We are sorry that your stay with us resulted in such an unpleasant way. Especially after your emails and text messages during your stay, about "We are enjoying your wonderful home" and " Loving your place!". But we need to explain truthfully of the events. And, please look at our other reviews. How could we have 5-Star reviews up to and after this visit, if the review from this guest was credible and honest? Everything was fine until they were called out on their fabricated excuses and the truths were revealed. Over my years of renting properties, this is the 1st disreputable and abusive of property guest that we have had stay with us. First off, the woman guest had dis-mantled our pool heater, because she had said there was a rodent in there. She had said she mentioned it to my Pool Guy.. But when checking with him, he did not recall that conversation. But you just don't take it upon yourself to tamper with someone's expensive equipment. Guest's would normally report any issues with the owner, before resolving the issue. They clogged the outdoor bathroom toilet when the extra friends were staying, so again the woman guest took it upon herself to investigate. It wasn't till the Day After, of her digging with a shovel and pulling on pipes under the bathroom, they finally notified me. And said they only plunged the toilet and saw leaks. After these Issues arose, I went back and reviewed our security cameras after guest check out. Also the first time that we had to do this. On video shows her dismantling of my Pool Heater. also the digging under the outside bath with a shovel and pulling and eventually breaking the flexible bathroom drain. Along with the "friends that only stayed for a night" ?? Well they were there from what is on video, and what a neighborhood friend witnessed that They Were there at least 6 days, and they still recant the lie that it was one night. Even if it was un-expected, here was no communication and further shows contempt. And Honestly we don't usually charge if its a reasonable request. Fee's aren't as important as honest communication. And the extra dog is same situation... The guests had accepted our rental agreement, which shows these fees, and how to contact us with issues with the property. The agreement was for 2 Adults and 1 Pet. Which they also had 2 pets. The charges would have been avoided if they were honest, communicate from the beginning, and not fabricate stories after the fact. What if my cleaning crew arrived at noon or 2pm or even the next day, sometimes I'm not the 1st on their schedule, Would these guests still be staying in the house "passing time"? again being respectful of property and honest. The housekeeper arrived just before the 10 am checkout but was waiting out on the street out of respect for the guests to leave, when she was waved down by the woman guest at 10:15. My son was there because of meeting the plumber and a friend to move our bathroom so it could be repaired. Which I had waived plumber's repair charges of $985 The "ladder" was numerous requests/messages to me about suppling a ladder for Kayaks. Finally after they said they'd share the cost. I had a ladder installed, to keep guests happy. I now have to have it removed, because it's in the way of boat docking. No "dishwasher" I have never advertised that we have a dishwasher in the property. It is something we will add after time. Water Pressure is controlled by the water dept., I have no control over pressure. The shower heads in all bathrooms are removable, and can be hand held for guest preference. Additional notes: On video= Woman guest daily disposed of the 2-dogs waste over the fence into the deer and wildlife environment that surrounds out property, instead of properly disposing, we supply a "pooper scooper" with bags to place in the trash. We keep our keys on 1 ring. They had removed all the keys and never returned back onto or could find the master ring. All keys were loose when they left. Furniture was rearranged and decorations were placed away in cabinets. All We ask that our guest leave as you found it upon checking in so the next guests will find it decorated. And the Garage/Storage area was rearranged so that they could park their car in there. Our insurance doesn't cover indoor car storage. And we have plenty of off street parking at the home. Lastly, housekeeper found a joint and small amount of weed in the home. It was properly destroyed immediately upon discovery. Thank You for reading our explanation of the true events. We are not "unpleasant" owners, We love to share our piece of paradise with others. And do not deserve the misrepresentation of a hypocritical review.
