So Kenneth, you never entered the condo!!! That is a shame that you had the nerve to rate a one star without entering much less staying there. To address your comments about the chairs, deck and umbrella: the colorful chairs are there; the umbrellas are on the deck for the guests to put up as needed because with te high winds, they can not be left on their stands; the gate, decking and rails are repainted often because on a barrier Island, they do require regular sprucing up. They were all repainted with $88/gallon paint. Two years ago. If you have ever owned property on a barrier Island, you know that it is near impossible to be first tier or on the water and be able to keep it looking freshly painted at all times. My housekeeper told me that she could tell that no-one had been there and I sent you a message asking if you were okay!! I will be willing to bet for the price you paid, you will not find a nicer place for that cost on the Island. We realize that it is not brand new but offer an affordable, Clean, cuter and cozy vacation home for others to be able to stay longer and come more often at our prices!

Thank you for your review along with explanations of why you. Rated your stay. So low. As an owner of a short-term rental, it is impossible for me to know these things without you letting me know. I purchased the recliner and chair new just a couple of years agofew ago but had no idea they were ready for replacement so soon. The towels smelling of cigarette smoke is unacceptable and I spoke to my housekeeper today and she had a reason, But that is unacceptable and I assure you it will not ever hauahain. Unfortunately not all guests do a great job of cleaning and organizing the drawers or take care of the pots and pans provided. I went down and added two additional frying pans. Spring and summer are a very busy time for us and the housekeepers who do their best to provide a clean and comfortable place for our guests. I am sorry you were not pleased but am sure that most people in our price range realize that it is not a new home and I have never had such. A poor rating. Perhaps you would be happier in an higher priced home that is brand new? If I had known about the towels while you were there, I would have insisted the housekeeper brought in morel. PhyllisCLindsey

Brett, I was expecting a bad review from you as I could tell from your attitude each time we communicated that you were a defensive guest that could not be pleased! I only purchased the upstairs condo in 2019 and if you would have taken the time to read the description, you would have known. That the unit is still under renovation and each issue was addressed. The pictures are from a year ago not ten. I explained that the unit price was reduced due to cosmetic repairs that are being done. We had all of these repairs scheduled to be done when Covid hit. After that time, Contractors could not come in and renters were not allowed. The condo is clean, cute and cozy as described. My housekeeper charges a pet fee which you tried to get out of paying , there is a leash law on the Island and you didn’t obey, which caused an attack with another dog,, the description of the property tells that you are only renting the upstairs condo. You would not be accepted as a guest in my condo because of your lack of respect for my rules and the Island rules and your attitude when communicating. We offer an affordable place for families that love the Island and understand that WiFi and other amenities are not always available on a barrier island.
