Loved staying here!

Lee’s property is the perfect place to stay in the Big Fork area. The property is large and peaceful, the studio has everything you need, the beds are amazingly comfy and Lee is the perfect host. Thanks for having us Lee!

Still fantastic!

This was the fifth year my daughter and I stayed at this property and it remains one of our favorite places. Lee continues to be a gracious host and we look forward to hopefully returning next year!

Large private loft apartment

Very roomy, nice and comfortable place to stay. Enjoyed meeting the owner and seeing his metal and blown glass art studio with projects in process.

Nice place to stay in Big Fork

Entire upstairs suite over garage is yours. Great feel on a very large property. About a quarter mile off the road and nice and private. Well worth a stay when you're near Flathead Lake. A couple of miles from Big Fork's small and quaint downtown which is on the lake.

Very responsive, friendly, and flexible

I had to make some changes to my original reservation, and Lee was very helpful in returning my calls, assisting with the changes, and going out of his way to accommodate an extra last minute guest.

Twenty-two days in Bigfork

Proctor's Studio provided a very quiet, relaxing stay. Location was perfect for us, just outside of Bigfork, with a beautiful view of the Swan and Mission Mountains! Horses, deer and wild turkeys entertained us as we dined by the picture window. The studio was clean, nice and bright and Lee was quick to provide anything we needed. For an extended stay, you may want to read through Amenities, as there may be some items you wish to bring along. We were very pleased with our stay!

Quick visit

Just stayed the night as we were traveling through. Unique property. We got in late in the afternoon and left quite early so no time to visit or explore the property. It was quite hot when we got into the property. We opened windows and thankfully there was a cool breeze so we could sleep comfortably. Would suggest a floor fan(fans) for hotter days.

Magical Montana Honeymoon Suite

This was our first time visiting Montana and it was nothing short of amazing! Lee was extremely helpful when communicating back & forth with us. As soon as we drove down the private driveway to the property, Lee greeted us and gave us a tour. The peacefulness of the property makes all your worry and stress disappear! It is truly a "cabin in the woods," but with the safety and security you would feel as if on a private resort. You have the beautiful Swan Mountain Range right in window view, you can lay in bed and take in all the tranquility. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we hoped for our vacation. A home away from home, but you still have the accessibility to the everyday necessities you need-gas stations, coffee shops, restaurants and dining. We will definitely be coming back for our first wedding anniversary!! Thanks so much Lee.

Wedding trip

Thank you, Lee! We both agreed we would definitely stay again next time we are in the area. Lee was very accommodating and the bed was super comfy. It was such a peaceful place to stay.

The location is awesome! There could be some improvements made to the property to make it a bit more enjoyable for a longer stay. Fixing a few things like the door, window and tub would go a long way. Also consider A/C or window fans as it was quite warm for sleeping even with all the windows open. A few additional amenities like kitchen towels would be helpful as well as a larger trash can again for longer stays.

The property own was nice and friendly. Property was clean and had everything as described. Only thing conduit check out where we were required to clean the dishes which we did but didn’t have anything to dry the dishes with except paper towels.

Nice place

Enjoyed the quiet countryside. Had to walk upstairs over the garage. No problem. A wad of hair/lint rolled out from under the bed, but, otherwise the room was clean.

Gracious Host Spectacular property

The property was absolutely beautiful and convenient to Bigfork and West Glacier. I didn't read the description close enough - no air and only a ceiling fan. Only one window had a screen. Could use a few more towels and some basics like utensils and paper towel. Beds comfortable!

Met our needs

Off beaten path which was perfect for first night traveling Montana smallish towns. Mostly just spent the overnight there - beds and shower were good. Only drawback was couldn’t figure out how to lock door. Could’ve called Lee but weren’t that worried about it.

Glacier trip

Nice little bonus room above the garage. No air conditioning and the room was really hot at checkin. Would recommend a box fan to pull cool air from outside. Is an 45 minute drive from Glacier park. There was no way for me to secure the room from the outside since we were not issued a key so that was odd.but the room was great and had a beautiful view

Pleasant experience

Spacious area above 3-bay garage that includes beds, kitchen, and sitting area, and a separate bathroom. The owner was pleasant and quickly responded to our requests. (Exception: I left several voices messages that were never returned. Found out after arriving that he prefers texting.) Check-in process wasn’t well communicated (which is why I had left several messages, but all that’s needed is to just show up after 4. One last thing: if you’re accustomed to A/C, there isn’t any. The ceiling fan and open windows was adequate when we were there. We would book again if visiting the area.

The 20 acre property was purchased to build my new studio that would accommadate glass working facility. Which would combine with the already existing metal facility, offering great possibilities to blend the two mediums. we work mostly on commission creating one of a kind site specific work as well as sculptural installations .

Following a vision I moved to Montana from the growing crowds of south Florida in 1975. I was completely taken with the pristine waters the unspoiled landscape and the dramatic change of the seasons. Built a log home near Bigfork started a metal shop and never looked back. A river runs through Bigfork and pours into the Flathead a world class lake the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi.There is abundant wild life here on the property, from deer and coyotes, to countless birds of prey like Great Horned Owls and bald eagles.

Being just minutes from the quaint mountain village of Bigfork, yet far enough out to have a private, rural
feel. Great place to relax, take walks, or witness the processes involved in the studio. I enjoy sharing this
