This is a nice 2 bdrm condo on the second floor with 2 showers, wall AC unit in each bedroom and another large unit for the kitchen/living room. There is a balcony to enjoy breakfast with a view of the marina. The location is excellent with a short walk to the beach in one direction and to downtown restaurants in another direction. Lowes is a quaint quiet enjoyable beach town. There are many restaurants with excellent seafood options within walking distance or a short drive.

Great location, very short walk to all the restaurants and shops and about a mile to the beach. The unit smelled a little musty, but that can be expected for an aged beach property. It’s not mentioned in the posting that renters need to provide their own linens and toiletries. We found this out just days before our stay and had traveled from the west coast.

Comfortable condo with great view

This condo is comfortable, nicely decorated, stocked with all the essentials, clean, and has an awesome canal view. We enjoyed all the biking trails in the state park, plus being able to walk to the beach, restaurants, and downtown Lewes. Robin is a very accommodating host.

Great View

Robin was a great help with check in. Great atmosphere. Room on small side, but had everything we needed. Nice pool. Restaurants nearby. Town pretty much shuts down at 9:00pm. Payed to park at beach, as it was several blocks to beach. Nice stay.

Balcony was cozy and private. View was so beautiful. Location was perfect for walking to the town, restaurants or the beach. The pool was fun too.

Well appointed but small

When I was presented with a packing list, I was a little worried. Had I wanted to bring the whole household with me, I would have gone camping. We did need the linens, but everything else was at the condo. The only other VRBO I've done was in Maui, so bringing household items isn't practical. I guess normally, they're expected. I didn't plan to cook anything, but we did end up making breakfast. Condo had adequate kitchen amenities including non stick pans, toaster, can opener, microwave, ice maker, sufficient prep items, and full service for 8, plus kids plasticware. Previous guests left coffee, S&P, and a few other staples which we did not use. LR and kitchen are very small, but enough room for 3 of us and a baby. Sofa and 2 chairs in the LR, dining table large enough to seat a snug 8. BRs are decent size, and master also easily fit a pack & play. Nice balcony with table and 4 chairs, 4 other chairs and a kid's chair all fit, with a nice view of the canal and marina. Irish Eyes is right next door, and another restaurant at the southern end of the marina. Beach is far more than 2 city blocks away, but I know the area and knew this; you'll want to drive there. We planned to, but did not use the pool. Condo is on the "other" side the canal, so shopping, etc. while is certainly walking distance, you'll probably want to drive. Owner was friendly and called us when the condo was ready. Well worth the asking price for the stay itself, but VRBO fees are excessive, especially for just a weekend, and added a significant amount to the total. Ours was a 2nd floor unit, definitely not ADA accessible; no elevator. Wifi was fast, and there were TVs but we didn't even turn them on. Property is aged but well maintained. I would recommend this unit to a friend.

Lewes waterfront condo

Location is great, exterior just updated, nice private deck, primary bedroom is a little tight but was quiet.

Convenient to all the fun Lewes offers

My family has been returning to the Rehoboth and Lewes area for 6 summers. Our boys, now almost 8, love Funland, the bay beach in Lewes, walking to get ice cream, and a stop in the toy store. This condo is a great “home base” for everything in Lewes. The 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, balcony, access to coin laundry, and a pool provided everything that we needed. The wilder fun of the Rehoboth boardwalk is only a short drive away. We also enjoyed nearby mini golf and a little shopping in the outlets.

Clean and Bright with a Lovely View

Communication with the property manager was a breeze. Found her to be polite, proactive, and responsive. A pleasure to work with. We originally booked the unit listed, but were moved to unit next door. The unit we stayed at is clean, modern, and bright. We were told it was an upgrade from the original unit. I believe it. The balcony view is top notch - sunsets, sunrises, ships coming and going, and even dolphin swimming by. Downtown Lewes is easily accessible - a walk across the bridge or a quick drive. The beach is also walkable - though “two blocks” is a bit deceiving. It’s about a ten minute walk. For us, it worked out perfectly. Our two year old had all the space she needed. And we were very comfortable! Small kitchen accommodated us well and we used it often. A larger family with older kids might find it a little tight, however. We often travel with my wife’s sister and brother-in-law, and I think the common space would have been a little restricting. But... there’s plenty to do outside!

