Casa Berner, apartment in historic residence in the center of Pavia

Casa Berner is a modern and elegant apartment located on the second and top floor of a historic building in the center of Pavia. Cozy, comfortable, and highly functional, it is finished with great attention to detail and features high ceilings that create a bright and airy atmosphere.

The elevator reaches the first floor; to access the apartment, guests will need to take one additional flight of stairs, which are comfortable and equipped with a handrail.

The apartment measures approximately 90 sqm and includes a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living and dining area, one bedroom on the main floor, and one bathroom. It can accommodate up to 4 guests: on the upper level there is a second bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, which is made available for additional guests or when two guests prefer to sleep in separate rooms.

The apartment is furnished with high-quality materials and refined décor; for this reason, it is not suitable for small children.

The base price is for 1 guest.
Each additional guest is charged €25 per night (total €50 for 3 guests, €75 for 4 guests).
If two guests wish to use separate bedrooms, it is necessary to indicate 3 guests when booking, with a corresponding supplement of €50.

Layout and amenities

Ground floor bedroom: double bed, wardrobe, drawers, clothes rack, desk, antique herringbone parquet flooring, and Persian rug. Ensuite bathroom with sink, large shower, toilet, and bidet.
Upper floor bedroom: double bed, wardrobe, and ensuite bathroom with sink, shower, toilet, and bidet.
Kitchen: fully equipped with 320 L refrigerator, gas stove, extractor hood, and dishwasher.
Living and dining area: dining table (180 x 90 cm) for up to 6 people, sofa, armchair, and Full HD Smart TV.

The apartment includes high-quality linens, heating, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Wooden parquet flooring is present throughout the apartment, except in the bathrooms.

Location

Situated in the heart of Pavia’s historic center, in a pedestrian area, the apartment is just a short walk from the Cathedral (Duomo), the University, and Piazza della Vittoria, and is surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants, and cafés.

The property is located in a ZTL (limited traffic zone), so access by car is not permitted. Parking is recommended in the Oberdan area or along Viale della Libertà.

The apartment was as described and our host was prompt in answering any questions we had regarding the unit. We were attending a reunion of classmates who had attended the university of Pavia over 57 years ago, some elements of the city have changed but overall it seemed quite familiar. The apartment is centrally located with easy access to points of interest.

Apartment and location was terrific. However the noise level from street level kept us awake through the nights.

Casa Berner truly deserves five stars.The house is beautiful, comfortable, and very clean, with a lot of charm in its decorations. You truly feel at home the moment you arrive.The location is exceptional, right in the heart of the city, close to everything you might need, including a beautiful view of the Duomo and the historic district.I highly recommend it. The host is a very kind and nice person.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Berner! It is a beautifully decorated apartment with wonderful views of the Duomo, and provides lots of space between the two bedrooms and living room. The kitchen is particularly well-stocked so you can easily prepare your own meals. The apartment is also very centrally located, so we found we could easily walk everywhere in town. The host was incredibly accommodating and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. I would gladly stay here again!

Beautiful apartment in very centre of old town

We stayed in Francesca’s own apartment in the same location. We were visiting Pavia on a family holiday. It is a very comfortable and attractive apartment. It includes all conveniences and was very clean. It’s central location does mean that there is street noise at night. We knew from Francesca when we booked and it was not a problem for our stay. It is much quieter in the bedrooms which are a floor above the sitting room and at the top of the building. Francesca was a very helpful, reliable and responsive host. She was excellent. Pavia was a lovely place to visit and base ourselves for a week. The apartment is an easy 10-15minute walk to the train station. The main square and Duomo square are only a couple of minutes either direction from the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay in Pavia in Francesca’s property. Thank you Francesca.

L'appartement a répondu en tous points à nos attentes. Il est parfaitement situé pour la visite de la ville et l'équipement proposé nous a fait nous sentir comme chez nous. La propriétaire s'est montrée très attentive à notre bien-être. Nous avons été très satisfaits.

