Vores sommerhus er det perfekte tilflugtssted for en familie, en gruppe venner eller et par. Søen og haverne omkring ejendommen giver ro og fred væk fra byens travlhed og distraktioner. Du er velkommen til at strejfe gennem stierne og svømme / fiske i søen! Det er en meget smuk kørsel til Columbia, MO (ca. 30 minutter) og 20 minutter til Rocheport, en meget sød historisk by ved Missouri-floden. Fantastiske attraktioner tæt på vores ejendom er: Isle Capri Hotel & Casino, Rocheport Winery og The Warm Springs Ranch / Clydesdale avlsgård.

Peaceful Night Away

The property was so peaceful and quiet. My oldest daughter, who is almost 22, loved the goat, sheep, and minature pony. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Great communication.

A very cool place in the world :)

We arrived at dusk and the twinkling lights all over the garden and trees was magical! We will visit again in spring/summer to see the gardens and trees in bloom! The doves and animals were fun too!

Exactly what we were seeking & Exactly what we experienced

We were busy when we booked, hastily. We showed up. We absolutely Enjoyed. The Pond & Stars at night (Away from busy sounds & metro). .... Serene setting. Timely & limited communication with our host (what we wanted) -- PERFECT Get-Away -- Planning for our next Get-away, HERE.

Awesome place to get-away for some peace and quiet

What a beautiful property to stay a few nights. There is a wonderful garden and as a bonus some farm animals to visit with. My wife and I loved our time a the cottage and will definitely be back. We have been recommending to our family and friends as well.

Off the Radar

If your looking for a relaxing atmosphere off the main road, this is your place. The gardens are beautiful. The stay was accommodating for our needs. I would definitely recommend for a nice get away for any events in neighboring towns. Owners are close and very friendly.

Hidden away.

The house was fine, but there was a very musty smell in the restroom, and in the master bedroom. The wifi was really challenging. The house was roomy and let us have our own space.

Very pleasant and comforting

A special treasure in the Missouri countryside. Very cozy, quiet and wonderful gardens. Only stayed one night but can't wait to come back and stay for many more!

wish we could stay longer

In route to our destination, this was a stay for rest. But wished we planned extra time here. Its a beautiful property. & being able to take our little fur babies meant so much, & they & my husband & I enjoyed walking the property. They left lights on for us, it was beautiful. A beautiful place worth the ride out in country. will be back

Anniversary trip

Beautiful property! Didn't have to communicate with the owners because there was no need. Tons of space, directions were great. Only reason didn't give 5 stars is because there is a musty oder and did not see a single smoke alarm in the home. So being a former emergency worker all i can think is this is a death trap if a fire was to start while we were sleeping. Also do wish there were blinds or curtains on all the other windows because when someone is walking on the property they can see straight into the home.

Beautiful French Garden Cottage

Hosts were so nice and accommodating! Was about 10-15 minutes away from the interstate for us driving through. Cottage was very clean and bigger than expected. Grounds were beautiful and fun to walk around in the morning!

Girls get away

The gardens were lovely and the lake was beautiful , we only spent the night as we were on an antiquing adventure. I would like to mention, cell service is almost non-existent at this location. Anita provided us with WiFi so if you use WiFi calling you should be fine , but Verizon 5g is a no go.

Nature Cottage

Our place was amazing. Very comfortable. Each room had it's own flair! The kids loved it, my wife and enjoyed ourselves. It was nice to have our own space. We had the pleasure of meeting our hosts in passing. They were very kind and friendly. Even their staff were nice.

Charming, roomy cottage for our group of 6

Our book club of six stayed one night in the cottage. We had plenty of room and the cottage provided lots of space to be together and space for privacy. Also walked through the gardens and visited the animals around the property. Very unique place!

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful and friendly

If you are looking for a wonderful place to get away from it all- this is it! I was able to leave the city life and all its noise and bustle far behind. There are spaces to walk, gardens and cooing doves to enjoy. The lodging was very comfortable with lots of outdoor spaces to wander or just sit. I was not there for romance, but this is a very romantic setting. Anita and Shannon are marvelous hosts: very warm and helpful but not intrusive. I stayed here a month with my canine companion and would definitely go again.

