Beautiful week in Costa Rica

Could not ask for a better place to say. We had everything we could want and more. The owner and property manager were great to communicate with and take excellent care of the property and their guests. One of the best places we have ever stayed!

Amazing rental

From communication with Jeanette, to her advice on how to navigate the country, to her amazing home. We deeply enjoyed our holiday vacation and would recommend her house to anyone. What a wonderful neighborhood with incredible wildlife every single day.

Fabulous Property

We were absolutely thrilled with this home. The home was beautifully decorated , the location was perfect. We are sad we only scheduled 3 nights. We will definitely be back for a longer stay the next time we are in Costa Rica. The property manager Bas was great. Very helpful and attentive to us.

Our stay was incredible and exceeded our expectations. Having everything we needed from sand toys to boogie boards for the beach which was steps from the back patio was incredible. The beach was fantastic with good waves for our older kids to enjoy while feeling safe having the younger kids swim as well. Having a fully stocked kitchen with all of the cooking supplies was handy for us to cook breakfast and lunch so that we could splurge for dinner was great! 3 private bedrooms with AC units and their own bathrooms was incredible with a master suite with ocean views was breathtaking! We did an excursion to Tortuga Island and went snorkeling and swam with bioluminescence. We also ate dinner at Los Vivos beach, a private beach with a fantastic restaurant. Our stay was incredible and the host has a property manager who communicated with us as needed to make sure we were comfortable. We definitely want to come back.

Beach paradise!

We were a group of 5 adults traveling around Costa Rica and spent a week at this property. It was wonderful! As a birder, I really enjoyed all the resident Scarlet Macaws flying around, not to mention all the other birds, including a host of hawks and caracaras I hadn't seen before. The howler monkeys were also everpresent in the trees next to the property. The house itself is very well appointed and the property manager was incredibly responsive. He was always available through text or calls if we needed advice on tours, etc...

Amazing beachside house

We are a family of 5 ages 6 to 81 and absolutely loved the house and the beach. We were there late November and had great weather as well. The house was well maintained and clean. The ocean is perfect for swimming, boogie boarding and surfing. It was safe for our 6 year old to swim. Access was just a small stroll down from the house. The beach is long and great for walks. The only downside was the amount of plastic garbage on the beach. We were told that this comes from the local rivers and is cleaned up by the locals and we happened to be there before the cleanup. Despite this we would go back and stay again.

Best Stay Ever!!

I can't say enough amazing things about this house and the surrounding area. From the owner to the manager to the restaurant and beach only steps away.... This place is more than we could've ever asked for. The people were great and I relaxed from my super busy lifestyle. The food, the comfort of the home, and the helpfulness of the owner and the property manager, all made this just what we needed. We will be here as frequently as we can. We hated to leave!!! You will not regret coming here. Jeannette's home is beautifully decorated and so comfy. I loved every single bit of it. The sounds of the ocean and the different types of wildlife made this a tropical retreat I'll visit time and time again. Thank you Jeannette and Sebastian for making this trip everything my family desired and more. Pura Vida!!

Paradise found…Jeanette’s ocean front house is absolutely amazing and surpassed all our expectations. The house itself is so spacious with lots of inside and outside choices for lounging/chilling, with a fantastic inside/outside feel due to all the opening windows and doors (with bug screens).The property is extremely well equipped with everything you’d need, including pool/beach toys and plenty of beach towels.The Howler monkeys came to the adjacent trees on 4-5 days of our stay, so many plus babies, just amazing.Rancho’s Restaurant Bar is very good, friendly service and nice fresh food.We used Tavo Tours for our Tortuga Island Tour, they pick up straight on the beach and are just the best. This is a must do trip and the Tavo team are all about making the customer happy, use them.We went end of October, so still wet season, we had a mixed bag weather wise, but it didn’t bother us. It was awesome watching the storms over the ocean at night.It was also so quiet when we went, you virtually have the amazing beach to yourself and even the pool for most of our trip as we were the only ones in the complex of 8 villas for all but two of the days.I cannot say much more, I’ll just finish by saying this was probably our best vacation rental to date, if you thinking of booking don’t second guess, just do it, you’ll love it!

Far exceeded expectations!

This was one of 3 places we stayed in Costa Rica over 2 weeks. We loved all of them but this was by far our favourite place. The pictures don't do it justice. Our family was stunned when we walked into this place... world class view. The space was much bigger in person than it appeared in the photos. Jeanette (the owner) was EXTREMELY well prepared and had every dish/cooking ware piece you could ask for, great instructions for everything and great activity suggestions. Also had boogie boards for everyone & beach equip, etc. Sebastian "Bas" the property manager was awesome! Sent us very detailed information in advance and was very quick to reply to questions. The entire community is gated with 24/7 security. We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys and we felt VERY safe. We originally planned on exploring the surrounding area more but loved this place so much, we basically stayed put for the whole week because it has EVERYTHING! Groceries are nearby in Cabono, but honestly you could probably buy most stuff you need (including the daily ice cream trips our family did) at the local grocery store, Mini Pali. We would 100% come back to this place and hope to. We just can't say enough great things about this place..I would give it a 20/10 if I could. Scarlett macaws visited the tree out back 3 of the 5 days and 14 howler monies were in the trees next to the house one day - this place had WAY more wildlife than I was expecting. Far exceeded our expectations!

