Nyd det familievenlige samfund East Point i nærheden af byen Onancock, Va. Du er velkommen til at bruge vores to kajakker på din egen risiko til at opdage bugten. Vores hjem har 3 soveværelser, 2 badeværelser og et tre-sæsonværelse, der har en udtrækssofa. Veranda og bagudgang med masser af siddepladser. Stort barværelse, der har et bord med plads til 6. Der er også et formelt bord i stuen med plads til 6 også. Dette hjem ligger lige overfor East Point Marina med fantastisk udsigt over vandet og solopgang.

The Farmhouse

We enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse! The owners were great to communicate with, they give wonderful advice of things to do and places to eat on the Eastern Shore! We would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area!

Vintage Beach Cottage by the Bay

Spacious well-equipped cottage including the kitchen. You will find everything that you need for your stay was provided. The owner (Colette) was readily available and very helpful during our stay. Our grandchildren loved the beach and were really excited to catch blue crabs. The neighbors are very friendly and made us feel right at home.

What a wonderful property for families and friends to get together. There are plenty of things to do here plenty of things to do nearby. Easy check in and check out, the nearby private beach was small but lovely, the home had just about everything you could want and plenty of spaces for people to spread out. We would have taken advantage of the kayaks and bicycles had we encountered better weather, but there was still enough to do here and nearby for everyone in our group. Thanks again for being such great hosts!

Charming Cottage

Very charming, very comfortable and well equipped. The owner has thought of everything to make our stay easy. A very quiet neighborhood across from marina. A good base to explore the area -- art galleries in Oconocock, Chincoteague and Cape Charles. Wonderful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the East Point Farmhouse. The house was very clean and well equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and is beautifully decorated with so many little "details" and a lot of nostalgia. We just loved it! We enjoyed exploring Onancock and the surrounding area and sampled some very good restaurants close by. Communication with our host was great! Thank you, Colette!

This is a beautiful house with spacious rooms and classic furniture (and the host was quick to answer questions). It has a real nice kitchen, washer & dryer, and two bathrooms, so the six of us were quite comfortable. Totally safe, it feels kind of like staying at your grandmother’s house. I loved just sitting on the shady front porch with the breeze coming off the water, looking at the boats in the marina. We had a great vacation with this house as our base. We drove around the peninsula looking at historic buildings (identified in a book on the coffee table), eating at a seafood restaurant, and seeing the historic town of Cape Charles and its beach. We took the Joyce Marie II out to Tangier Island. We went to the town of Chincoteague and Assateague National Seashore. And we just enjoyed each other’s camaraderie in a beautiful setting.

Thanksgiving Stay in East Point

Our family had a great time staying there for Thanksgiving. The house was charming and beautifully decorated in the style of the Eastern Shore. Plenty of space to hang out or spread out! The kids really loved the Turtle Room We would certainly stay here again!

A great base for a tourist!

I came into town for a bike tour and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the beautiful scenery, and being able to visit different places up and down the Eastern Shore.

First time to Onancock

Charming, spacious home. Very well stocked and comfortable across road from small marina. We loved walking around the neighborhood and to the private community beach. This is a hidden gem. Peaceful and relaxing. We plan to return.

Lovely home and amazing owner

3 friends and I stayed there for a fishing trip in July. House has everything you could possibly need. Owner is super responsive and very helpful. We highly recommend and will probably visit again!

Amazing Vacation Getaway

Wonderful Getaway!

My husband and I loved our stay at the Whimsical Cottage. We enjoyed the eclectic touches in each room. The view from the porch of the marina/water was beautiful. The beach was around the corner, an easy walk or bike ride. Again, beautiful views. The hosts are so friendly, helpful and went out of their way to welcome us. The town is small and cute. We enjoyed walking around. Highly recommend this cottage. We hope to be back (and try their other rental as well). Only minus is the iffy internet at times, but who really needs the internet when you are surrounded by such natural beauty!!

Loved it

We loved it. A very quiet area with a beautiful view of the marina. Kayaks were fun as were the bicycles. the dart board was a nice addition. Colette responded quickly to any concerns. Do be prepared for no internet or cable TV. We will definitely go there again.

