 Beliggende i et roligt hjørne af Taos, en 10 minutters gåtur fra gallerier, spisesteder, shopping, levende musik og den historiske plaza, er Casa Encantada # 3's beliggenhed langs en smuk træbelagt gade betragtes som en af de mest ønskelige. Beliggende på hvad der var oprindeligt Pueblo land, er denne tidlige 1900s familieforbindelse blevet omdannet til en charmerende, intim samling af individuelt ejede casitas. Det er den perfekte flugt for venner, par og små familier.
Casa Encantada er en klassisk adobeforbindelse, og vores casita tilbyder et stilfuldt kunstfyldt rum. Vi har samlet møbler, tekstiler og artefakter fra vores rejser og stolt viser kunst fra vores familiesamling. Casita sover 2-4 personer komfortabelt med en dronning seng inklusive en nyopkøbt Serta madras (hybrid skum / forår) og en amerikansk læder dronning sovesofa (Tempurpedic madras) til overløb. Vi tilbyder en familievenlig enhed og tillader børn i alle aldre. Vi er også seriøse hundelskere og forstår glæden ved at rejse sammen med din ledsager.
Gæsterne vil nyde vores casitas autentiske kiva brændeovn. Du vil også finde to private udendørs områder, for og bag. Den forreste gårdsplads er perfekt til en stille morgenmad eller aften happy hour. Bagsiden gårdhave giver et aflukket rum til at suge i boblebadet og se stjernerne om natten. Yderligere faciliteter omfatter en ny vaskemaskine og tørretumbler, et fuldt udstyret køkken, Smart TV og højhastigheds internet. I tillæg til casitas nærhed til byen ligger lige rundt om hjørnet El Monte Sagrado. Dette 5-stjernede feriested tilbyder et vidunderligt sted for fine eller afslappede spisesteder. En fantastisk bar. Totally quiet yet walking distance to town, the casita was immaculate and nicely furnished, with enclosed front courtyard and back patio outfitted with a hot tub! Even though the unit was a studio it felt spacious, with a well appointed kitchen, full bathroom, private bedroom area and living area with sofa and tv. Our only issues were that we couldn't get the kiva fireplace to vent properly (set off smoke detectors twice!) and ultimately gave up trying. The bathroom sink also didn't drain properly. Both easy fixes. All in all, 5 stars across the board including an outstanding management company. Thanks so much.

Nice location, some exceptions

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The casita had a lovely location, quiet and private. It was well appointed with equipment and amount of furniture, but my problem was with the bed. The first night, my husband and I rolled to the center. We are neither one exceptionally large people and have not had this problem in other rooms. When we removed the 4 inch mattress pad the next night to try and improve sleeping, we found dried blood on the mattress--pretty gross. Furniture surfaces were mostly hard, no really comfortable lounging, inside or out. I enjoy taking a cup of coffee out to the patio and reading. No really good place to do that. The place was clean, other than aforementioned mattress, and roomy enough for 2, but I wouldn't have wanted to accommodate more than that for anything but sleeping. We only spoke to management twice and she was very nice, though we couldn't find her when we checked out and left the key under the mat. Most storage was in use for supplies, not much room for our stuff. That said, we would stay here again if we were assured a new mattress had been placed and some softer chairs were provided. If you are a big reader, bring your own book light unless you plan to read in bed or like to sit outside, as lighting is not conducive for long sessions of reading. I would recommend this place with the above reservations.

Enchanting

The cottage, the neighborhood, hot tub and beautiful grounds took us away from the stress of our busy lives while at the same time all conveniences were nearby. I see this place as a wonderful escape to return to over and over.

Lovely Retreat within Walking Distance to Downtown

My daughter and I (and our pup) enjoyed our three day girl’s get away to Taos. Lola is a very responsive and kind host. The house was clean and cheery and the landscaping and flowers beautiful. We loved having breakfast on the front porch and watching all the beautiful birds. Overall a lovely place to stay in Taos.

Great cabin -

This little VRBO cabin is wonderful! All the necessities in a small space - but let’s face it, only sleeping with the great outdoors and all the beauty of he area- what more do you need. The only negative and why I can’t give the full 5 stars- The hot tub (which was the #1 reason we wanted this place) never heated above 85..... meaning, our muscles from all day on the slopes- never got the relief we had hoped for😜. For sure, other accommodates at the local fitness club were offered - but again, that was not really what we wanted. We will rent again- and hope for a better hot tub experience next time- otherwise PERfeCt place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed for 3 nights - first visit to Taos. Lovely small unit, most suitable for one person. My only concern is that the property manager never made contact with me the entire time. I reached out to her later than directed (4pm when I arrived instead of by 12noon - I had no cell reception during my travel) and so never met her and never received a key to the unit. It was unlocked when I arrived. I tried to reach out again and never received any call or text. I was somewhat disturbed that I couldn't lock the unit each day, but had no other choice than to go about my day and hope everything would be there when I got home -- not good. No contact on my departure either, so I had to leave the unit unlocked. You might also want to mention that the unit doesn't have a hair dryer in its stock. Thank goodness I had brought one for other parts of my travels. Also worth mentioning that it IS a walkable distance into downtown Taos -- daytime. After dark, bring a flashlight. Other than that, lovely little casita. Just the right intro to Taos.

