleanliness. One small issue with guest shower which was fixed immediately. Maui Resort Rentals was VERY accommodating. I would definitely book again.

Fantastic location and condo!

Overall great condo. Ground unit was perfect with beautiful views and easy access to the beach. Excellent accommodations however I would not recommend more than 2 guests. Living room pull out bed was not optimal for sleeping. On-site amenities and staff were amazing. Property management was excellent to work with. I highly recommend this property!

Maui was closed

Great property. Unfortunately Hawaii closed due to Covid. We had to leave after 2 days before they closed the Airlines. Checked out early without receiving any credit for early departure.

Wonderful condo, great location! Would stay here again!

Can't beat this location on Kaanapali Beach so close to the Whaler's Village shops and excellent restaurants. The pool and hot tub overlooking the ocean were great and we enjoyed the bbq's and fire picnic table in the evenings. We would definitely stay in this condo again!

Stay over Christmas week

The location of this property is ideal. We loved being located on the ground floor with a beautiful lawn as an extension to our unit. Check in and parking were both easy. A few cautionary tips/recommendations...the construction on the neighboring resort is major. I had requested information about the extent of the construction from the property managers many times over the course of several weeks and it was inaccurate. Major jackhammering, large caterpillar tractors, crew, etc that started at 8am and lasted throughout the day. From the unit, the noise is extremely disruptive. The management company were kind polite people but not very responsive. We had made a request for a rollaway weeks before our stay which was not in the unit when we arrived. I contacted the front desk who was not willing to assist as this property is owner managed through an agency. It took a day & a half to receive the rollaway. The pullout sofa bed is fine as a couch but NOT for sleeping. The mattress/frame is old and not supportive and would NOT be adequate for adults. In addition, please supply cleaning products and a broom. It would have been nice to clean kitchen & bathroom surfaces during our week stay. I wanted to sweep the unit & patio. There was not 1 cleaning product available and no soap in the bathrooms. We had to make a trip to the market prior to showering. I would absolutely recommend this unit, we did have a good stay but I would be hesitant to return until the completion of the construction.

We are glad that you found this property to have an ideal location, but we do apologize for any inconvenience related to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel construction next door. The extent of the project had originally been hard to pinpoint because the Kaanapali Beach Hotel ended up with a much more extensive project than they had originally planned. Unfortunately, it does sound like your stay occurred during some of the heaviest impact. Our sincerest apologies for that. Our most recent correspondence from the Kaanapali Beach Hotel indicates that the work should be winding down in April of 2021. We are happy to say that the owners are replacing the sofa-sleeper with a comfy brand new one to be delivered on 4/2/2021. We will also be sure to look into why your rollaway was not in your unit upon arrival. It is true that we had been operating with a reduced staff due to COVID-19, but we realize that is no excuse so our sincerest apologies for the delay in delivering it to you.
