Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the location, though we're sorry to learn that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the nearby construction, this was not a project affiliated with or managed by our company. As with many historic urban neighborhoods, Charleston occasionally has nearby renovation and redevelopment projects that are outside of our control. While we understand this can be frustrating, we are unfortunately unable to predict or control work taking place on neighboring properties. We also appreciate you bringing the hot water issue to our attention. We were first notified on the third day of your stay, and our team immediately began troubleshooting in an effort to restore service as quickly as possible. When those initial steps did not resolve the issue, we dispatched a contractor, who discovered that the exterior outlet supplying power to the water heater had been unplugged. Once it was restored, the hot water returned to normal. Had we been made aware sooner, we would have been happy to address it earlier in your stay. The carpenter bees referenced were active on the exterior of the home, which is not uncommon in our area during the warmer months. Some sawdust was able to enter beneath the exterior door sweep, and we have since inspected the area to ensure it remains properly sealed. Regarding the palmetto bug, these insects are native to the Lowcountry and, despite routine professional pest control, can occasionally find their way indoors, particularly during the summer months when doors are opened and closed. While we understand encountering one is unpleasant, it is unfortunately a reality of our coastal climate. Lastly, we appreciate your comments regarding the furnishings. We continuously inspect our homes and will review the areas you mentioned with our housekeeping and maintenance teams. We value all guest feedback and are always committed to responding promptly when concerns are brought to our attention during a stay so we have the opportunity to make things right in real time. We wish you all the best in your future travels.
