Favorite retreat spot

This was our fifth year at this property for a writers' retreat, and it's simply the best - a lovely old farmhouse with an incredibly well equipped kitchen for cooking meals, loads of space, big tables for writing, a basement gym with plenty of equipment & weights for a solid workout, a hot tub, and the cutest little coffee shop within walking distance, too. Already looking forward to next year!

Beautiful home, Awesome hosts

The house was great for our group of 14 - plenty of bedrooms, dining areas, living rooms, space in the yard, and parking. All spaces are well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The firepit out back was a great touch and we spent a couple of evenings out there. The Vermont Escapes team was responsive, provided clear instructions and a nice welcome basket!

Great house. We had 12 adults and there was more than enough room. The house has an old world quaint atmosphere that was both interesting and comfortable. We will definitely come again and I recommend it highly.

Multi Family Getaway

My family, my sisters family, and my parents for a total of 11 people ranging from teenagers to retired. What a wonderfully spacious place! Tons of room for everyone to not trip over each other and a fantastic kitchen to feed us all weekend! Great places for family game or movie night. We do recommend a visit.

Homey holiday weekend!

Had a wonderful "Friendsgiving" weekend at the Red Brick Retreat! The home was well thought out with assorted kitchen items, household supplies, games & even some instruments that really added a ton for our group. Rooms + beds were comfy & clean & there were plenty of bathrooms to go around. Massive dining area was able to accommodate our large meals & plenty of cozy common areas to lounge around & watch tv. Hot tub was a slam dunk, sauna was a bonus & there was plenty of area outside to roam on our snowy weekend. Host was responsive & helpful throughout! Recommend!

Awesome House, Awesome Host

We had a blast at Red Brick Retreat! We had a nice fire in the firepit out back, used the hot tub which was great on the cool evenings, made fresh coffee every morning in the gourmet kitchen, and took advantage of the two dining rooms and two living rooms with our large group. Dave was responsive, provided great recommendations, and was proactive in his communication. We stay at red brick every year, and we’ll keep coming back.

Great place to connect.

Our group had a great stay at the Red Brick Retreat. The home was large enough for our bigger group but allowed us to all connect while not feeling cramped. The classic Vermont home has unique elements including a great fireplace insert, sauna, and hot tub. The host was great, responsive, and made the entire process simple. We look forward to booking again in the future.

Perfect house for a writing retreat

Just enjoyed our third week at Red Brick Retreat for what's become an annual writing retreat, and I can't say enough about this property. We love the huge common spaces with recliners and big wooden tables for writing, the wonderfully equipped kitchen, terrific hot tub, fire pit, and well equipped exercise room in the basement. Also ponds. With frogs. Perfect.

Awesome winter trip.

Awesome trip for a big family. All rooms were heated enough for everyone to be comfortable. Very spacious that everyone can move around without bumping into one another. Big kitchen with almost everything you need. Grocery store in literally 3 mins away with everything you might need. Definitely a older house, but we loved it. Plenty firewood for winter time. Host provided everything we would need to not be a bother. I believe we got in on the first snow, so we were able to do a little snow sledding in the back :). We left two sleds for the next guests. Enjoy!

Fantastic Place - Great Host

Came here with 16 people to celebrate a close friend getting engaged. The accommodations were spacious, and there were plenty of bends for all who came. Additionally the kitchen was fantastic for feeding everyone. Dave was great the whole time, and I look forward to coming back one day. Best, William

Red Brick Retreat

We came to the red brick retreat to do our annual fantasy football draft. The house is amazing! There was plenty of room for our group and we loved the sauna, hot tub, and gym downstairs. Everything was in awesome condition and Dave was super easy to work with. We would absolutely come stay again!

Perfect spot for a retreat

Our second visit to Red Brick Retreat with a group of women writers was just as perfect as the first. The list of things to love about this place is long - a huge living room with eight recliners, lots of tables and desks for writing, a great fitness room for morning yoga & workouts, lovely outdoor spaces including a hot tub, fire pit, and frog-filled pond, and a the best equipped rental house kitchen I've ever seen. We'll be back!

Perfect for a big group!!

We had a wonderful time at this house. It's well equipped for a big group and had just about everything we needed! There is one room in that house that doesn't have doors, just curtains, so that was the only negative thing I'd have to say. Otherwise, the house was incredible, clean, comfortable, and just a really, really great place to spend the weekend with a big group of friends and family!!

