Vi købte denne lejlighed 'off-plan "i 2004 og begyndte at leje og bruge det i 2005. Det kan betragtes rummelige franske alpine standarder, da det har tre rigtige soveværelser. Alle vores gæster er enige dette er en virkelig dejlig komfortabel lejlighed, men det bedste er det nærhed til de vigtigste lift og gartneriet hældning. Det er omkring to minutters gang til liften og lejligheden sidder på toppen af ​​gartneriet hældning. Vi har nøje udvalgt og udstyret lejlighed med alt, hvad man behov i en sådan bolig. Dette omfatter komfortable siddepladser til seks eller flere voksne, som er lidt af en sjældenhed i sådanne steder (min kone insisterede på det :-)). Den beboelig areal er 45 m². Hvilket er en god lidt større end de fleste franske ski lejligheder.

Lejligheden har gratis trådløs internetadgang, opvaskemaskine, TV med integreret DVD, ovn med rotisserie, kombi-ovn og spiseplads plads til seks. Vi har medtaget alle de sædvanlige køkkenmaskiner såsom brødrister, kaffemaskiner, fondue sæt osv De tre soveværelser har en dobbeltseng, to singler og to køjer. Badeværelset har en virkelig god kraftfuld bruser over badet (med masser af varmt vand) og en vaskemaskine. WC er adskilt fra badeværelset. Der er også en dobbelt sovesofa i stuen, det er påkrævet. Altanen giver et dejligt sted at se ud over dalen og planteskole skråninger, hvor du kan nyde at se mindre erfarne medlemmer af din fest.

Lejligheden er altid varmt og hyggeligt, selv uden opvarmning på. Vi er virkelig specielt om at sikre lejligheden er pletfri for vores gæster, så skal du forvente en virkelig høj standard for renlighed. Jeg kan garantere du vil have en vidunderlig ophold uanset hvilken tid af året du bor hos os.

Brilliant apartment in a great location! Really well equipped for self catering. There was 4 of us (2adults 2 children) and there was loads of room for us plus all our skiing gear. Bed and mattress in main bedroom could do with replacing as could bed linen (and you have to make your own beds) but kids thought their beds were very comfortable! The parking is at the main car park just on the edge of the village but it's not far to walk and you can drive to the apartment to load/unload etc.

Great apartment with everything you could need. Easy check. We did have a few questions and Bryan was very quick to respond and very helpful too. It's an easy 2 minute walk up the slope to the main chairlift and on the way back, we could almost ski to the door.

Amazing apartment!

The apartment was perfect! Fully equipt with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Plenty of room for our family of 6 to stay comfortably, perfect location next to ski lifts and gondola outside the balcony. Hosts very responsive and helpful.

It was a good clean apartment. Lots if space and a well equipped kitchen.

It is close to the ski kindergarten. Across the road from the main ski lift. You can ski right into the apartment. Lovely views from the balcony.

A spacious apartment right on the slopes

With 3 proper bedrooms this apartment is also well kitted out for self caterers . We literally bumped our skis off the front door on one occasion its that close to the slopes. In the morning its either a 50 metre walk to the chair or ski down a short green and on to a bubble. It would work well for families as well as a groups. In addition the owner was great to deal with. No hesitation to recommend

Great base for a ski trip in Morillon

Morillon 1100 is a very compact resort and compared to some other ski resorts most accommodation would be considered close to the lifts and other amenities. However, this apartment is particularly well situated - virtually "ski-in ski-out", and literally overlooking the nursery slopes. With the right expectation (European ski accommodation is generally "compact") - our group of 4 adults and 3 children was comfortable, and the owners have furnished and laid it out sensibly. For us it Morillon is a great location for a ski holiday with young families: Ski-in ski out so no time wasted in the car in the morning and easy to change over at lunchtime Quiet area with everything you need in the village (ski hire, bakery, grocery shop) Short transfer time from Geneva airport (1 hr) Nursery slopes close by (as well as an actual nursery - childcare - should you require it)

Great location and nice Apartment

The price was great, a nice 3 bed apartment, the bedrooms are small but they are fine. Longe/kitchen is a great area. Little things like tea, coffee, sugar, bin bags, sauces, salt were really helpful. The location is really good, even with the lack of snow so we couldn’t ski to the door it was still only 50m to the lifts and ski school meeting place. Overall really happy with the apartment and would stay again. What I would say is the sofa was slightly broken and so I had to fix it so we could sit down properly, there were cobwebs and dust in all the non obvious places and it needs a new dustpan and brush as I had to beat the brush outside as it made more mess brushing up with it. But Bryan was very responsive and we would really stay again, very happy.

Sadly I have to start with the negatives. We arrived late in the evening to the apartment which had not been cleaned. Clean linen had been left but the beds had not been made. Dishwasher was full and clean but not emptied, bins had not been emptied, the floor was filthy, the bath had pubic hair in it and the neither the bathroom or toilet had been cleaned. I had to spend a lot of time making up the beds and cleaning the apartment. It is still unclear from the owner why it was not cleaned by the management company and was suggested the previous guests should have left it how they found it. Regardless, it should be cleaned in between guests. The owner did give us a small compensation and responded promptly to my messages which I am grateful for. The apartment itself when clean is in a great position and does have everything you need. Close access to the slopes and lifts. It would have been helpful to maybe have an information pack about where the supermarket is, any good places to eat or get takeaway, how to work the Wi-Fi, where to take our rubbish, where the ski lockers are etc. All of these things we worked out but as we were there for only 4 nights that information would have been helpful. So sadly a low score review despite the adequate size and location of the apartment.

