Ved søen i skoven!

Slap af ved Corkscrew Cabin, ved bugten, ved enden af Corkscrew Bay på den naturskønne Roosevelt-sø. Sid på det store overdækkede dæk og tag den omkringliggende skov, dyreliv og udsigt over søen gennem træerne! En meget kort gåtur fører dig til slutningen af en dyb bugt med adgang til strande, fiskeri og smuk natur ved søen. To soveværelser og et komplet badeværelse. Et soveværelse har en kingsize-seng, og det andet soveværelse har en dronning og to køjer. Saml dig omkring spisebordet, som er åbent for køkken og stue. Kælderen har et ping-pong-rum, medierum og vaskerum. Kabinen er meget fjerntliggende. De eneste naboer er campisterne om sommeren på Camp Na-bor-lee ved enden af vejen (En alkoholfri campingplads kun med reservation) Oplev ørkenen uden Wi-Fi, celtjeneste er svag eller ikke tilgængelig (Verizon virker pålidelig.) Ingen vekselstrøm eller opvaskemaskine. De sidste få kilometer vej er snavs / grus. Beliggende på søen mellem to bådlanceringer, Hunters og Fort Spokane, hver mindre end 20 miles væk (10 miles med båd.) Brændstof dokker og landhandel er ved Two Rivers overfor Fort Spokane. Kom væk og leg! Denne introhastighed er kun tilgængelig i kort tid. Dette er den første sæson, hvor kabinen har været tilgængelig til korttidsleje.

Wonderful location and property

Love this! Reserved it for guests for our wedding and they loved the home and the privacy! Rustic and just what you would expect for a country setting.

A Nice Family Get Away

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The place was clean and comfortable. There is no cell service there which is good and bad, but more good as we have kids who needed the "device detox"! They had lots of DVD movies and games to play and we did those when we weren't swimming. That it was pet-friendly and we could take our 2 small dogs was a big plus. Overall a great stay.

Perfect Location

We had high expectations, and this trip exceeded them! It was the perfect place for our family getaway. Necessities in the cabin were well stocked. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds and deer. The seclusion of this part of Lake Roosevelt was perfect. We felt like we almost had the lake to ourselves!

Great cabin in the woods

Great cabin in the woods if you’re looking to disconnect for a bit. The house is well equipped for weekend getaway. Great deck for watching the deer while drinking coffee. Would of loved being closer to the lake, but you can’t win em all.

I'm glad you were able to disconnect and getaway. I would love the cabin to be closer to the lake as well, and also feel very fortunate that it is closer than most. The pros and cons of the National Parks Service overseeing Lake Roosevelt is how well the shoreline is protected from development. The good is the Lake is not lined with houses on the shoreline, keeping the Lake more natural and wild. Of course, I also would love a house on the beach, but that effects the beauty of the Lake in the wilderness. Luckily, the cabin and deck are amazing for watching wildlife and the lake through the tall trees, and you do not have to get in the car to enjoy the water, just take a walk through the woods.

Peaceful Getaway

We had 3 days here with no cell phone, no internet. It was so quiet and peaceful. Canoed every day on Lake Roosevelt, which is so beautiful. Joanna was so helpful in getting ready for trip. We loved unwinding at this cabin in the woods.

QUIET 🙌

It was very quiet and relaxing. Everything you need is there….except ANY phone service. While it was nice to ‘unplug’ for a few days, the lack of availability of outside contact in case of emergency made us a little worried. Other than that, We enjoyed our stay very much! The bed was very comfortable and did I say it was quiet? So quiet, we loved it!

Thank you for staying with us! Yes, there is little to no phone service, and no internet service. I hoped it was clear in the property description how limited the service is. For all future renters, be aware that it is a remote location. Internet is available at Hunters Bar and Grill, or Hunters Library, 20 miles away. It does make it a very quiet place! So happy you enjoyed your stay!

Great remote getaway

We had the best time! We loved how close we were to water. Loved going for walks in nature. We were in town for a wedding so thought we'd stay local. So happy we did. The house has everyting you need! No ac was kind of a bummer but it stayed cool downstairs and forced us to the water which was lovely! Loved that there was limited wi-fi and cell service! Had a great time playing games and hangin as a family. Thanks so much!

UNPLUGGED

An amazing relaxing weekend away from computer, cell phone, people and BONUS no mosquitos!!! We had the best daddy day weekend with our fur kidz at this secluded cabin! Stocked with all the amenities one would need for a short stay or even longer. Well decorated, very comfortable, close to lake for fishing. We would definitely refer others to check out this hidden gem. The pre-correspondence with property owner was helpful and informative and check in was smooth. The on sight hosts were delightful and eager to tend to whatever we needed. We would recommend this hidden gem to anyone wanting to get away from it all and just UNPLUG.

Corkscrew Cabin at the Green Lagoon

This cabin is perfect for a summer get away to the woodlands of WA near Fruitland. Comfortable beds and nice sized bathroom, kitchen and living room. Kitchen is well stocked with the exception of a microwave which would have been nice to have during our stay. Great view of the forest from the large windows on the front of the cabin. Property also includes access to a small inlet from the Columbia River perfect for launching kayaks or paddleboards. No internet and no WIFI at the cabin. There is A/C in both bedrooms but none throughout the rest of the house. We did just fine in 94 degree weather by turning on available fans and shutting curtains of windows exposed to sun during the day. Plenty of parking. Directions to get to an access the cabin were spot on. Would definitely recommend this property and plan to make a return trip at some time in the future. Thank you to our hostess for a lovely stay!

lovely, remote setting

We enjoyed our stay at Corkscrew Cabin. It is nestled in the woods with deer and turkey to keep us company. The Lake was low, so we had to drive a ways to find a good boat launch, but that was not difficult. The cabin is large enough for more folks,but was great for just the two of us as well.