Incredible home, incredible hosts!

The property is gorgeous. We particularly like the large open kitchen and multiple living rooms where our group can really spread out and always be comfortable. The hot tub addition made the outdoor areas even better! The hosts have always been responsive, they stock the house with all the necessities (and plenty of nice-to-haves), they respond quickly to any inquiries, and make things easy. This is our fourth year renting from Vermont Escapes. We’re already planning to return next summer.

Great for a large group ski trip!

We stayed at David's property for a long weekend at the end of March with a group of 15 adults and a toddler. This house was perfect for our group's needs. The main floor is huge and open, so folks can be doing their own thing without missing out on plans or group activities. Rooms and amenities were exactly as described and the instructions were very clear. With 8 bedrooms we were able to fit our large group comfortably, which was incredible. Location-wise, the house is central to several towns and ski resorts, so we did not have to drive very far for anything. It is located off a main VT road as well, so there was no worry about steep hills and unplowed snow or ice. David was a proactive and timely communicator and made the planning process very simple. I have no complaints and would happily stay here again!

Amazing House For Yoga Retreat

In May 2023 I hosted a yoga retreat for 16 people. When we all arrived at the magical Red Brick Retreat everything fell into place perfectly. The house I rented from Vermont Escapes checked every box that I didn't even realize I had. Nothing was overlooked - giant communal spaces, heavenly beds, hot tub, sauna, amazing decor, beautiful nature, gourmet kitchen... it was Vermont at its finest. The house was very large and comfortable to fit a group with diverse needs. Our group can't wait to come back to the Red Brick Retreat next year. If you ever have any questions about hosting a group at the Red Brick Retreat please message me on Instagram @heidikassneryoga and I am happy to answer all of your questions or provide thoughts on things to do in the area.

A cozy retreat!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at the Red Brick Retreat. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we could ask for, including 2 waffle makers. The space was well maintained, even if some spaces are showing their age a little bit. Included firewood made the outdoor fire pit a great place to gather, and the games and entertainment systems were great. With all the options these days between cable and streaming services, navigating the proper inputs on some of the equipment was tricky, but we figured it out. :-) The electronic, full-size piano was nice surprise. This was more than enough room for our four families totaling 12 people. And the recommended catering of dinners from Jason made the whole weekend easy. stress-free, and DELICIOUS! Enjoy your stay!

Amazing Vermont getaway

Our family booked a late summer weekend at the Red Brick Retreat. We needed some rest and rejuvenation before the busy school year, and this stay exceeded our expectations! First, the host was highly accessible and provided all kinds of useful information (including advice about local running routes). Check in was easy, and the host answered a few small questions instantly. And the Red Brick Retreat is a memorable place with everything a family needs - and then some! From charming centuries-old rooms to a well-stocked gourmet kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and places to hang out, this house has it all. We also enjoyed the hot tub and gym, then relaxed in the loungers to watch a family movie. Although it was tempting not to leave the house, the local area is full of delights (food, farms, shopping, lakes, hiking). We brought home wonderful memories and appreciate being well taken care of during our last summer hurrah. Many thanks to the owners for a lovely experience!

Beautiful Home, Excellent Hosts

This is now the fourth time that my group has stayed at Red Brick Retreat for an annual get-together. We keep coming back because we absolutely love the home and the hosts. First off - the house is absolutely gorgeous. It feels exactly like it should - comfy and cozy, but with all the modern amenities. It has plenty of room for group gatherings, it is extremely well appointed, and has plenty of seats in various areas (firepit, fireplace, TV room, dining room, hang-out room), and you can always find an unoccupied area of the home (even with 15 people staying there!) if you want some quiet time to read a book or chill out. Every time we stay here, there's some new addition that makes the stay even better - two years ago they added seating around the firepit and a full-sized meat-smoker, and this year a hot tub which was great on the chilly Vermont evenings. The hot tub was a huge fan favorite for the group, and it tied in nicely to the gym and sauna in the basement. The hosts are great, too! Everything is clearly communicated in a timely fashion, they were quick to address any questions that we had, and they check in regularly to make sure everything is going smoothly. There's even a handbook for things to do in the area! They seem like they really care, and that makes all the difference in the world.