Tropical paradise ideal for families

We recently returned from a week's stay in this beautiful home in Tambor Beach, and continue to talk about how much we enjoyed our time. After a fairly long trek to the home from the airport, no surprise for anyone who has traveled in this region, we were cheerfully greeted by Colleen the house manager. The house, unlike others we have stayed at, was exactly as pictured online. It is directly on the beach, with unobstructed views in every direction. It is adjacent to other homes, but given this was "low season", except for some local families on the weekend, the beach and pool was close to deserted. Having stayed in many accommodations in various locations in the Caribbean in the past 20 years, one expects a range of items in the home. Here, we were delighted to find the kitchen was supplied with thoughtful items from the homeowner including some "starter" coffee, sugar, granola bars, as well as things left behind from other guests including spices, cooking oil, cereal and rice. The kitchen space though small, contained everything I needed to prep nightly dinner for 5. We had a few visits from howler monkeys in the nearby trees and morning coffee watching the macaws. Bedding and towels were high quality and plentiful, with both ceiling fans and a/c. We made daily use of the tennis facilities, ate at the restaurant twice (very good!) and could have easily enjoyed golf as well. There is a small grocery store at the complex entrance for those guests without a car or didn't want to travel, though within 20mns we shopped for all our needs in a local store, buying fresh bread, fruit and meat directly across the street. The complex itself was well maintained, with 24 hour unobtrusive security, and staff who are friendly and ready to assist with any questions. There was one issue with a leaking faucet, which was promptly addressed with an email to Colleen. We chose to do only one excursion, though there are many options within travel distance from the house. The local area has many roads being paved, but slow travel should be anticipated, again typical for any travel in this region. Over all it was an amazing week in a beautiful home.

Just Lovely

You can’t get any better than this. The location is fantastic, the property manager is super nice, there’s a great restaurant next door. It’s right in the beach and the sound of the ocean was wonderful.

Incredible Vacation!

This place was all we were hoping for and more! We were looking for a relaxing respite where we could just exist with no plans and no cares in the world and that's exactly what we got. My fiancee is still talking about how sad she is we aren't still on the beach in Playa Tambor. I sadly didn't see any monkeys here but you know the howler monkeys are out there as they were very talkative. Lots of iguanas about on the property of all sizes, even saw one as big as a skateboard! We will definitely be back. As soon as possible according to my fiancee.

Beautiful house and view

We loved this house and would definitely stay here again. Sadly, we could only stay 2 nights. Sebastian the property manager was so helpful with checking in and assisting with other questions we had. Our highlight was seeing the Macaws in the back yard. The house and the view is beautiful!

Great location

The Tambour beach is wonderful for young children. The waves are fun for boogie boards but not dangerous. The beach is sandy and gets deep only very gradually. Our villa was right on the beach so a great location. The pool is shared with other condos but was never crowded. The villa is well equipped including beach toys, Netflix and board games. The Villa complex has great security. Everyone we met was helpful and pleasant. Truly a great vacation. Thanks to Jeannette for helping us plan this family vacation. Just wish we had more time to play golf! Roger and Nicole

Absolutely Fabulous!

A Simply Wonderful experience from booking to check out. The owner has been wonderful. The property manager was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to a few minor maintenance issues. I’ve rented many properties for my travel group and we all agree, this has been the best. Casa de Karma is magical! The condo is just perfect. The setting is just perfect. The beach, perfect. The shared pool is perfect. I’ve always shied away from “shared pools” but as the the property description indicates, no one is ever there. I work at a drug and alcohol treatment center in Ann Arbor MI. Called Dawn Farm. We have numerous roosters. At Tambor Bch. You have numerous Scarlet Macaws. I much prefer being woken by Scarlet Macaws! We will never forget this place! Life Changing!!! Pura Vida! (We get it now!) Theodore T.

Fantastic Vacation

Great property, everything was as advertised. Fantastic location for beach access. The beach was really clean, sandy bottom & safe for all ages. We loved getting up in the morning and watching the sunrise. Property as well as the entire Los Dolfinos area was very well maintained with 24hr security. Our property manager Sebastian, was very helpful and always available by phone or text. We would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a relaxing vacation in Costa Rica

our week in paradise

The 6 of us had an amazing week at this lovely home, on the beach with a pool (which was our private pool for the week since no one else was there). We were worried about the weather (green season) but we picked the perfect time to come. The weather was beautiful every day. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We would love to return.

Beautiful property on the beach

We spent our twins' birthday here. It is a beautiful corner lot property steps away from the beach and a pool that you can see from your window. The highlight for us was watching the macaws sitting in the trees outside the villa and waking up to the sound of the waves. We would love to go back some day.
