Amazing place

This place is great, close enough to key west but not in key west. It has a canal front for your boat and the AC works great.

Great stay:Quiet neighborhood

We spent a month at the house. Neighborhood was quiet, house had everything we needed, and Matt was very responsive.

Quiet location convenient to Key West.

My wife and I spent a month at Matt’s place in Raccoon Key. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning to return next year. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want to cook.

Love the Keys!

We always have a great time in the keys! This house had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable to stay in. The dock was great for the boat, kayaks and paddleboards, had plenty of room. Enjoyed the spa and the deck (always had a breeze). House is in a very nice neighborhood, had fun biking to watch the sunset over the gulf. Fishing and snorkeling was awesome. Would definitely like to stay here again.

Amazing, family friendly

The house was amazing, enough room for 6 adults and two kids. Close enough to key West and all The activities. Had problems with washing machine but owner dealt with it promptly. Loved the fenced yard for the children. We all enjoyed the swim spa.

Amazing Waterfront Home

This house has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The owner is very responsive if you need anything. The beautifully landscaped yard & huge hot tub( more like a small pool is wonderful. The house is clean & very well stocked. Just bring your bathing suit, boat & enjoy

Great vacation home!

We had such a fantastic time!! The home is very well stocked of everything anyone would need -- bed linens, pots/pans, dishes, towels, barbecue, an incredible spa, boat dock, etc.! The list could continue!! Renting thru Matt was such a nice experience. He accommodated us and worked with our last minute reservation!!? Would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you Matt.

EXCELLENT HOME! GREAT LOCATION-GREAT OWNER

Perfect home for just about everything. The layout is very inviting, the house was very clean, everything you might need is there for you. i mean. from the towels to extra sheets, napkins, paper towels... everything. The rooms are all great in size and clean. the kitchen is big and lends itself to entertaining. all the appliances are great. the outside oasis is just that, an oasis. the hot tub "pool" is huge. The patio deck was very large as well. We had one minor issue with the toilet and the owner Matt called us back right away and had someone out there to look at it and fix it. I highly recommend this home and will be back again next year if its available.

Great Boating Vacation

The house was perfect for our family boating vacation in May 2015. The owners were easy to work with and were helpful with any questions or minor issues we had during our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked and we enjoyed having the house and back yard wired with speakers to listen to music during the stay. The grill and swim spa were nice amenities as well. The fenced tropically-landscaped yard was safe for our 4-year-old to play in while we were cleaning fish or the boat. The location of the house is ideal for boating and fishing. The free public boat ramp nearby was easy to use and we were able to park our trailer in front of the house with no problems. The dock out back had power and water which made cleaning the boat and charging trolling motor batteries easy. The house has great access to the back country, the ocean side and Key West. Great fishing all around including at the dock where our son caught mangrove snappers and even a hogfish. (Live shrimp and some chum were key for the sea wall fishing.) The restaurant Roostica right down the way on Stock Island was our favorite meal out during our stay. We cooked plenty of mahi and other fish we caught on the grill most nights. The only thing the house is missing is a fish cleaning table so bring a large cutting board or a portable filet table. Otherwise, the house suited our needs perfectly. We will definitely be back for future boating vacations.

Romantic Getaway

This home provided all the comforts of home. The photos provided do not provide or showcase the charm of this home. The side deck of the yard had a tropical flare that was amazing for evening barbecuing and gathering. This home provided all and more my sister could want for her 50th birthday she loved it, my sister-in-law and brother celebrating 20 years of marriage loved the master suite which was quite lovely. Finally, the location was perfect for being a tourist during the day and far enough away to have the comforts of a quiet neighborhood for evening relaxion. Another great feature of this home is it appears to be newly remodeled, beautifly decorated, family photo that brought warmth of the owner, and the cleanliness of the home was an extension of the owner's way of providing those who visit a sense and feel of a home away from home! Perfect vacation getaway

This home was everything that is showing on this site and then some. It truly was a home away from home. The house was exceptionally clean, the yard, well maintained. The jacuzzi is the largest I have ever seen, we called it a "pool". Neighborhood is very nice and the location is perfect. We brought our boat and so glad we did. Docking it was effortless and we had it right there at the house! Matt (the owner) was great to work with. He responded promptly to my emails and answered any questions I had. We had an absolutely fabulous time and I would most certainly rent this house again.

