We had booked this condo from the evening of the 17th through Saturday morning and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.Check-in was listed as 4:00 PM, but we did not receive any check-in instructions in advance. By nearly 7:00 PM, after not hearing anything, I had to reach out to the owner to request the information on how to enter the condo. The instructions were only sent after I contacted them, which made arrival unnecessarily stressful.Though not receiving any check-in information was a poor way to welcome guest, it ultimately was not reason we didn’t get in. Earlier that day, Route 395 near Bishop was closed due to the storm earlier in the day, making it physically impossible for us to arrive anywhere near the 4:00 PM check-in time. Despite explaining the situation and requesting consideration for the missed night, the owner would not acknowledge or discuss any form of refund or accommodation…As in, I reached out and left two different text messages on the VRBO app and neither were responded to. The condo itself was acceptable but not particularly clean. It was not filthy, but it did not feel thoroughly cleaned either.Additionally:•There were no fire-starting supplies inside the unit.•The balcony (including the snow shovel) was completely covered in snow. The only way to access the shovel was to open the sliding door and allow snow to blow inside.•The heating system is extremely slow to warm the unit (as noted in the manual), making a fireplace
