Perfect Location

Not only was the apartment as lovely as advertised, the location was perfect for access to all the main sources of transportation in Lyon. If available, we would stay here any time we are visiting beautiful Lyon

Beautiful Apartment Lyon

We spent 9 nights is this lovely apartment which was light and bright, well appointed in every way and a great location. The owner was very helpful and responded when necessary.

Super and with clim

We stayed in Lyon during the recent heat wave, and we were glad to come back to air conditioning and the lovely little appart. Recommend highly. Everything you need. Easy walk from the train station.

Wonderful apartment, could accommodate a family of 4 or five, which is a great thing. Aware that elevator not reliable.For cleanliness, couch full of crumbs on the creek between the pats, we wore socks in the places for couples hours, and we got full of hairs on ours socks, utensils have fingerprints all over, one pot we took it out and still has food sticks to it. Water kettle has white stuff from hard water in it, so I cleaned it, and it can be clean of.Again wonderful apartment, good layout. But quite dirty.

Clean, quiet, cool, the aircon was much appreciated. Kitchen was very functional and the washing machine very efficient. The iced water function on the frig was great. The lift was a tight squeeze but we were able to fit us both in with our suitcases. I am recovering from spinal surgery however I could manage the stairs if I took things slowly. Convenient public transport and supermarkets. Hostess was helpful .

Great position

Great apartment, air conditioner was very welcome because of the very hot weather. Had nearly everything we needed. A microwave would have been great, and it is a shame the back garden area was unusable. What a great area if all the residents got it tidied up. A top sheet would have been great as the duvet was too hot.

Nice apartment, building is sketchy though

The apartment is very nice and well furnished. The building doesn't match the apartment though. it's old and run down, the front door works only half of the time so at least a homeless person was sleeping in the foyer. The elevator is *EXTREMELY* small, so prepare accordingly or practice your stair walking. The bed is a *small* double, but the shower is big for these types of places. Overall a nice experience.

The apartment was clean and tidy and just the right size. The bedroom alcove was cozy, the kitchen was just enough to be able to cook simple meals, and the living space was spacious and comfortable. The oven was a bit tricky to figure out, but we did finally manage. Heating worked well. The neighborhood is not the most charming, but it was very quiet, safe, and we finally figured out the 7 minute walk to the train station which was amazingly convenient for our side trips to various places in the region. Also the bus station is right behind the train station so we used that as well. Once we had our transit pass, we could take the bus from Cours Lafayette which was only a 3 minute walk from the flat. There were 2 organic supermarkets within walking distance, and the bus line took us directly to Les Halles Paul Bocuse where we ate amazing food! The hosts were very communicative and kind. We loved our stay here - it was a perfect situation for us.

Wonderful experience

We were so happy with our stay in Lyon. It was our first time there so we had lots of question and our hosts were so gracious in answering and gave us confidence in our travel plans even which exit to take out of the train station! And yes it is very close to the Part Dieu station, a wonderful feature. It was also close to 2 grocery stores that we used daily. The apartment was spacious for the 4 of us and close to public transit to the old town though one day we did walk it. We found it a little far to walk both ways. There was even an elevator to use, very helpful for people with ability issues or heavy luggage. Though the elevator was small, many apartments in France only have stairs! Thank you Both William and Augustina for your hospitality.

Abundance of natural sunlight and equally warm and friendly hosts

I sincerely enjoyed my stay at William and Augustina’s place in the La Part Dieu district of the city. The apartment was extremely clean and filled with an abundance of natural sunlight, due to two large skylights. It’s on the top floor and is quiet. It’s also only a short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the main train station of Lyon, which is an asset both for quick and easy access to the metro and trams, but also the nation’s rail system — which is an asset for weekend getaways or day trips. It’s also walking distance to a large shopping district, grocery stores, pharmacies and Halles de Lyon-Paul Bocuse. As hosts, William and Augustina were professional, attentive and communicative. Once they understood that I was visiting Lyon to study French, they left me several books to help with my studies and recommended a couple of groups with which I could practice my French.

What you see is what you get...

A nice apartment in a quiet neighbourhood. That's what I was looking for this time around in Lyon and found it. With the central station (5 min) and Le Part Dieu commercial center (10min) at walking distance it's a perfect central location to plan your daily itinerary. On days that you want to avoid the busy central station area, it's a short walk to the C3 bus line which will take you to the downtown area. Les Halles Paul Bocuse is one of the C3 line stops and a must visit when in Lyon for foodies. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, has a good warm shower and comfortable bed. Connecting to WiFi was easy and the speed is good if you're used to streaming services. Contact & communication with the hosts Augustina & William was easy, timely, informative and friendly. I couldn't ask for more. I'll be back at some point in time and already know where I'll stay.

Manque de communication avec le gérant Clim qui crache des glaçon pendant la nuit quand il pleut à l’extérieur malheureusement il pleut aussi dans la chàmbre donc sur nous pendant que nous dormions l’ascenseur on dirais une tombe bref je déconseille fortement

Et les problèmes que vous listez, vous avez dû les imaginer... En revanche, vous avez oublié de préciser l’état dans lequel vous avez laissé l’appartement, le radiateur de la salle de bain allumé à fond, la fenêtre laissée ouverte, la vaisselle pas faite, une propreté illustrant très bien la personne que vous êtes.

Super séjour !

Excellent séjour dans ce super appartement. Tout le nécessaire est disponible. Le seul petit bémol était peut être la température mais il s’agissait de la semaine la plus froide sur Lyon! Très bien situé dans un quartier très calme et familier, à distance à pied de la gare, des transports (C3 à proximité), de Villeurbanne et de Lyon 3 et 7. Excellente et rapide prise en charge par les hôtes. Très recommandé!
