What a wonderful place to spend your holiday in Normandy. The house is stunning and has everything needed for your stay.The gardens and pool are exceptional and Martine and Vincent are very friendly and helpful hosts.

The pictures don't do the property justice, the pool and covered seating area is wonderful, the rooms are furnished and decorated to a very high standard, everything that you need is supplied.

Fantastic

It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in in France.Every part of the place was well thought out with something for everyone. Owners were so pleasant and very helpful I would recommend this place to anyone fantastic

Two weeks in Harcourt

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Their house is very comfortable and well equipped. It was very clean and pool was excellent!

2nd Time..

Second time of staying here, was just as memorable as the first time. Thanks for your hospitality, the pool was great for the youngsters (and us), local area is full of interest, and history.

Stay in Harcourt June 2025

We had a wonderful weeks stay in Harcourt and the accommodation was even better than the pictures. Martine and Vincent were lovely hosts and ensured we had everything we needed.The house was very clean, extremely comfortable beds and great showers. Having the pool was such a bonus as we had very hot weather.The bakery is next door so a real treat having fresh warm croissants in the morning.Location is great too and easy to get around.Overall a fantastic holiday.

Lovely break

We had 2 weeks in Harcourt and directly our hosts were brilliant. When we arrived the check in was perfect everything explained and assured that Martine and Vincent were always available if needed. The accommodation was clean and very well presented. Pool was great and always cleaned before we got up, also able to cover if weather not great and still swim. The out door kitchen was a great place to relax in the evening with a bbq. Would regimens for a relaxing holiday.

A fantastic property in the heart of Normandy

Martine and Vincent's property in Harcourt is a fantastic location from which to get the most from this lovely part of Normandy. The cottage is finished and equiped to a very high standard with beautiful attention to detail and incredibly comfy beds. Martine and Vincent live close by and were very welcoming, helpful and interested in what we had enjoyed most about our holiday. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone and hope to return in the future.

A small French village

Caring hostess. Very well equipped. Very nice surroundings. The arboretum is fantastic. Clean and spacious. Quit very cozy garden. Stylish interior. We could charge our electric car with our own charger. Highly recommended. We stayed 10 nights and enjoyed every minute. Lovely bakery around the corner. The restaurant, when open, is great. Small and lovely grocery store.

Harcourt Holiday

Our holiday home was pure luxury. The big swimming pool had a retractable cover which was easy to open and close on the odd rainy day. Lovely big garden with a delightful enclosed Bbq area complete with gas Bbq. The property was amazing, 3 bedrooms each with their own unique style and all with en suite facilities. Martine and Vincent are the perfect hosts, very nice and friendly. They were totally unobtrusive, but were always available if needed (not that we needed anything). Cannot give this place a higher recommendation - it is superb!!!

We had the most amazing family holiday at Martine and Vincent's property. For many years now we have ceased to buy things as Christmas presents for our family but rather we take them on holiday to give them memories. We have done many trips to France with the family and in 50 years of marriage we have ourselves also stayed in many properties in France. We can say without a shadow of doubt that this is nicest place we have stayed by a country mile.Martine and Vincent are the kindest and most gracious hosts and although they live in the big house adjacent to the gite they were in no way intrusive but always there to help if needed and always out early to clean the pool ready for our use during the day. It is evident that they have put huge amounts of thought into the way they have set up the property which is beautifully set out, comprehensively equipped and really has everything you need for a relaxing and stress free holiday. Everything about the property exuded quality and attention to detail (particularly impressed with the underground cave)Th property is set in the picturesque village of Harcourt ( do try the restaurant in the village - you will not be disappointed!) and is set in a beautiful region with easy access to nearby towns,supermarkets and places of interest. The photos on the listing really do not do this place justice. The property represents excellent value for money and if you book (which we heartily recommend that you do) it will exceed your expectations

Superb house!

We have just returned from an amazing week in Normandy. Harcourt is a traditional Normandy village, with a shop, bakery, bar, restaurant and church. There is a Chateau (with arboretum) ten minutes walk from the property, Bec Abbey is around 15 minutes drive, and Rouen, Deauville, Honfleur, Le Havre and Etretat are all within 1-1.5 hours of the property. The private swimming pool is a real bonus, as it is covered and can be used in all weathers. Martine and Vincent are delightful, and could not have been more welcoming. The house is equipped with everything you need, even swimming towels, so it is home from home. The best thing, however, is the bakery next door - you can pick up your morning croissants and be back before the coffee has even filtered into the pot!