Beautiful location!

Lewes Harbor, beaches, town, restaurants, and recreational spots are all within easy walking or biking distance. The unit is cozy with newly updated appliances. Great view of the harbor. Quiet location. Property manager is top notch and helps make the stay memorable!

Family Fun

Our family(myself, my husband, my mother and our two children ages 9&12) were lucky enough to spend 3 weeks here. This adorable condo had everything we needed. It was well-equiped, clean and in a wonderful location. The common areas(pool & laundry) were clean and well maintained. This condo offers plenty of parking in a quiet and safe area. The best part is location. Within walking distance there are numerous restaurants, shops, museums, and historic dist. The beach is only a few blocks away, and if you are looking for larger waves, Cape Henlopen State Park isa 5 min drive. If fishing is on your to do list, there are several options literally right outside your window.If sitting on the balconey sipping a drink and enjoying sunsets is you idea ofa perfect vacation, this cond offers amazing views. Lewes and surroubding areas offer something for everyone. We would recommend this condo to anyone looking to have a wonderful time down the shore!

A Relaxing Getaway for a Family of Four

This was a wonderful weekend getaway for our family. The property was clean and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved being right on the inner waterway and watching all the boats coming and going. We will definitely plan on staying here the next time we are traveling to the Lewes area and we would recommend this property to others.

Great home base from which to explove southern DE

Just back from a fantastic week in Lewes DE. This 650 sq ft condo with two bedrooms and two baths, fully equiped kitchen, living room and great balcony overlooking the canal was perfect! I was traveling alone, but, it would also be great for two friends traveling together and wanting seperate bedrooms and baths or a couple with a child looking for a place to call home for a week. I much prefer this to a B&B because it is less exensive, much more space and cost me just $75 worth of groceries for the week instead of the cost of eating out all of the time. You are 5 minutes walk to the beach in one direction and 5 minutes walk to downtown Lewes in the other direction. I actually clocked 50 miles on my pedometer during the week because the area is great for walking. Trips twice a day to the beach to look for shells and I even found artifacts of a 1798 shipwreck that was discovered in 2005. People at the Zwannendael Museum in town told me about finding the shipwreck in 2005 near the Roosevelt inlet and showed me samples of what to look for as I walked from Lewes Bay toward the Roosevelt inlet. I found three pieces of 200 yr old German blue-gray stoneware each about the size of a quarter! You are less than 2 miles from Cape Henlopen and the ocean. On my first visit to the park I saw dolphins swimming about 50 yards off shore. On my next visit I took advantage of the park's free bike loaner program to bicycle though the park. This condo is such a central location to everything! Even on a rainy day it is just pleasent to sit out on the balcony to enjoy the boats and harbor lights. I liked the second floor condo, but, be aware there are steps to get your things up to the second floor. Two smaller suitcases would be a better choice than trying to carry one large suitcase up the stairs. If you want a central location and place to call home for a week and not just a room and living out of a suitcase for a week - this is the place to rent. This is a great choice any time of the year, not just in the summer.

Lewes Getaway !

The owners were very responsive and friendly. The location was ideal, able to walk to/from downtown Lewes, 5 minutes drive from Cape Henlopen State Park and close to other beaches and shopping if desired. The sunset view from the balcony was superb, often accompanied by the sight of great blue herons flying past and little green herons landing on the pier below. The lockbox on the door for the key was very convenient. The property was clean and had everything needed to relax including kitchen stocked with dishes and pans, 2 full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and wireless internet. On the 3rd floor, so be prepared for steps, but the breezes were well worth it. Would definitely recommend to friends.