Christmas Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay in Taos every Christmas and rented this unit last minute because the home we usually rent was sold. There were four of us (two adults and two kids) this unit is best for two people. The fold out couch was very comfortable unlike most and was great for the kids. The radiant heat is great and the unit stays the perfect temp. The kitchen was great and stocked well, perfect for cooking for two. It's too tight for four and there is not room at the small table for more than two. It's a great place to stay for two people but I would not recommend it for more. It's a classic Taos condo and I would stay there again. The bathroom sink did not drain well but that is an easy fix and the door was very difficult to lock and should be addressed. If you are staying in Taos for a few days this is a great place to stay over a hotel. I would stay there again.

The well designed casas have been inspired by the town's heritage and are surrounded by beautiful well maintained gardens. They are situated in a quiet street and the surrounding tall trees attract lots of bird life. #3 is well presented with lots of art and I found it to be inviting, clean and comfortable. As a solo traveller without a car I really appreciated the casa's proximity to the plaza's shops and galleries and other historic sites nearby. The kitchen was equipped with essential items and I enjoyed lots of home cooked meals. My neighbours were very friendly and helpful, one even lending me an umbrella for the duration of my stay and another helping me with items which needed to be recycled as there are no bins on site for this. I found Premiere Properties to be extremely efficient and helpful. They answered all of my enquiries by email and being able to pay in two instalments suited me. This was my third visit to New Mexico and I would like to return to Casa Encantada in the future to spend further time in Taos as it is a magical place which has captured my heart.

So-so Rental Property

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was in a nice location just outside of Taos. It was a casita within a group of private and rental properties in a wooded location. The front and back exterior patios were OK, but needed weeding and some TLC. The hot tub on the back patio was super! As to the interior, storage was lacking, particularly in the bathroom. The kitchen appliances were very nice. The furniture and bed were adequate. However, there was no air circulation because there was no ceiling fan, the front and back doors were not screened, and the single small window in the living area was broken (would not stay open). Yes one could prop that window open with a piece of firewood, and we did. Yet on the 94 degree days we encountered this was insufficient. Finally, the lock system on the front door was a problem. Following the directions provded by the management, one would usually be successful. However on four occasions during our 6 night stay, the latch would freeze in the locked position. It took a few to many tries to unfreeze it. My calls to management resulted in my being told I tried to open it improperly, when in fact I followed their printed directions.

We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor seating/eating areas. The home is beautifully furnished and the bed is very comfortable. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed as far as dishes and cookware. We will definitely be coming back and staying here again!

Amazing first time in Taos!

Rental was clean, looked just like the pictures and had everything I needed to make some small meals and relax. Had a wonderful massage at Sage Water by Reese, and hiking in the mountains was amazing. Shrimp tacos at Orlando's were so good I had to go back a second night. Everyone I met was very friendly and made me feel at ease there right away. Can't wait to return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The hot tub was great, the WiFi password is wrong and we couldn’t get help ithout having to have someone come early in the morning. The Roku tv is useless unless you have Netflix or Hulu. Location was fine, but the front door doesn’t lock even when you know how to use this type of door lock. There wasn’t any trash bags and dryer sheets box was empty. Bath towels could use updating.

Great space for 2

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife, I and two dogs rented this efficiency for 3 nights in Taos. The studio is well equipped and more than met our needs. It is located a little far from Taos to walk but free parking is available nearer town.

In 2015 we were so fortunate to purchase our first home in Taos, an area that holds special meaning to us. We moved here from Washington D.C. in 2009 as a young couple, we became engaged and were married on the Taos Mesa in 2011. Although our careers eventually brought us to Denver CO, we consider Taos our first true home together. Our beloved casita allows us to visit Taos often to appreciate the charm of this historic town and to enjoy the beauty of Northern New Mexico, a landscape unlike any other. We are thrilled to be able to share our home, and our love for the area, with each of our guests throughout the seasons.

Taos is like nowhere else. The diversity of cultures, intertwined and thriving. The scenic beauty, from the high desert to the alpine ski valley. The stunning Rio Grande Gorge. And the historic Taos Pueblo. Painters the world over travel to experience the famous "Taos light", finding inspiration from this charming art colony. You'll want to return over and over again to soak up the vibe still in the air from The Summer of Love. And we haven't even mentioned the outdoor activities! During our diligent search for the perfect property in Taos, we found nothing that could compare to this casita at Casa Encantada!

Our casita is built on what was originally historic pueblo lands. Over a hundred years ago, the property became a family compound which included a chapel, stables and various living quarters. Recognizing the beauty and location value, developers purchased the compound in 2005. Casa Encantada evolved into what it is today- authentic yet completely updated. The original structures were preserved/repurposed. And additional structures were added. The large common yard was also preserved- a rarity in Taos. The compound is surrounded by a wooded area, also uncommon for property so conveniently located to town.