Quiet, quiet, quiet

Being off the beaten path has its advantages thats for sure. The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We cooked all of our meals on the nice propane grill w/side burner that's well placed on the deck. This was also necessary as we didn't need any more heat in the house. With the home shut down during the day and fans circulating air it made it livable in the evening and a relief to wake up to. We actually didn't spend much time "In" the house. Temps pushed 100 on the deck but the interior stayed 10-15° cooler, easily. Deer and turkey roamed the property grazing on the greener vegetation watered by a sprinkler system. We made daily trips up and down Lake Roosevelt enjoying the Parks, numerous boat launches and it's coastline. Find a turnout along US25 to find your own "private" access for the day. We've never visited this part of the state before and found it beautiful. Corkscrew Cabin was the perfect launching point to make that happen. What we enjoyed most about the cabin was the deck. Watching the bats emerge at dusk, the sky filling with a million stars, to sattelites and shooting stars streaking across the night sky, it was marvelous. Cool (65-70°) mornings with a cup of coffee along with a few deer and turkey meandering through always kicked off the day. We'd certainly rent the property again, who knows..maybe a early fall trip next time. Cheers

Wonderful getaway!

Very convenient location being near the camp -at least for us! We had a family gathering at the camping area so this place was perfect for us as we don't have a RV nor do we want to do the tent thing anymore! Ha! In the mornings we took advantage of the deck and took some time to walk on some trails. Loved watching the turkeys and their babies as well as the mama deer and her fawn...all from the deck!

QUIET AND RELAXING

MY FAMILY AND I ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE CABIN. WE HIKED ALL AROUND, AND ENJOYED THE QUIET RETREAT. UNFORTUNATELY THE WATER LEVEL WAS TO LOW TO LAUNCH THE CANOE. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS ENJOYABLE. I WILL TRY TO MAKE IT BACK THERE DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.

Winter Wonderland @ Corkscrew Cabin

We stayed at the Corkscrew Cabin for 5 days after Christmas. The area was peaceful, quiet and beautiful and the cabin was comfortable and warm. We appreciated that we couldn't get consistent internet or cell service because it forced us to truly disconnect. We played board games in the evenings and played in the snow during the day. We walked to the lake nearby which was serene when the snow fell. Speaking of snow, we were lucky to have almost a foot of snow fall while we were there! The owner arranged for the driveway to be plowed the day before we left so we had no issue getting out. I would recommend chains or snow tires when visiting in the winter. This is a great place to visit, we highly recommend it!

Perfect place to stay for a getaway with friends and family!

There was plenty of activities and games to enjoy with friends and family. Owner is very responsive and nice. The lake was a beautiful and very close to the cabin. Definitely recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to get away from reality!

Remote escape with all the amenities

We had an amazing time at the cabin. There was only one truck that ever passed the cabin the entire week we stayed. The boat launch was easily accessible and the National park being across the road made the use of protected inlets with swim docks very easy! We had my dog off leash playing fetch all week and no problem. Saw snakes, deer, turkeys, chipmunks, hawks, and ravens on or right near the property. As a heads up to the next guests, there is a toaster oven and many kitchen appliances to be used when desired, but no microwave so pack groceries accordingly.

Our family has traveled to Lake Roosevelt for generations. Mostly during the summer months, we have enjoyed camping with friends and family on many of the beaches and campgrounds only accessible by boat. After many years of camping on the beach our backs needed more comfort. Now we can save our bodies for more time to play. We have also loved the winter months in the area skiing at the ski resorts in the area. The memories we have created here are AMAZING! We look forward to creating many more.

We have dreamt about finding a secluded property on the end of a protected bay on Lake Roosevelt for many, many years. While often calm, when the wind picks up it can be difficult to secure boats on a wide open beach. The bay offers protection while having easy access between the lake and cabin. We have vacationed on lakes, mountains, beaches, oceans, deserts, and the tropics. After all of that, we found that this place is one of our favorites. It has National Park beauty, wildlife, beaches, sun, snow, seclusion, and so much more. We can't wait to explore and learn even more about this part of the world.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

52 miles up the Columbia River from Grand Coulee Dam, find incredible seclusion with wonderful access to Lake Roosevelt. The Lake stretches more than 130 miles from the dam into Canada. National Park caliber scenes of forest and rock formations, outstanding fishing, numerous sandy beaches and amazing waterfalls splash directly into the lake. Day trips to the Dam or Kettle Falls are possible if you want to cruise and sightsee (fuel docks are along the route in both directions.) Boat traffic typically stays near the launches, leaving this stretch of the lake less busy, if water-sporting on glassy water is desired. The cabin faces directly north, which provides much needed shade in the summer heat. Enjoy the crackling fire after a day of playing in the snow during the cold winter months. We love the opportunity to step away from the hustle of life and out into the wilderness. This is also why we have not brought wifi in (we actually talk and play games with each other without the distraction.) It feels like traveling back in time to a simple way of living.