Rest

Martine and Vincent have the most amazing property to rent. The house itself is almost perfect. The only issue is the weather but that was brilliant most of the time we were there and the hosts can’t be held responsible for the rain. The surrounding town although small does have a Boulangerie (amazing produce) a small grocery store and a restaurant. It is very peaceful and quiet. We arrived to a very clean house and very helpful hosts. The accommodation is spacious with 3 bedrooms easily fitting a family of 5. The kitchen and bbq area are very good. The pool was perfect for our family. It was cleaned and prepared every morning before we awoke. We will definitely be returning when we can

Perfect relaxing break

The house was exactly as portrayed in the photos. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. A lovely welcome from Martine and Vincent and a much appreciated welcome pack. Even though the owners live on site we had complete privacy but they were always available if needed. We were lucky with the weather and visited Giverny, the new memorial at Vers sur Mer and the Museum at Arromanche. We also enjoyed the covered pool and the extensive grounds at our disposal. Harcourt is a lovely quiet village with a boulangerie just a few steps away and there is also a small village shop, pharmacy, cafe and tabac, and a restaurant and salon de the. The holiday was everything we expected and more and we are already making plans for a return visit next year.

Stay in Harcourt

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage. The location was perfect - in the centre of the village a few moments away from the bakery and market square but set in beautiful gardens which were very pretty and very peaceful and relaxing The pool was great - a good size to both swim in and for the children to play in. Like the gardens and the cottage - immaculately maintained The cottage itself is cozy and homely at the same time being stylish with a touch of luxury. Everything we needed had been thought about and was there. The outside dining area was a lovely area sadly during our visit it wasn’t quite warm enough to sit out at night but during the summer months it would be blissful. The owners were very welcoming and kind and spent time with us making sure we understood how to use everything in the cottage. As they live onsite they were always around should there have been any problems. A great stay in a lovely place thank you x

Exceptional gîte

This is an exceptional holiday home. The owners were very welcoming and had kindly left a few provisions and regional products for our arrival - all much appreciated. The house is very clean, well laid out and very well equipped. There is a beautiful garden with plenty outdoor furniture, a summer kitchen/BBQ area and a warm pool. The owners are very discreet but are close to hand and very willing to help with any questions about the area and suggestions for visits. The village has everything we needed - a boulangerie a few steps from the house, an épicerie, a pharmacie, tea room and Tabac. It's a 10 minute drive to the Leclerc supermarket in Le Neubourg for anything you can't get in the village. Good market in Le Neubourg on Wednesday with a selection of regional products, fruit, veg, clothes etc. There is plenty to see and do in the area without driving far. I would recommend a walk round the arboretum of the chateau d'Harcourt and a guided tour of the Abbey at Le Bec_Hellouin. We had a very relaxing ten days here and would definitely recommend to others.

I am delighted to share our enchanting experience at this remarkable self-catering cottage in Normandy. From the moment we stepped foot into the house, we were captivated by the impeccable decor that exuded elegance and charm. Every detail seemed meticulously curated to create a warm and inviting ambiance that truly elevated our stay. The centerpiece of our retreat was undoubtedly the pristine pool. Our days were a harmonious blend of exploration and relaxation. The Perfect Antidote to Stress

This gite is a bit like Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way. The house is stunning, with all the amenities a family needs for a relaxing holiday. Martine & Vincent have provided a top quality home from home in this converted stable block, making it the ideal place from which to explore the area or just chill by the pool. They were gracious hosts, too, welcoming us personally and giving us a few groceries (Normandy specialities like cider and Camembert as well as bread, butter and milk) to start us off. The covered and heated pool was a real asset, especially as we had a rather cool, wet week! We used it every day. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the ground floor bedroom was a little stuffy at night. A fan would have helped here. But even so, we slept quite well as the bed was really comfortable. The area is fabulous, with picturesque towns & villages all within easy reach. The market at Le Neubourg is worth a visit, and Rouen is a must…it’s a stunning city. We also enjoyed Bernay & the Chateau du Champ de Bataille. The Harcourt Arboretum is gorgeous. In conclusion, my family & I had a wonderful week and would recommend this superb gite to everyone.

Wunderschöner Urlaub in der Normandie/Harcourt

Wir haben 10 schöne Tage in der Normandie verbracht. Das Haus ist wunderbar eingerichtet und alles was man braucht ist da. Der Pool wurde jeden Tag genutzt. Harcourt war ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Von Étretat über Omaha Beach,Giverny oder Château Gaillard war für jeden etwas dabei. Wir sind auch mit dem Zug von Évreux aus nach Paris gefahren. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Urlaub!

Wunderbar

Wir hatten als Familie mit 2 Kindern (12 und 15 J) eine tolle erholsame Woche. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Der Pool ist super, man kann ihn sogar öffnen und ihn bei tollem Wetter offen nutzen und genießen! Die Vermieter/-in sind stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit bei allen Dingen. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Örtchen ist ganz süß und man kann von dort aus schöne Ausflüge machen. Es war wirklich eine sehr schöne Zeit!

A beautiful holiday in Normandy

Martine and Vincent are wonderful hosts and made our holiday a increadible experience. The house is a great place to be, along with the gorgeous garden. Our family found everything to relax and enjoy our stay (Pool, Playground, BBQ). Harcourt is perfectly located to start tours in any direction. Thank you for having us (also the nice restaurant recommendations). We will surely come back. Kind regards from Germany