Towers/Olds Wedding

We enjoyed the house immensely. This was my first time reserving a home with this listing company and everything went smoothly. The pictures were accurate in showing the layout of the home, but did not do justice to everything inside. The home was very clean and inviting. We enjoyed the deck, spa and fishing in the canal. If possible, it would be helpful to have some kind of lighting on the deck stairs at night. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends.

WOW!

We were looking for a place to relax and escape the NJ snow. The listing looked very promising especially with the fenced in yard for our dog but the listing did not do this home justice. We entered & our thoughts were WOW. The home is beautifully laid out with everything you need for a great vacation. In every room you found another little touch in decorations and amenities. It was spacious with the master bedroom set apart from the other 2 bedrooms (a nice touch). The yard is a tropical paradise with the spa, the patio deck, the boat dock, the gorgeous water views. Our dog loved the yard and even sitting on the boat dock looking at the water-luckily, he didn't take a swim. You could fish off the dock or bring your own boat. You are close enough to Key West to go in town for the insanity or just relax along the water or in the yard. Key West also had terrific party boat fishing. We did go into Key West including going fishing but mainly we relaxed and enjoyed the beauty of the area. Matt was great to work with. We have rented thru VRBO for several years & have to say this was one of the best rentals! My sister traveled with us and didn't want to leave; it was all just so peaceful and relaxing. We all recommend this house for a memorable stay!

Bigger than it looks!

We spent 3 nights at Matt's getaway property in the Keys..... Upon arrival we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the house.... It was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation. Communication with Matt was great if he did not answer he returned your call promptly... Laid Back Key West

We need a place where we can have the boat in the water - not super easy to find in Key West. We also have our dog with us about 99.9 percent - or more? This is a single story - also desireable, comfortable home in a nice location. Perfect for us.

Awesome Home/Excellent Location

This wonderful three-bedroom home with a pull-out couch in the den is comfortably furnished and equipped with everything a vacationer needs. The palm-tree filled yard with a huge deck is fabulous for reading, eating, sunning, with a second deck for the huge hot tub and lounge chairs. This is our fifth rental in the Keys, and by far, this home is our favorite. Hope we can go again next year. And if we can go, we'll rent this delightful home again. It's a little bit of heaven at mile marker five. You can't go wrong. (One unusual thing happened to us for the first time in five years of renting in the Keys: The owner's instructions were clear and concise, and we didn't need to contact him once during our one-month stay with any problems..) Oh, and I forgot to mention, the maintenance is unparalleled. And all the beds are extremely comfortable.

Great house!

My family wanted a Christmas vacation some place warm so we picked Key West. The house was great! My dogs came with us and they loved the fenced in property as did we. The swim spa was great, it was a little hot for me personally but we were able to get the temperature down. We loved the outdoor space The beds were comfortable. The overall decor of the house was very nice. We had everything we needed while we were there. Communication was quick from Matt and everything was as promised. We had 6 adults and 2 dogs and we were very comfortable. The grocery store is only 5 minutes away and Duval St and the waterfront area is just a 10-15 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Place to Stay

The place is in a great location to the down town areas. The house is pleasant and extremely comfortable. The back yard has hot tub and a wonderful canal view. We fished of the canal clean the fish there and grilled all with in 20 ft. The owners are incredibly nice and accommodating. I have recommended this property to several friends that their vacation time do not coincide with mine SMILE.

Great location, accurate description with helpful owner

We visited in January of 2013. We were down looking at real estate and have rented many homes in the keys. The property is located close to key west but in a residential upscale neighborhood. We took the bus to key west and found it to be an easy and pleasant experience. It was also easy to get a taxi home from old town after doing duval uncorked (key west food and wine event). The property was immaculate and the grounds well kept. We did use the swim spa and it was easy to uncover and operate. The dock was nice as well. Key haven gets a fair amount of navy jet noise but that is common in this part of the keys. We saw manatees in the lagoon in the neighborhood which was a treat. The owner was helpful and easy to work with.

Amazing house and location

We stayed here for our wedding with a bunch of friends (7 total). It was the perfect location, perfect size home for entertaining. Spent a lot of time outside in the Florida Keys air on the deck. It is close enough and far enough from town. We were also able to take our dog which was great!! Communication with the owner was fantastic... Emails were answered very quickly. The only negative thing is that we had to leave!! Would definitely come back and stay here and thanks for having us!
