Beautiful home in a perfect setting.

You cannot find a better location on Cape Cod. Beautiful home within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape.

A wonderfully conscientious guest who took advantage of the Outer Cape's many natural ocean views, forests and wide open trails, and the welcoming charms of nights decorated by the heavens, deliciously clean well water after a day's hike, and quiet mornings filled with bird calls and songs. Beautiful and clean

The studio was as described and impeccably clean. Nice high-end touches throughout. Great location close to beautiful beaches on both ocean and bay. We enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful week

We had a wonderful time. It was so quiet and peaceful. The spacious screened in porch was most appreciated. The owners were lovely and very responsive.

warm and lovely

both the property and the owners were warm and lovely. the place has beautiful high wooden ceilings with an open floor plan, was spotlessly clean and well appointed. close to beaches and bike trail.

Peaceful house

We were so happy with our stay at this house. It is very well equipped with cooking equipment, clean and well taken care of. The beautiful Longnook Beach is a 3 minute drive and there are ponds and the Cape Cod Bay nearby. Highly recommended!

Great quiet place on the outer cape

Beautiful 2BR with full kitchen, great porch in a quiet neighborhood in Truro. About a 1 1/4 mile walk to Longnook beach. Very responsive and helpful hosts. Terrific.

Pristine Studio = great week!

Me and family loved it! The space is clean, well keep and feels new. Board games for kids was a nice touch, and being a mile from my favorite beach is fantastic. Owners are super responsive, friendly and extremely helpful!

Nature lover's dream stay

Nestled in the forest close to longnook, a multitude of birds songs would great us in the morning, even a deer would walk by while we're sitting quieting on the immersive screened porch. A lot of personalized charm in this nature lover's barn, a new post and beam structure with old charm. A soulful place.

Wonderful hosts. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped. The entire home was beautifully decorated and comfortable. You could see from the front living room through the kitchen-dining room to the screened porch. Very light and airy. Also had a lovely deck with potted flowers, a grill area and outdoor shower. The front and back gardens were lovely. Hopefully, will return next year.

High-Style Perfect Cape Getaway

Every amenity you could think of - including heated floors. Beautiful, immaculate, converted barn with very high ceilings, large open rooms, and furnished outdoor patio(s) We are serious cooks - even on vacation - and the kitchen was a chef's dream, complete with under counter lighting that supplemented modern track lighting. Very quiet as well.

Beyond wonderful!

Chris and Janie's studio provided us with the perfect off-season Cape Cod getaway! It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and furnished with every conceivable kitchen gadget one might need or find useful. We only wish that the weather had been warm enough for us to spend time on the deck or screened-in porch. This place is a true gem!

Our favorite vacation

Spent an amazing week at this warm and cozy home. Radiant heating, super comfortable beds, beautiful open kitchen and living room. We cooked all our meals here and everything you need and more is here. The owners, Jane and Chris live next door and they were the best! We ran into them a couple of times and they made us feel so comfortable here (and their dog Dakota). Even brought us fresh oysters they had harvested. We had great weather while we were here and biked and walked miles and miles through the National Seashore. Love this area and we are already planning our next trip here.

One week is not enough...

This is the fourth (or fifth?) summer we've stayed at Chris and Janie's place, and it's hard to imagine staying anywhere else. It has everything we want/need -- including the fantastic and large screened porch, where we work, read, eat, and generally loaf around, enjoying the quiet and looking at birds in the day and fireflies at night -- and Chris and Janie are lovely hosts. With the bedroom upstairs and the pullout futon in the living room, we were able to easily accommodate the rotating family and friends who visited with us this time around. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Terrific place to stay

We just returned from a week here and have only positives to report. Communication ahead of time was easy and prompt with the owners, Chris and Janie. They welcomed us warmly and responded very quickly to any questions during our stay, but were never intrusive. The Studio was immaculate, the furnishings were of excellent quality throughout and the kitchen included everything a cook could wish for. The screened porch is lovely; we spent much of our time there. It is an easy, pleasant walk to Longnook Beach and just a few minutes drive to our other favorite Truro beaches. We hope to return to this wonderful place!

A new treasure in Truro!

Truro is a special place for my family. My husband and I took a few days this fall to visit. We were very fortunate to be able to stay at the Studio. It is absolutely lovely, beautifully appointed with everything you would need for a peaceful respite as well a great central location for exploring Truro and surrounding towns and beaches of Wellfleet and Provincetown. Longnook beach, our personal favorite, is a short walk from the Studio. Janie and Chris are wonderful and welcoming hosts, prompt with logistics and available, if needed, for recommendations during your stay. We would love to return in the spring for another visit to Truro and stay at the Studio.

An excellent stay

We agree with all the prior reviewers: The house is handsome, spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and very well-equipped. Janie and Chris live next door and answered our questions quickly and cheerfully. At one point, Chris saw a light in the upstairs bedroom, guessed that one of us was using it as an office, and called to offer to haul a desk up from the basement. He was right, and both the desk and his thoughtfulness were much appreciated. In all, we had a wonderful week biking, walking, cooking, and gorging on seafood while keeping up with work. October turns out to be a great time to visit -- warm enough to be outdoors but with no crowds or traffic.

This place is special

We've stayed in the Studio several times over the last few years, and we feel lucky every time we're there. The open layout, cathedral ceilings, outdoor deck (with excellent gas grill), and huge screened in porch make the feel and functional space of the house much larger than it might appear from the outside. That screened in porch is the star of the show: we ate almost every meal out there, drank our morning coffee watching the birds and chipmunks in the woods, and had a bunch of friends over for dinner. The immaculate kitchen has tons of storage, all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you could possibly need, and considerate directions on how to use and maintain appliances. The place is immaculately clean and beautifully maintained, and I mean every corner, including the basement and outdoor shower. It's close to everything: ocean beaches, bay beaches, ponds, restaurants, and markets. There's even a little organic farmstand around the corner you can walk to in less than a minute. Janie and Chris are wonderful, kind, and responsive hosts. We almost missed out this year, which just about broke our hearts, but managed to slip in at the last minute due to a cancellation. For us, the Studio is the perfect place to decompress on the Cape.

Chris and Janie were so hospitable and kind. We LOVED the property and it was exactly what we were looking for. My husband, teen daugher, and her friend enjoyed the lanai, the porch, the outdoor shower, the full kitchen, and very comfy beds. The location was perfect, and we saw so many cute rabbits in the yard. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We've stayed at Janie and Chris's post and beam cottage many times, and we keep coming back. The outer Cape is a magical place, and if you're like us and want to experience that magic but minimize the summer Cape crowds, heading to North Truro is a great way to do it. The cottage feels intimate but is laid out in a way that makes hosting and entertaining easy: second bedroom upstairs, spacious, well-appointed kitchen, deck with gas grill, and best of all, a large screened porch with doors that open directly into the cottage. Highly recommended.

Fantastic retreat!

Quiet, peaceful setting. Warm, bright, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated interior. November weather was fantastic so we were able to take advantage of the various outdoor seating areas. Owners were lovely, unobtrusive but responsive to our requests. We highly recommend this wonderful “studio”!

Wonderful location in Truro

Wonderful location in Truro, about a mile from Longnook Beach. Very peaceful with easy access to Provincetown and Wellfleet. The house has an open floor plan on the first floor with high ceilings, ceiling fans, radiant heat and good lighting, and is comfortably furnished with a large screened-in porch and open deck. We are fans of Cape Cod in early October and once again we were not disappointed – it was sunny and in the 60s without too much traffic. Hosts are helpful and right next door if needed.
