Perfect house for a surf vacation

Casa Veranera served as the perfect house for a surf trip to Playa Grande. Short walk to the surf and restaurants. The pool was perfect for post surf lounging.

Loved our stay here in Playa Grande. The house was spacious and the location was excellent. Just a short walk to the beach and to the restaurants in town. Very clean and the AC was great and the private pool was the perfect way to cool down. Communication with the owners and manager was very easy. Really hope to come and stay again.

Beautiful home! We loved our morning coffee on the porch surrounded by fruit trees. Easy walk to the beach and all the restaurants. Bruce was very nice and responsive to our requests. Hope to be back in the future! Thank you!

Great stay!

We really enjoyed our time here! The house was very clean. The location was convenient with a short 5-minute walk to the beach and 2-minute walk to great restaurants. The host was very responsive and resolved a few minor issues within minutes!

Family Christmas trip

The house was perfect for our family. Clean and plenty of space. The pool is wonderful! The location is close to lots of restaurants and the beach that you can walk to.

Location! Location! Location!

This place is a gem! Such a beautiful beach within a few minutes walk! Playa Grande is gorgeous, spacious, with great surf! We had an incredible stay and felt so lucky to be there vs the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo! If you need to unwind and enjoy this is your place! Thanks again for having us.

Wow!

Highly recommend! Kimberly (the property manager) was so helpful (and an incredible chef). The house was clean, comfortable, and in such a great location! We brought our two year old and had an amazing experience. Definitely a great place to stay.

Beach

Lovely home, spacious.. we loved the verandas. Sipping morning coffee and listening to the waves. Pool was very refreshing.

Great family stay

This house was perfect for our family. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Playa Grande beach (which was rarely crowded for us), the pool was perfect, and the house was well taken care of/had everything we needed. We spent every morning eating breakfast on the porch and every evening swimming under all the great lights in the pool. The house is very well secured but the area also felt safe and was a quiet surfing town.

To be fair, I understand your reason for this review. But, we set up the group chat with our manager to deal with issues during your stay. Our manager doesn't get the chance to address your concerns if you tell us after you have left. We are glad you enjoyed the new pool area!

Costa Rica Rocks

My family and I stayed a week in this BEAUTIFUL house. Check in was a breeze and location is fantastic!! 2 min walk to the beach! We loved the pool area after a day at the beach.Just fyi, we shortened our visit by a day, as the trip to Liberia is not an hour guaranteed, as it’s one road to an from and we had an 8:00am flight, so we stayed in a hotel the last night. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!!

Great beach house in Playa Grande

Anyone looking for a house to stay in Playa Grande, I would highly recommend this house. Location - easy two minute walk to the beach, walking distance to some of the best food options in the area and.Property - great layout, spacious house with kitchen open into living area, great front porch and pool area. Plenty of privacy from road.Communication - owner and property manager set up group chat on WhatsApp and checked in regularly and responded to our questions asap

Great stay and vacation!

We had a great vacation and the house worked perfect for our family of 5. The pool was a huge hit at the end of the day being on the beach. Five minute walk to the best part of the beach for surfing and You Are Costa Rica (surf shop) is on the way to the beach so you can rent surfboards, surf lessons and exchange boards if needed-they were awesome to work with! Marienella, the property manager was super helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back for sure!

Fabulous home in Playa Grande

We stayed at Casa Veranera for 10 nights over Spring Break and had a fabulous time. The house is great, the location just a few minutes from the beach and close to the restaurants and mini mart. We did not have a car but Kimberly arranged a driver (Alejandro) to pick us up from the airport which was great. Kimberly cooked a meal for us and our friends that was incredible. We will definitely be back

Great Stay

We had a lovely time at this property. Just steps to the beach. House was clean, lots of room for our family of 7, fully stocked kitchen. Close to shops and Tamarindo (although Playa Grande was much nicer and way less crowded, so we preferred to stay local) there were even 25+ howler monkeys in the trees on the walk to the beach! Kimberly, the property manager, is very responsive. Wish we had more time!

Everything so great!

We were only in Playa Grande for a couple nights. The house was a very nice and comfortable space. I tried surfing, it was awesome and the town is developing still but we found sound great restaurant options very close, the beach was a super easy walk from the house, fruit stands nearby, communications with owners and property caretaker was all terrific! Thank y’all so much!

A Beach Mansion

We loved everything about this place. It was private, easy to find, close to everything including restaurants, a mini market and a fruit and vegetable stand. We saw howler monkeys climbing on the telephone lines by our place and absolutely loved the pool. So much room for our family. Kimberly is awesome and makes amazing BBQ ribs!The only downside is that the beach is only for expert surfers but there are tons of other beaches within an easy driving distance. We went to Playa Avellanas, Playa Carbon, Tamarindo beach and Playa Conchal, all easy road trips.

Paradise

This is our second time staying at this amazing house! We loved it the first time and it was even better the second time! The pool area is such a perfect place to either relax or play in the hot sunny afternoons. The addition of the beautiful shade area, bar, and BBQ were awesome. The property is very well maintained and the plants/greenery and lovely with a big porch to sit on and enjoy them all. The house was spotless and very well kept and the area has everything you could need but not busy and crowded at all. Highly recommend Playa Grande and this house!

Lovely Stay!

Located in the small community of Playa Grandé, very near a magnificent beach, complete with good sized-private pool, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable king beds, clean & secure with efficient & friendly manager & grounds-keeper team, Kimberly & Randy, Casa Veranera was more than we had hoped for. Kimberly was even available to cook us a delicious Costa Rican meal! There are also great little restaurants scattered throughout the community. The area is growing so there’s construction activity & noise but the all the pluses outweighed that issue for us. Thank you Bruce! We hope to be back! 💓 Pura Vida!

Excellent home

The rental process and communication with the owner were excellent. The property managers were always there when needed and I would highly recommend that you have Kimberly make a meal or 2 while you are there - she's an awesome cook This is a beautiful home that has everything you could need for a stay in Costa Rica. It is very spacious and clean. The pool is a real plus and a great place to have a cocktail in escape the heat of the day. There are a number of good restaurants and stores that are within walking distance as is the beautiful beach which is 2 blocks away. This is a residential, growing area so there is normal residential noise but this did not distract from our experience. If you are traveling to CR I highly recommend staying at this property.

Amazing property and location!

We loved our time at this property! We were a group of 3 adults and 4 teens and the house perfectly accommodated all of us with plenty of space. We received excellent information and communication from the property owner and manager in advance and the house was spotless when we arrived. It was well appointed with everything we needed to cook for ourselves and we also took advantage of the offer to have Kimberley prepare us a delicious meal one evening (one of the best meals of our trip!). The house is just a short walk from a beautiful beach and there are several restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and on the covered porch. The house is just under 30 minutes to Tamarindo. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again without a doubt!

Playa grande Beach House

This property is walking distance to grande beach. We had a one and three year old that made the walk. Several restaurants were walking distance also. Playa grande is a great kid beach with no rocks. We found a dirt road (Google maps) shorter drive to tamarindo, Maybe 20 minutes. Kimberly was a great property manager. She Whatsapp us half way through our stay and asked what day would we like housekeeping to come and clean. We were gone all day to a waterfall and came home to clean sheets on the beds and a clean kitchen. She communicated very well with us during our stay and it was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back to this property someday!
