Lovely stay

Great weekend stay in a beautiful area. House very convenient to walk to the beach or town and view from the balcony of the sea was fantastic.

Had a great stay, perfect location. Check in was easy, we had everything we needed. WiFi wasn't great though.

Lovely cottage in a good location

Great Short Stay

Everything you needed for a great, relaxing stay, in a great location - just park the car and forget about it ! Spectacular views from the decking over the bay.

Excellent accommodation - loved it!

So pleased with everything, the house is very child friendly and had everything you could need - plenty of room for everyone and an amazing deck area with such a beautiful view, great food locally too and all so child friendly, loved it and hoping to go back soon - thanks so much xx

Another Stay in New Quay

Once again we have visited New Quay and stayed in this cottage. Great location and the views from the cottage are great especially from the main bedroom. You must go on a boat trip and see the dolphins - fantastic

New Quay

We had a great stay. House was a little dated but everything that was needed was there.The walk up the hill from the harbour was a little taxing but the view from the house was superb.

Great Place

Great place clean and tidy with everything you need to enjoy a break - like most people have to mention the fantastic views from the main bedroom and the outside decking area - It was brilliant watching dolphins play and feed from our bed and then from the decking - Great place and location hopefully we can come back soon and create even more memories

Great place

This is a beautiful, extremely well equipped holiday home. The views are outstanding and the deck is a perfect place to enjoy some sunshine and a glass of wine. We spent a lovely morning dolphin spotting from the terrace.

New Quay

The cottage was more spacious than we expected and the views if the sea were fantastic from both the bedroom and decking. It was an easy walk into New Quay which has great beaches and a good choice of places to eat

Characterful Cottage

Wonderful cottage with fantastic decor. Near to all amenities. Well stocked with towels and kitchen utensils. Wonderful views at back with abundance of buddlia attracting bees and butterflies. Our grandchildren loved it and New Quay is a lovely setting. Had a great stay.

Great property

We booked the accommodation for a family wedding in Llanarth in June. The property is a short walk down to the harbour in New Quay and has everything you need for a family of 6. Views are amazing from the rear decking of the whole Ceredigion Bay.

Spectacular views

Garthowen is a lovely cottage in an ideal location in New Quay, within a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and main front. The cottage had everything that we needed for a lovely family break! The views over the bay from the decking area are great! We look forward to returning next year!

Great house near centre of New Quay

Slight issue with key collection but resolved within the hour. Other than that, we had a great stay. The house was more spacious than we thought it would be and was very well equipped with everything that we needed. Great view over the quay too!

Cosy cottage

Nice cottage near to centre ,plenty of room. Very clean,5minute walk to restaurants,pubs,beach Shop down the road for basics ,car park a bit further on. Everything you would need in the cottage ,heating system bit of a nuisance but not the end of the world,

Beautiful cottage with absolutely stunning views

We had a brilliant stay at the cottage. It was absolutely perfect for us. There is plenty of space and it is beautifully furnished. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and it has everything that you need. The decked area is just amazing and the views are stunning. Situated within easy walking distance of the shops and the beach, this really is an absolute gem. Thanks so much for letting us stay. We will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage. Clean, comfortable, spacious, with lovely views and terrace at the back The only down side is the busy road outside, with double yellow lines, and no parking very close. Couldn’t get the central heating to work

I am afraid the lack of parking is an issue in small sea side towns but as I mentioned in the acess information, generally there is not an issue if you pull up outside the cottage just to unload. I'm sorry about the heating, someone had overfilled the pellet hopper which caused a blockage in the feed pipe. I hope to welcome you back to Garth Owen soon.

What a wonderful cottage

This cottage is exactly as described and is beautifully furnished to a very high standard. We especially loved the enormous bean bag and comfortable sofas. The kitchen has everything you need but if I was being picky, I would have liked an extractor above the hob to help take away the smells of the cooking. The bedrooms and bathrooms are tastefully decorated and again had everything that you needed. The outside space to the rear of the property is to die for with stunning views over the bay. Unfortunately the weather was not nice enough for us to take advantage of it. My only negative, and the reason for only four stars is the noise from the road. I knew the cottage was situated on the road but I was not expecting the levels of noise from the amount of cars and passers by. It was like having the windows open. An obvious improvement would be to add double glazing to the front of the house which would help greatly. I live on a main road myself so I know that having double glazing makes a big difference to noise levels. To be fair, the fact that the property is on the road is probably reflected in the price. Overall we had an excellent weekend and would recommend the cottage to others.

Your comment about the noise from the street is totally justified, the double glazed windows are on order! They should have been fitted 2 weeks before your stay but unfortunately I'm still awaiting delivery. Hopefully next time you stay they will be installed and you will be able to give the cottage a 5 star review :)

Tolles Haus, das durch seine tolle Lage und die dazugehörigen Terrassen besticht. Das Haus ist wirklich groß und der Meerblick vom vorderen Schlafzimmer aus ist traumhaft! Die Nähe zum kleinen Supermarkt sehr praktisch.Spinnweben sind in so einem Haus sicherlich nicht zu vermeiden, aber sollten trotzdem von Zeit zu Zeit mal entfernt werden. Die Wohnzimmerfenster waren so zugesponnen, dass wir lieber über die Eingangstüre gelüftet haben. Der Küchentisch hat geklebt und auch unter den Betten sollte mal saubergemacht werden. Aber abgesehen von der Sauberkeit ist das Haus wunderschön und über die Milch, die schon im Kühlschrank auf uns gewartet hat, haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!