Magnifique et idéalement situé

L'appartement est encore plus beau que sur les photos et il est au coeur même de la ville historique. Nous avons passé 3 jours dans cet appartement aménagé avec goût, confortable et très propre. Nous avons pu profiter des belles places qui sont à 2 pas (bars, bons restaurants sympas et supermarché) et visiter Pavie à pieds. Même le trajet gare-appartement se fait à pieds en 10 minutes. De plus Francesca nous a réservé un très bon accueil : elle a été très prévenante et nous a donné de bons conseils. Nous avions même de quoi faire nos petit-déjeuners et même un petit repas. Brigitte e la sua famiglia hanno soggiornato nel mio appartamento per qualche giorno in agosto. La comunicazione è stata molto semplice fin dall'inizio fino alla loro partenza. Sono stati ospiti graditissimi, hanno rispettato senza problemi le regole della casa e l'hanno lasciata in perfetto ordine! Assolutamente consigliati! Spero di poterli accogliere presto ancora! Komfortables Appartement in zentraler Lage

Das Appartement entspricht ganz der Beschreibung, sehr zentral gelegen, schön eingerichtet und mit weit mehr als nur dem Notwendigen versehen (sogar mit Ohrstöpseln gegen den nächtlichen Lärm, der mit der zentralen Lage verbunden ist). Bei der Ankunft waren schon die Zutaten für das nächste Frühstück im Kühlschrank, wir fühlten uns wirklich willkommen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.

Beautiful apartment in a fantastic location

We had stayed in this apartment for ten days in early September 2017. The apartment was tastefully and comfortably furnished (including air conditioning) and was immaculately clean when we had arrived. Francesca was a very welcoming and an attentive owner who made sure we were comfortable and our stay there was as pleasant as possible. The apartment is very centrally located and ideal for shopping, local dining and sightseeing. It can get a little noisy at night from the local bars but no more than can be expected in any other central Italian city location. In conclusion, our overall experience was an exceptionally positive one and we highly recommend.

Beautiful property in great location

We stayed in Casa Mimma for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Francesca was responsive via emails prior to our stay and both her and her son who greeted us at the apartment on arrival were extremely helpful and friendly. Both speak excellent English. We appreciated her very thoughtful gesture of including a small amount of basic items such as milk, spreads, fruit and yoghurt. We needed to visit a smaller outlying village during our stay and Francesca helped us with arranging taxis. The apartment itself is well appointed and beautifully furnished. We only used the kitchen for breakfast and the occasional lunch, however it appeared to have what is required to make a meal. The beds and sofas were comfortable. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean. It is extrememly conveniently located just around the corner from the Duomo and the main piazza della Vittoria. All the sights were within easy walking distance. The apartment is a flat 800-900m from the train station and is an easy walk (straight pretty much all the way until the last turn at the end). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Francesca for helping us make our visit here so enjoyable!

Superb rental apartment in Central Pavia

The apartment was just redone and in the highest quality, with a large master bedroom, spacious closets, a second room for odds and ends, a washing machine, central location, quiet despite noise from university students. A excellent bathroom adds to the quality. The A/C was excellent; the hostess helpful with suggestions and comments about Pavia. The town itself is full of architectural churches from medieval and renaissance era, and was worth more than the three days we gave it. The Wikipedia Italiana has excellent entries on the buildings. Some very good restaurants with risotto a special local dish. A famous old city with marks of many centuries everywhere.

Casa vacanza top

In pieno centro, a due passi dalla stazione, comodo per raggiungere ogni posto della città, elegantemente arredato, confortevole e dotato di ogni confort. Meglio di un albergo a 5 stelle! E che dire della disponibilissima e gentilissima proprietaria!? Un sogno.

Beautiful apartment and a charming host

We have just spent a week in this recently renovated apartment in the charming university town of Pavia. Our host Francesca could not have been more helpful and friendly. She has provided everything one needs for making the place feel like home. It is both elegant and very comfortable. The location in the centre of the old part of the town was wonderful with the main square, the markets, and wonderful places to eat out all so close. Even the noise of happy students in the street at night did not spoil our stay. We would certainly stay again one day.
