Excellent stay at Sol Mate

I had the pleasure of staying here with my two kids for the weekend and we had the best time. The property was excellent.. and had everything we needed, very clean, and just honestly was exactly what we needed for our weekend. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future! Beautiful condo, exquisite views! Love Amelia island and this condo. I appreciate the little personal touch Peter and Mary provide with their little guide of things they like and love about the island and staying at the condo. I didn’t need the owners at all, but I know if I did, they would be very responsive.

Loved the property and location. There is some construction at present but it really didn’t bother us. One of the nicest we have stayed in. The view was wonderful and beach was great. We paid for chairs and umbrellas to be set up on the beach which made it perfect. We will be back!

Great condo and even better view!

My husband and I stayed here with our two year old daughter. The condo was clean and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again!

We love this Condo and owner!

This is our 3rd stay in this property. The condo is well stocked, comfortable and clean. The property owner is a pleasure and we have never had any problems. Look forward to returning next summer.

What a gem!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay in this stunning condo! We had everything we needed, beds were delightful, the view was amazing, and the owners were extremely accommodating! Would recommend to anyone!

Great Getaway!

This is a beautiful condo, The Hosts have truly thought of everything to make the stay great. They even have a “ survival guide” all emergency info, things to do, restaurants, where to find things on the island it was so helpful. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked, I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Peter & Mary for sharing your beautiful place!

Beautiful Condo with great owners

We had a wonderful week in Amelia and loved the condo. The owners are very responsive and make renting very easy. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would absolutely rent it again!

Ocean Place is the best!

Great vacation! Nice condo, with upgrades. Great view and location! Loved the fact that the condo was already stocked with household staples such as trash liners, dishwasher pods, and laundry detergent! Also the seating on the balcony was ample for up to 6 individuals. We have stayed at OP many times but have never had the owners leave the gate remote or an access card to the Summer Beach Club which was a super nice amenity!! Thanks and can’t wait for the next visit to this wonderful island!!!

Wonderful beach vacation!

We had a great stay! The condo was immaculately kept and well stocked. The whole process was seamless from booking and move-in, to move-out. The owners were very easy to deal with and provided helpful guidance and tips on local activities, restaurants, and sights. The location was very convenient to shopping and the beach was excellent and never too crowded. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful property

Very enjoyable time and unit. The property owners were awesome as well as the property manager. Very responsive to our needs and request. Nice accommodations and outstanding view. Very relaxing sitting on the balcony at night and enjoying the sweet sound of the ocean. If you go you will enjoy your stay and time at this unit.

A little gem on the beach...

The property was clean, comfortable, well stocked with towels and beach equipment, and perfectly situated with excellent views of the ocean from the sixth floor. As others have mentioned, the carpet in one of the bedrooms (not both) does need addressing as there is some small staining caused by previous renters, but both bedrooms had plenty of closet and drawer space and the king size beds were super comfy. The bathrooms were also very clean and we loved their modern design. When we arrived, we had an issue with the lock. The bolt had snapped off completely (we suspect from wear and tear over time with people leaving it in the locked position and the door ajar while they unload/load their cars and move luggage into/out of the property causing it to bang against the frame with the strong through draft) and so we had to call Peter for emergency assistance to fix it as soon as we arrived. He dealt with the issue immediately and we had a locksmith arrive within 20-30 minutes of our call to him. This is the only reason I mention it, to show how quick and responsive he was in dealing with and resolving the problem. It caused us no inconvenience as we just carried on unloading our vehicles while one of us stayed in the property and the locksmith had been and gone before we’d even finished settling in. Communication with Peter was excellent from the very beginning. He is very polite, responsive, and helpful and I was pleasantly surprised at how much information he provided by way of a written document he emailed us shortly before our trip. I’ve stayed in plenty of vacation rentals over the years and never had any owner go to that much trouble. It was very much appreciated. This is a lovely place to stay, a little gem on the beach, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great Stay!

Property owners were awesome to communicate with. We loved the view from the 6th floor and really enjoyed time on the deck/patio, as well as the beach! Condo had two or three cleanliness issues and minor items in need of repair, but we would 100% return and stay here!

Additional Bedroom/ Suite Not Acceptable

The master suite was fine. The additional suite was unacceptable. Both lamps were broken, carpet stained and nasty, found paper debris under bed. (Room was not cleaned adequately.) Bathroom in this suite sink and tub didn’t drain well. Toilet not flushing well. Washer had sewer smell coming from it. I was embarrassed because I selected the property, and shared it with our friends. Would not return to this condo (Sol Mate) for reasons above.

We started visiting Amelia Island about 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the island and the historic town of Fernandina Beach. We decided to look into purchasing property in 2017 and discovered Sol Mate at Ocean place. We think it's the best place to stay on the island and in the best location. See for yourself!

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

There are so many benefits. We fell in love with the long range views from the 6th floor balcony, and sleeping to the sounds of the Atlantic. I love drinking coffee in the morning from the balcony and watching the pelicans swoop and dive, the shrimp boats trawling offshore, the ships coming and going to the Jacksonville Port. And the food! So many fine restaurants to chose from. Very close to a terrific grocery store for meals prepared in our fully equipped kitchen.

As our guest, you have access to The Golf Club of Amelia Island adjacent to the Ritz! Enjoy a round at this exclusive private club, play tennis and relax at the Summer Beach Beach Club.
