Velkommen til 3rd Ave South i Wedgewood Houston!

Vores hjem er i et roligt kvarter, beliggende inden for nem gåafstand af de afslappede og fine restauranter spisesteder, barer, caféer, bryggerier og destillerier af Wedgewood Houston. Vi er bekvemt placeret 5-10 minutter fra downtown Nashville med bil og 1. 3 miles væk fra lavere Broadway. Du kan nemt opleve alle de legendariske honky tonks uden al støj. Du kan også nyde parken direkte på tværs af gaden.

Vores hjem var designet med bevidsthed og komfort hos vores gæster i tankerne. Du får adgang til hele et niveau på 1200 m². Huset byder på masser af naturligt sollys, højt til loftet og et rent åbent rum. Hvert værelse er indrettet med en loftvifte, rigelig skabsplads og et spejl i fuld længde. Køkkenet er fyldt med de grundlæggende faciliteter til brug for kaffe og madlavning. Vaskemaskine og tørretumbler er til rådighed for gæsterne.

Døren betjenes med en personlig adgangskode. Du kan vælge den firesifrede kode, du synes om. Huset er udstyret med et smart TV, Apple TV og et Amazon Echo.

Rigelig parkering er tilgængelig langs gaden lige udenfor døren.

Great spot for a weekend

Stayed with family here ahead of the Packers v. Titans game. Was a decent walkor short uber into the action and the neighborhood has a coffee shop, bar and great Italian spot up the road.

Good Location

House if very convenient to the downtown area. Adequate space. Could use a little sprucing up and add a small table to eat at. Thanks for being a good host.

Birthday Getaway

Came in town for my husband's birthday and enjoyed our stay at this location. It was quiet but close enough to be anywhere downtown within 5 to 10 mins. We will be back to stay again.

What I expected

The property would benefit greatly by having a table to sit and eat at. I was aware of that by some of the previous reviews. Quiet street, adequate parking. House was comfortable enough for our needs

Cute and cozy

Overall our stay was good and the home was great for what we needed to have our Thanksgiving together. Just one little thing the microwave didn't heat up for leftovers the next day. Wasn't an issue as we were out and about that Friday. Would stay again

Good stay

It was a good stay everything was prepared andready, location is good. Little far for walking but you can grab a scooter or Uber rather quickly. The property was in good condition and clean, the hot water did fluctuate a bit. However, everything was in proper working order. I would recommend staying at this location ease of checkin was fast and not complicated. Good experience overall.

Toilet not bolted to the floor and moved significantly. Host said he would send a plumber to fix it the next day. Mold smellListing states there is an outdoor space, outdoor furniture, and a garden available; was inaccessible due to two large trees fallen across most of the backyard space. Host said he wasn't aware.Backyard only locked from the outside, not the inside - dangerous for the toddlers with us. In previous reviews host said it would be addressed. Listing says washer/dryer available, but washer doesn't work.Several hairs on the sheets and pillow cases. Host said the sheets were clean and that it could be the cleaner's hair.Stained mattresses, no mattress protectors. Host said he couldn't get us any until the night before we left. He suggested we use another sheet, which also were not clean. One bed just on a box spring on the floorRug in the room stainedKitchen sink handle broken offHost was responsive. Concerning that no one noticed these things before having paying guests stay here. Offered to have plumber come and look at the toilet/sink, but would've had to worry about someone in the house with our stuff. Disappointing given that we really liked the space. Mostly using house as a place to sleep so we were uncomfortable with the dirty mattress/bedding. Asked for a refund for the almost 1000 we paid and were told by the host that we would not be issued one. Stayed at a hotel instead. Wish we could upload more pics

I had never stayed with VRBO before so I didn’t know what to expect. The pictures were completely accurate. The house is very comfortable and plenty of room for 2 people. The home was clean and nicely furnished.The beds were very comfortable and slept great. Having the full size kitchen was a great option too. The only down side was took awhile for the water to warm and low water pressure for shower. The backyard is nice to sit outside but it needs a little maintenance. Overall we loved it and would definitely be back for sure! The little minor issues were more a small annoyance vs. being huge issues. 8.5/10 for overall

Nicely decorated house close to downtown

The house was great. There were minor issues we had like figuring out the fans and lights that didn’t always want to cooperate and there were no oven mitts for the oven. The beds were comfy enough and there was plenty of space. I would probably change out the black sink and toilet because they were pretty gross looking by the last day of our trip. The neighborhood was ok, close to some coffee and breweries but got a little sketchy the first two days as there were 4 cars that stayed in front of the house, coming and going very frequently with a group of 5 guys drinking and smoking but none of us were approached so no big deal. Overall great place to stay!