Thank you for your review. I wish to respond by making the following points. I accept that the apartment was not to the standard you were expecting. However, the pictures you supplied to me did not display a level of uncleanliness that matched what you suggested in terms of your effort to make the apartment fit for habitation. However, this incident has highlighted an issue for me of which I was not previously aware and it also relates to the other points you have made about supply of information. I have previously provided an information booklet to guests which was downloadable through the VRBO site. It appears that VRBO have changed the configuration of the site such that the document is not longer available. This document makes clear to guests that they must leave the apartment in a clean and tidy state and it now appears to me that the guests before you will not have been aware of this because they, as well as you, did not have access to the document. You mention that you received 'small compensation' but I will disagree with that description as it was equivalent to more than half a day of your stay (by what I received in payment). I am unable to believe you spent half a day making the space as you wished it to be. I would like to highlight also, that my management company offered to come to see you about the issues you found but you refused this offer. I feel it is probably fairer to include all the relevant information in a review rather than focussing on the negatives in order to bolster your stated position. I will agree that this time, the apartment did not meet the standards I have set for my myself but I would like to make the point that you did not pay for an extremely high standard of accommodation. Yes, the apartment was not good enough regarding the preparation, but given you paid the equivalent of a reasonable hotel room and got a 3-bed (6-person) apartment, I think that the 4/10 rating is a little harsh. I do not make any profit from renting the apartment for a few weeks each year and in fact I typically make a, not insignificant, loss. If I were to include a full clean of the apartment with each turnaround then I would need to charge significantly more and therefore you would not have been able to take advantage of the good value I currently offer. I have been letting the apartment each winter for over 20 years now and I have had minimal complaints. I do find it a disappointment that, after providing you with a significant offer of compensation and the efforts I made to put the situation right, that you could not have found a little more balance in your final summation. In my guest review I gave you a top score on every rating but I feel now that this might have been a little generous. My management company reported that they did have to do some cleaning and tidying after you left so, in hindsight, I might be inclined to lower some of those scores although it would not be something I would normally wish to do.

A fantastically located three bedroom property, ideal as a base for a ski holiday.

I stayed in this property with two friends, over the 2018/2019 New Year, meaning that we could each have a bedroom. These were well furnished and supplied with clean bedding. The bathroom was well sized with a large bath which was used each day after skiing. The water pressure was excellent and we never found ourselves wanting for hot water. A separate toilet is always desirable when sharing with friends. The kitchen was used most days to complete some form of cooking on either the hob, in the oven/grill or in the convection microwave. The smart TV, with DVD player attached, allowed us a wide range of entertainment options when staying in for the night. High speed internet allowed the teenager amongst us to stay connected to the outside world throughout the stay. The spacious balcony was not used a lot, due to the cold weather, however on New Years Eve it was a great place to see some of the fireworks going off in Les Esserts. With the main ski lift being about 50m from the ski storage it was an easy walk each morning to head off into the Grand Massif ski area. Beginners are very well catered for with the main beginners area a similar distance below the accommodation. Les Esserts has a good range of restaurants, bars and shops to visit after a hard day of skiing. The restaurants catered for the less adventurous patrons with a wide range of pizza and burger options, but also allowed the more adventurous to try out the many Haute-Savoire specialties this region is famous for. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the property and I will certainly be staying there again in the future.

Impeccable

Très bel appartement de 3 vraies chambres, très propre et confortable. Trés bien situé dans la station, tout près des cours pour enfants et remontées mécaniques. Jolie vue sur les montagnes. Commerces à proximité.

Super séjour

L'appartement est très bien situé. Proche des remontées. Il est très bien équipé et l'hôte est très réactif pour nous renseigner. Le local à ski est très appréciable. Une passoire en + et c'est parfait.

Hi, I'm Bryan. I currently live in Norfolk with my wife and two children. We bought the apartment 'off-plan' in 2004 and have spent the last 13 years visiting Morillon and updating the apartment to get it just right for our own and our guests enjoyment.

Everyone who has stayed has had a really good time and has been really appreciative and complimentary about the apartment; especially its location. Because it is an apartment rather than a large chalet we have focused on getting the right balance between aesthetics and functionality and this has resulted in an attractive, comfortable accommodation where everything - even down to the number of door hooks - has been carefully thought through. If you have been skiing before you will know that apart from the quality of the snow the most important factor is the proximity of where you are staying to the lifts. It is all very well renting a lavish chalet but ultimately you will want to spend most of your time skiing and not walking to or from the lifts or waiting for a bus - especially at the end of a glorious day hitting the slopes hard. With this property, you can on the lift within three minutes of getting your boots on or ski to within 10 metres of the door when your legs won't take any more.

Location, location, location!
The thing that can make or break a ski holiday is its distance from the slopes and lift. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginner you will really love not having to walk for ages to get out onto the mountain or back after a lovely long day of skiing/boarding. The main lift is about 2 minutes walk away from the front door (in ski boots) and the learner slope is just on the other side of the building i.e. less than a minute away.

The alps make a fantastic holiday destination any time of year and in the summer it is incredibly hot with crystal clear mountain air, loads of activities and fabulous food. Whilst some like to head for the valley bottom in the summer, up the mountain is wonderfully quiet - serene even. If you are looking for for a place to really get away from it all you would find it hard to beat the peaceful tranquility of the French alps.
