Salty Sister- Suites at Morro Rock is set to be Morro Bay's newest hotel and closest hotel to Morro Rock. With a stunning panoramic view of the bay, this boutique hotel / vacation rental will be a popular addition to the Morro Bay waterfront.
This listing is for Flying Jib (suite 2) located in Bldg A (south side of complex). Can connect with Grand Morro (suite 1) and Starboard (suite 5). The Flying Jib stand alone will sleep 3 guests. Adding the additional 2 adjoining suites will sleep 9 guests.
Located on Front Street, next to the Maritime Museum, Morro Bay Inn is ideally situated to the Embarcadero, surf and recreational areas. Easy walk to shops and several dining options. Or, take a more brisk walk around Morro Bay Rock or on the beach. Paddle board, kayak in the bay or join-up with surfers at several nearby favorite surf locations. Many of the suites offer Morro Bay rock and bay views. Sit back and watch the fishing boats depart early morning and return with their daily catch.

1. Can I rent all 6 suites? Yes. The suites have been specifically designed with large group gatherings in mind. When the full complex is rented, guest will have 4 full kitchens, 6 bathrooms, 6 king beds, access to the roof top deck with BBQ and lower patio and decks.
2. Can I rent half the complex? Yes. the right and left sides of the complex are a mirror image. Suites 2 or 3 must be rented to have access to the roof top deck and BBQ area. Otherwise guest will have access to semi-private front deck and BBQ area.
3. Will I have access to the rooftop deck? Access to the roof top deck area(s) is only thru suites 2 and 3.
4. Are there lock-off doors between suites? Yes. There are block-off doors between suites 1 & 2; and 1 & 5 in the north building. Same for south building: suite 3 & 4; and suites 4 & 6. Each suite can have a private space, or when open creates a large group home sleeping large group gatherings.
5. Is there Morro Bay rock and bay views? Yes! Gorgeous panoramic views from several suites.
6. Is there AC units in the suites? Yes, there is AC in each suite.
7. Are there fireplaces in the suites? Suites 1 and 4 have fireplaces (see attached Floor Plan in pictures).

I need to get a message to the owner. The mixer valve in the shower needs to be fixed. Water is either too hot or too cold and is extremely hard to regulate. Other than that this was an extraordinary property and we would stay there again.

Great Spot, Great Communication
My partner and I were looking for a new place to stay in Morro and the Salty Sisters complex did not disappoint! The pricing was reasonable, the views were great, and the ammenities were awesome (especially the lift and washer/dryer). We'll definitely be back!

Almost Great
Very cute and clean unit in a great location with a nice view and convenient eateries nearby. The door to the adjoining room allows noise through so if you have loud neighbors it could be a problem.

Great, only the smallest details need attention
small details need attention- keureg coffee ws only decaf; the sonos sound system for flying jib room is #3 but its hard to figure that out and I turned on others sound by guessing it was #2 etc.

Perfect Location, clean and beautiful accommodation
Positives: The place is clean, beautiful, comfortable, and incredible location to experience all of Morro Bay. Main bedroom was great. The foldout couch was comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and shower was wonderful. The upper deck was beautiful although we didn't use it--it has a great 6 seat table with center gas heater. The view from the main room is awesome--all windows and Morro Rock and Bay. Keycode check-in was easy and better than a key.
Negatives: Cooking area was very small. Not able to cook and do dishes for a meal, only a snack really. If you plan to dine out or do most of your cooking on bbq you will be OK, but it was not sufficient for cooking meals for even 2 people indoors, just not enough space on the stove burners, fridge, or sink. There was plenty of kitchen pots/pans/plates/silverware/etc, but there just wasn't sufficient space to prepare food, cook food, or cleanup afterwards.
Communication: I received the standard info they provide to guests, but they did not answer questions and requests and never even responded at all.

I would love to tell you about the amazing view and the perfect decoration, and the rooftop deck and fire pit. Or how this place was perfectly placed within walking distance from everything. Lovely location close to so many activities. We were there to celebrate a wedding in SLO but were able to paricipate easily in just about anything central coast. We did winery visits, San Simeon, SLO Farmers Market, Cayucos Beach Walk... plus all things Morro Bay. Great location and amenities. Recommend 100X

You won't be disappointed by the completely new space and options that come with booking the Salty Sister, and the location is unbeatable if you want direct access to (and perfect view of) Morro Rock, beaches and coastline. The best breakfast spot in town is right next door. The unit itself was immaculate.

Salty Sister was perfect for our large group of 6 adults and 3 teens. Right across from The Rock, the location can't be beat for walking, shopping, and dining in Morro Bay. The main unit and the lock offs worked out perfectly for our group and the decor and updates are beautiful! Would definitely stay again.
