Great stay

Very nice and convenient property close to Mount Sunapee. Owners were very accommodating and communicative.

Cozy place, great for kids and relaxing after a great day of skiing. Hot tub wasn't working, but they did have an appointment to get it serviced. Otherwise, a great stay!

Kind, helpful and thoughtful hosts

Being welcomed with fresh eggs and cold drinks was a great way of starting off our weekend holiday escape from Boston. Everything we needed was a short drive away from restaurants to shopping. Our hosts provided helpful information on Newbury and things to do there. Spent time cooling our heels at the lake. Would definately stay here again.

Great "off the beaten path" getaway!

The property was in the woods so very quiet and peaceful. The owners have chickens and turkeys and they were fun to watch. The layout was a bit "quirky" but fun and very tidy and clean. There were a few spiders here and there but we would expect nothing else in the woods.

The house is tucked away on a big plot of land. It was nice scenery with a big wrap around deck right outside the entrance. I believe the kitchen was new and it was nice to use, if a little sparse for utensils. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. My wife was ecstatic to get to hold the baby bunnies that has just been born. Most of the space is on top of where the hosts live but they are quiet and courteous of the guests. The AC unit in the master bedroom was quite loud but the one in the larger living/kids room was almost silent. We quite enjoyed our stay there.

Also, enough utensils for 6 peoples are provided, and additional utensils are available upon request. Although we communicated often with you, we had no idea that the a/c unit was loud, as we could have shown you how to program it in its quiet mode had you asked.

Great experience at this Newbury property!

We had such a lovely time! The property owners took such good care of us. They were there to welcome us to the property and show us around. They were very responsive with any questions we had before and during the trip. Theresa went out is her way to make the trip extra special for my daughter for her Birthday that occurred during the trip. The house was so comfortable and immaculate. My favorite part was being able to see all the beautiful birds enjoying the bird feeder right outside the window. The kitchen was very well stocked. There was so much flexibility to enjoy the property with room for all our party. We were a party of 7 that included three children. We all enjoyed it so much and can’t wait to visit again.

This was a clean property and the owner was responsive. It seemed different to me a little than the advertisement. I was nervous to enter after dark because the entrance is in the back of someone’s house and it was dark. It felt like I was trespassing. Just know this in advance. My mother in law walks with a cane and we didn’t realize this is all on the second floor. Thankfully she was able to climb the stairs.The bedding was all clean. I wasn’t worried about cleanliness. Some of the mattresses were really firm. My kids had no complaints. I think it was expensive for what it was, but it gave us a clean, safe space to sleep for the night.

NH vacation

Was perfect for our family. Slept 5 comfortably. Nice quiet location. Property was clean and well maintained.

Great place to stay, inside and out!

Very clean, plenty of space for our party (3 adults and 2 children) and welcoming. Rod and Terry are very accommodating. They made themselves available 24/7. Sledding out the back door was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed seeing the deer and turkeys early in the morning.

Cozy, quiet, private and close to Mt. Sunapee

Lovely estate at the end of a road with total quiet. Kids loved the early morning turkeys and deer visible from the kitchenette window. They sledded down the adjacent hill for an extra hour each day. Mt. Sunapee is a 10 minute drive that goes right through "downtown" Newbury where there's gas, convenience store, bar/grill... Hosts were friendly, helpful, thoughtful and generous. There were 5 of us (2 parents, 2 kids and grandpa) and the space was plenty big. Bedroom was separate large and private with 3 others sleeping comfortably in the great room. Nice new internet TV and the hosts got us all connected for evening family movies. Just, lovely.

Enchanted Forest was enchanting!

Theresa and Rod are incredibly nice, accommodating hosts, and have a great place to stay right near Sunapee Resort with comfy beds and enough room for all 5 of us. It only takes about 12 minutes to get to the mountain about 6 miles away. There was a hill out back that our kids sledded and skied on and we had everything we could have needed! And if we didn’t, we knew that Theresa and Rod would have taken care of us! We loved it and will hopefully be back! Our only suggestion would be to move the king bed into the master bedroom- as my husband is taller, we couldn’t fit in the bed that was there (I think it’s a queen, but a small queen) and we ended up sleeping out in the main room with our kids. But we had a great stay- and saw deer and wild turkeys right out back! Thank you!

Weekend with the kids

We came up for a long weekend and had a great time. The rooms were perfect for family and we had lots of space for everyone. Hot tub was a great extra for us too. We will definitely return the next chance we get.
