We had a wonderful stay at Mas de Payan and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for peace, character and an authentic Provençal atmosphere. The property is located on a beautiful old estate in a very quiet rural setting. This means wonderful tranquility and a true escape from everyday life, although shopping and most activities require a short drive. The house itself is a lovingly converted former agricultural building with plenty of charm and personality. It feels like a real home rather than a standard holiday rental, which we appreciated very much. The two gardens add greatly to the atmosphere and make the property a special place to relax.During our stay, a severe storm caused a lengthy power outage. In such a rural location this naturally created some challenges, but this was clearly an exceptional situation and not something within the hosts' control. There were a few minor surprises during our stay, and some areas of the outdoor space could benefit from a little extra attention. However, these details did not significantly affect our enjoyment of the holiday. What stood out most was the excellent communication and support throughout our stay. Whenever questions arose, help was always available quickly and kindly, and we genuinely felt well looked after.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mas de Payan. The unique character of the house, the peaceful surroundings and the attentive support made for a memorable Provence experience.
