Property was convenient, well stocked, very clean, and comfortable. Host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We (4) stayed 4 nights and this Canmore house was a great home-base to visit Banff and surrounding areas. Only downside is if you are a light sleeper, the trains are loud and often.

Canmore Stay

Conveniently, located in Canmore, everything in walking distance. Condo was well equipped and clean, with a great view of the mountains. Really enjoyed my stay.

Great weekend retreat

We found the Nest was very clean and well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great and provided easy access to downtown and all the amenities. Will definitely be back.

Love this place!

Excellent. The condo was exactly as marketed. The coffee machine was so good I barely ever bought coffee out. The windows and drapes could adjust so that I could be living above a physio and alcohol store and across from a grocery store and not see them only mountains. It was the best. Was quiet and convenient. Highly recommended

First trip to Canadian Rockies

We loved staying at Magpie’s Nest. The property was the perfect size for our family of four, and was clean and comfortable. Canmore is a lovely town and the condo was close to town center, allowing us to walk while exploring. Canmore is also a nice centralized location when exploring Banff and Yoho. We will be back. Thank you so much.

Very relaxing

The location was perfect for a relaxing week in the mountains. The convenience of shopping and areas for walking the dogs more than outweighed the slight inconvenience of the train noise. All of the extras in the kitchen made for a very " at home " experience and the espresso machine was a huge hit.

Magpie’s Nest - Best vacation choice!

We go on a weekend getaway with or friends every winter. We have usually just stay in a hotel. This year we chose this wonderful place. Everything about our stay was perfect! The host was wonderful to deal with as well as quick to answer any questions. The condo was a game changer for us all. It was great to be able to have morning coffee, cook some great meals, play games and enjoy a beautiful view with close friends. We just can say enough about Magpie’s Nest it had pretty much everything you would need it felt like we were in our own homes. Beautifully decorated and well taken care of. It will be first on our list for next year’s trip. Dugas/Dickie

This is a perfect and spacious place! Super clean, well stocked kitchen (with a good coffee machine and local coffee beans provided!) and the location is very convenient. In town, grocery store across the street and walking distance to trails, shops, bars and restaurants. We used the BBQ on the deck, and this was the best view we ever had during a BBQ! We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Great location to downtown Canmore! Very clean, comfy mattresses, and enjoyed the espresso coffee maker! Could have used a few more kitchen utensils and a working air conditioner. Having windows open at night cooled things off, but the train noise was a little loud.

A room with a view

Magpies Nest is a beautiful two bedroom condo. The bed mattresses weren’t to everyone’s liking. My eighty year old sister slept in a recliner. The kitchen was equipped with most essentials. It would have been nice to have an ice cream scoop and directions on how to use the fancy coffee machine. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

Summer Getaway

Overall we rate the property high. The location was excellent. There were dust bunnies under both beds which led to a lower cleanliness rating. We ran out of kleenex with no replacement in sight. Toilet paper short in supply too. We recognize it was warm weather during our stay but the air conditioner was inadequate. Both bedrooms were very warm for sleeping.

Great place to stay for our ski trip.

Great place to stay in Canmore. We were able to walk anywhere in the city we wanted to go and easily drive to access the 3 nearby ski resorts. Loved the condo, well equipped and clean. We’ve stayed in Banff and Canmore for skiing and I think we prefer staying in Canmore even though the drive is a little farther to the resorts. This is a great place for a couple or two to stay and access everything the area has to offer.

Appartement très bien situé, on part à pied pour visiter le centre-ville! À quelques pas de l’épicerie, pharmacie, etc.Très propre et la cuisine comporte tout le nécessaire. J’ai apprécié la qualité de la batterie de cuisine. Les propriétaires ont la gentillesse de fournir le café et les produits Rocky Mountain pour se laver. Malgré les commentaires précédents, l’endroit est tranquille. Communication facile et rapide avec le propriétaire. Je le recommande fortement!

Canmore is lovely

The nest in the Rockies is exactly that! My husband and I and our great friends Kevin and Susan, came here to see Banff Park. We were up early, hiked most days and it was wonderful to come back to the nest, have a nice fire and dinner to doit again the next day! The kitchen was well stocked, laundry room we put to terrific use and the location fantastic! So convenient and beautiful. Will definately be back!

My name is Rob, and my wife is Martine. I came to the Rockies for a summer camp in 2000 and 2001. I immediately fell in love with the area. I took my wife on a road trip in 2004 and she had the same reaction. It took us 10 years to finally leave the province of Quebec and cross the country with our 3 young children to start a new life in Canmore. Since 2014, we call it home. We love to explore those mountains by foot. We’ve scrambled a few of them and are always looking for new peaks to explore. We now have a furry friend that follow us everywhere, Bernie. You can see him on some pictures. We’ve been sharing our passion for the mountain with our guest since 2015. It’s been an incredible journey that brought us to meet some amazing people.

We wanted to have a property downtown, near all the action. This property offers great view of the mountain, is located in a quiet building and is in a perfect location. Walking distance to groceries, restaurants, pubs, local shops and sports centre. We’ve put a lot of time to make sure this unit meets all your needs.

We offer a local experience with Rocky Mountain Soap Company shower product. We provide locally roasted coffee from Mountain Blend Coffee Roasters. We brew it with our Saeco Moltio automatic coffee machine. Espresso or standard, pick your strength and enjoy!
