My daughter & I had a wonderful stay - the property was as described, beautiful & private yet not far from Pagosa springs, & we saw wild turkey and deer daily. Our host was highly responsive, knowledgeable, & helpful, the home was lovely, peaceful, & comfortable & was supplied with every amenity we could fathom. We will definitely be returning!

Location on the top of a hill presented beautiful views of the area. Kiitchen well stocked with utensils and condiments. Location is away from the town but worth the extra drive. Would use again if we return to the area.

The setting was high above Pagosa Springs which afforded a beautiful nighttime view of the town. Most spectacular was the view of the mountains changing throughout the day. Also, we were delighted to see the turkeys walking through the woods near the house and then roosting in the trees at night. The house was very well appointed, especially the kitchen! There is a huge wall of glass in the living area so there is abundant light and the VIEWS, spectacular.

The property was just as described. Everything was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes. We always appreciated having a washer/dryer. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of toilet paper but no Kleenex. The house sits high above Pagosa Springs and has a beautiful view. We enjoyed the deer and the turkeys each morning. We would definitely stay there again!

Kleenex Updated! Thanks for the reminder. Also, you missed the baby bear! He strolled by the day after you left. He was very timid, about 5 months old and ran off as soon as I told him to.

Thanks Mary, we love the view too and think the wild turkeys are a hoot! We’ve also had a bear , mountain lion, fox, wolf along with the regular crowd of deer, elk and dingo. Always interesting living up on the hill.

The host was absolutely amazing! She gave us plenty of tips on places to visit. She was very welcoming. The house was beautiful and the view from the property was absolutely breathtaking! Close enough to town but far enough away as well. Definitely recommend staying here!

The Berghaus Pagosa is a great place to stay. Annette and Tess are both great to work with. Highly recommend this for your stay. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay while we visited Pagosa Springs on our 30th anniversary.

Quick getaway!

I have family in the area and headed down from Denver for a quiet visit. Beautiful scenery and lovely accommodations. Annette has thought of everything. Such a pleasant stay. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely stay again.

Better up front communication would be nice. I reached out the day I landed with flight delays and wanted to know how to access the unit but nobody responded. We did reach someone late when we arrived but stumbled on the dark to figure how to access the unit. Beautiful place otherwise

Wonderful place for a couple

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Berghaus. Spectacular view, a clean and quiet home, a comfortable bed, and nice shower made for a memorable stay. At twilight of our last day there were 24 wild turkeys wandering the hillside by the house! Just amazing. The big laundry room was a bonus. Thank you for offering such a lovely place. We hope to come again.

Paradise in the Pines

Booked this place for anniversary in Sept. and couldn't have been happier. It felt so remote yet less than ten minutes from town. We really enjoyed the privacy, the views and the wildlife that visited every evening. The turkeys were very bold and actually came up on the patio as we sat out to enjoy a glass of wine, made my husband start thinking about a turkey dinner😊 I would definitely recommend this place for a couples getaway. First: We did not ski, but there was no “n/a” option.The view was exceptional !!!!!We liked the facilities fine. We would suggest a better explanation for fall/winter users stating the only heating is a floor radiation system. It was very difficult to figure how to regulate the temperature.The daily visit from the wild turkeys walking by our window is very cool.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. The accommodations, the view, the location was perfect. If there’s anything we could change, it would be to put a true blackout curtain on the bedroom window. Sunrises come very early. We can’t wait to come back!!