Convenient location

We found the area to be conveniently located to the major interests we had. The property is nice. It could use a little TLC (wobbly toilet, strobe lights in the laundry room, none of the lamps worked), but nothing that greatly inconvenienced us. It is clear from the pics, but apparently I overlooked the fact that there is no kitchen table. There is a small table in front of the tv, but more than 2 people can't eat there. There's also no toaster if you plan to do the quick kid breakfasts!

A few issues, okay stay.

House was okay, neighborhood, close to Broadway area. However, back door lock was not so secure, we put a broom against the door at night. No kitchen table, toilet leaked. Had to wait for hot water in shower to get hot and with 4 people if you were not the first to shower it got cold fast. No hot water in the kitchen. Welcome packet in a cabinet, found it on the last day of our stay. Had trouble locking front door with code. Owner was very nice. Our stay was not bad despite these small issues.

Filthy and poor communication

I have been renting out homes for all of 10 years and I have never witnessed a home so dirty. There were nice trinkets around the home which is what initially caught my eye when booking. However, the walls had dirt and grim, the bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived, the kitchen had old food stains on the appliances, the black rug in the living area had blonde human hair all over, buttons on the remote to the tv did not work, and everything was very dusty. I did not feel safe having my 14 month old touching anything. I called the manager and he told me he would return my cleaning deposit and send a cleaning lady out. The cleaning lady came back to only clean the bathroom and I never received my cleaning deposit back. After he verbally agreed to return it. To put a cherry on the top, I was there for a wedding and the morning of, there was no hot water to take showers. I had an awful experience in this home and wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone else.

Letdown Gently

The home and the aesthetic that was desired by the owners, was noticed. Unfortunately, there is a large discrepancy in execution. Upon walking into the property, we were smacked in the face with the smell of mold and/or mildew. This smell permeated from the bathroom and the mildew buildup in the shower where the shower wall met the tub. Though the smell was deeply engrained in all fabric surfaces (couches, towels, bedding, etc.). Every wall needs a fresh coat of paint. Every wall had dirt and grime. The home needs to be professionally cleaned. It appears only a light cleaning is performed after guests. This was noticed on the back window sill where a spider web with hundreds of dead bugs, are still on display. Along with the bathroom mirror having water spots and many other surfaces showing signs of not being properly cleaned. The shower was either scalding hot or ice cold. There is no in between as it appears the technological water heater could not keep up. And it would be great to have lighting strong enough in the bathroom, to allow guests to see themselves in the shower. The beds are hard as bricks and lacking the slightest hint of comfort. There are also many wooden surfaces where nails are protruding and could hurt someone. This home could be great. It needs some serious attention to details and a very deep cleaning.

Loved this little house! Nicely decorated, very welcoming. Good location, close to downtown, but not in downtown. No crowd, very quiet. The host was communicative & helpful with local recommendations. Super comfortable mattresses. Nice sized rooms. Only downsides were the washer was not usable, the hot water takes a bit to warm up, & the backyard has been neglected. But, even with those minor things, we plan to stay there again soon. We had an excellent stay.

The home was perfectly acceptable for its price and ease of access to downtown. We had some trouble getting reliable hot water. A table and chairs would be an asset as well.

We should've left as soon as we realized the overgrown grass/weeds/trees were used to disguise the rundown house and sketchy neighborhood. The stairs were breaking and had an electric wire running across them and the sidewalk making the entire entrance a hazard. Inside the smell of mildew, scuffs on the walls and dust in corners made it clear there was not much clean up in between guests. The entire listing was misleading or false. The one bed was on the floor not on a frame as pictured and there were no toiletries provided except the empty bottles from the last guest. The dish soap and hand soap provided were the same liquid but were neither dish soap or hand soap. The ad states it is ready for 6 , but there were not enough towels for 4 and no way to wash what was provided because the washer we paid to use was broken. The kitchen was supposed to be furnished for use, but there were only 3 forks total. We also paid for a private back yard which was unavailable due to a fallen tree covering the yard, furniture, and the roof. At the very least it was a false advertisement and at worst a fire hazard. The host made no effort to let us know about any of the changes/ommissions. The AC was broken or remotely accessed and would be raised to nearly 80 degrees everytime we turned around. The TV remote worked when it wanted. We tried to text the host to see what needed to be done upon checkout and never heard from him. We will never be back and would not recommend.

We did not feel safe in this home. The back door had no dead bolt, only a questionable lock. No outdoor lighting and just 2 blocks away were coiled barbed wire on the tops of fences. We contacted the host and never heard back from him/her. My main complaint is the lack of communication from the host. There were other factors that felt the place was not described accurately for example no table and chairs to eat from.