Great weekend stay

Our daughter attends MU and we were looking for a quiet place to enjoy some family time. We were approximately 30 minutes away from Columbia. This was the perfect place for our twin-13 year old boys to run around! The view was beautiful!!! We had lots of space for our family of 5 and room for more. The owners were fantastic! They were always just a text away and quickly responded if we needed any thing. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful & Peaceful

A big group of us came in town for a concert and needed an affordable place to stay that would have us all. I found this property and didn't look into too many specifics because we only needed the place to sleep. When we showed up, we LOVED the property. We could have just booked the place and the property would have been our trip. It is set up for weddings, but even though we weren't there for that we still enjoyed it. We took the little trails through the woods and voyaged on the little raft in the lake. Made friends with the animals, and walked through the gardens. There are so many great photo spots as well. The house itself is larger than I thought, there was plenty of room for us to hangout and sleep, and we baked some cookies in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

One 1 BIG problem

Beautiful property and grounds. However there was a definite propane leak in the house. Judging by the number of scent devices in the house this smell issue was known. The combination of propane and perfuming cover scents was nauseating. I had a headache in the morning. Poor sleep. Safetyissue

Uncomfortable

Ac had extremely dirty filter. Window and portable Ac units wasn’t efficient to keep the unit cool. Furniture was dirty and have pictures. Had to take the glass shelf out of the shower because I didn’t want it to fall/break while showering. Only stayed because I checked in late and didn’t have any other options. Couldn’t sleep so we checked out super early. The outside property was very nice. We didn’t know it was off a dirt ride untill we got the directions.

Wonderful host…but the property…

The owner of this property is very nice and a gracious host. It is a far drive into the countryside but the scenery is pretty—fields with horses, etc. The property has goats and a miniature pony, which is fun, and a pretty lake with a dock. There is an observation deck and a place to sit outside around a fire. All good, until you realize the “cottage” is actually a double wide trailer with a stone facade. The decor is wedding themed with pictures of couples like you’d see in picture frames at Walgreens. It wouldn’t be bad to get married outside here but this should not be anyone’s honeymoon suite. The interior has touches like dried flowers and doilies. It looks a lot more modern in the photos. The furniture is not big enough to accommodate more than two people and the TV is a Vizio. The bed in the master bedroom is comfortable enough but the other beds are rock hard. The quality of the beds and linens overall is not good. The ceiling in the master bedroom is low. When you first walk in there is a cloying fragrance that I think is there to cover up the smell of dog. I mean no disrespect to Anita, she is wonderful, but the property…not so much. If you are used to a mid-range level Marriott or Hilton hotel, or are discerning at all, save yourself the drive, but honestly it’s probably good enough for some based on the other reviews.

Beware of this fly infested home & a home owner that makes accusations!

It was the 4th of July, and we just drove 2 hours and not to mention 95 degrees outside. Upon arrival we were not given the correct instructions on which door to use to enter the home, the key didn’t work for the two front doors! IT WAS OVER 90 DEGREES while we were stuck outside attempting to call Anita twice, no answer, voicemail left, etc. Thankfully my daughter thought to go check the back door which was unlocked! Oh and the key actually works for the BACK DOOR not the front door on the left as specified! That was the first issue, and once we started cooking, here’s comes the next issue. Flies took over the home like a home invasion. Attacking our food, flying any and everywhere possible! I swear my family killed several dozen flies INSIDE OF THE HOME! So there goes ANOTHER inconvenience! Anita accused us of pulling the ac unit out of the window like who would do that in 95 degrees?!? But it dang sure wasn’t us! Second we were accused of leaving the home in a REALLY BAD CONDITION! Like seriously, we cleaned up after ourselves, didn’t have any type of party, no stains, no spills, nothing broken, washed dishes, no holes in the wall, etc but whatever! Only used the bath towels, took the trash out, didn’t make the beds! However, we attempted to pick up all of our fireworks debris but I guess we didn’t, but so what, nobody is perfect. One thing that angers me is being accused of something that we did not do!!! After all of that crap from being stuck outside in 95 degrees upon arrival to being accused after we left and I couldn’t get any portion of a refund back was completely unprofessional! What I thought would become a getaway home for us turned into an unpleasant experience! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING NOR RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE LIKE I THOUGHT I WOULD!
