The first night was terrible! In one of the upstairs bathrooms, shower handle blew off. As a result, water went everywhere! Contacted the host via cell, to confirm where the water shut-off valve was located. The host initially tried to explain where it was it was located in the yard. However, the shut-off valve was not visible. Then host came over, and he was unable to locate the shut-off valve either. The fire department located the valve, and turn off the water. It was buried under the dirt. Now you have the situation, and here is why I am disappointed. The host straight out accusations - we purposely caused this situation to occur. The plumber came to fix the shower the next day. The new shower handle was installed wrong. The shower was missing the cartridge, which sits behind the shower plate in the wall. The plumber checked the other bathroom showers, and a second bathroom shower handle was installed wrong as well. No cartridge! The upstairs needs a deep cleaning and basic repairs to things like installing toilet paper holders, and fixing the vents. Lucky, I always buy the rental insurance, to which in 16-years of renting properties, it has not been used for repairs in someones home.In this case, it should be the owners responsibility to pay for theses repairs. It would be a common courtesy for the host to at least refund the first night and apologized for the false accusations. I am thankful, my grandson was not standing in the shower when the handle blew off.