Loved this place

This delightful house exceeded our expectations. It was charming and comfortable, well located (quiet neighborhood but interesting scenery in the form of the marina across the road), and full of options for leisure, entertainment, and recreation! In between our day excursions in the area, we enjoyed taking out the kayaks and the bikes, sitting on the screened porch with tea or wine and looking out at the water, and walking over to the small private beach around sunset as recommended. The wi-fi worked great and we watched a couple movies as well. We felt right at home. Would definitely recommend to friends and would stay again!

Beautiful get away with the nicest people

Absolutely loved it! So relaxing and peaceful! What a gorgeous old farm house with all of the essentials to relax and enjoy! They have kayaks and bikes for the outdoors ! Games , cornhole, music, dvds and a beautiful kitchen to cook in! If you feel like cooking up some crab they have a fabulous crab pot you connect to a bbq propane tank so you can cook it outside and have yourself a crab boil! If you don’t want to go far they have a private beach the sand is wonderful I can walk without water shoes just beware the pine cones they are a little spikes very different from NY . Make sure you catch the sunset absolutely breathtaking and you can catch the sunrise by the beautiful dock in front of the house! The owners are wonderful and available for recommendations for restaurants or any other adventures are your list! We loved Bizottis and ate there twice! Maurice’s was very goo I loved the crab/lobster bisque and don’t forget the octopus so good! And if you have a sweet tooth if I could bring a whole cake home I would it’s a crème brûlée cheesecake omg unbelievable! Enjoy and go visit but better hurry they will probably book up fast!

AMAZING, WARM, HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We needed a restful place to get away since we are taking care of our 94 year old mother with dementia and work is extremely stressful at this time. What a beautiful home, so warm, so cozy and something interesting in every corner! We asked our friends to come over to visit one day since we have been unable to be together for some time (they have a place at Trails End in Horntown). My friend was extremely impressed by the Farmhouse décor, we marveled at the beach and seashore items in every corner, we LOVED it! We only had the weekend and I told her I was thrilled to stay in such a gorgeous home – filled with antiques and collectables, looking out over the water. Without even going out there are so many unique items to see! We love museums and felt as if we were privileged to live in and leisurely investigate all the many priceless artifacts. Collette was such a gracious host, making sure we had all we needed. Bikes and kayaks were provided, a welcome book detailing all the local sites and best places to eat, nothing was left undone. I want to thank Colette and Larry for opening their home to us – you have done an amazing job! What an extremely helpful and gracious host - they clearly love what they do in providing such a welcoming “home away from home!”

Nicely renovated Eastern Shore Farmhouse

Colette was a great host. She provided us with a wealth of information on the area including eating and drinking establishments and things to do. The house is in the waterfront community of East Point convenient to Onancock. Easy day trips to Cape Charles and Wachepreague. The house overlooks the community marina with great views. There is also a community beach with beautiful sunsets. I would certainly recommend the house for a stay on the ESV.

Beautiful

Onancock is beautiful and very relaxing.. we slept better than we have in a long time. The clean, pure air alone is a relief. The house is a gem. City people needing a break can experience the stars again, and yes clean air, plus quiet but for sounds of the surf. Nice, decent, down to earth people in Accomack County will look you in the eye and say “good morning”. Took me off guard at first. Onancock and Accomack county, I hesitate to even write this review because I don’t want the rest of the world to see it and come and spoil you. But if you want to breathe clean air, listen to nothing but surf, stay in a comfy house, get to know the stars again and be amongst people who look each other in the eye and say “good morning”, this is the place to be

I enjoy the ease of walking/biking the neighborhood during the day. It is friendly, and has a campground feel to the neighborhood. Enjoy watching the stars, rocket launches from the house. Once you get in, you want to relax and enjoy the area.

We want your family and friends to enjoy their time together in our home. We know you might spend your time at the beach, but we also encourage you to feel comfortable when you are in our home and community. Let us know if you have any questions during your stay! Enjoy the local watermen as they depart and arrive in the Russell Marina, which is directly across from the house. We also have a small community beach to relax with the family. Our property is easy to take strolls around the neighborhood, enjoy a bike ride, or take the kayaks on the water and enjoy the sunshine. Feel free to bring your fishing poles out on the kayaks to catch some local fish. We have great sunrises and sunsets to enjoy as well.
