We had a wonderful time here, with a fantastic host providing excellent communication and help. We were lucky to stay during the Carcassonne music festival and enjoyed 3 free concerts in the Carnot Square. The appartment is ideally located for a gre6 variety of good restaurants and the atmosphere of the square was excellent. The location was also ideal for walks along the river and to the Medievel walled city. The air conditioning was very useful, and the appartment was well equipped with everything we needed.

Pleasant Stay

The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The location is also first class with everything within walking distance.

Great location, very well appointed

We stayed for two weeks and used this as a base to travel to a few other places as well as enjoying the village life of the Bastide. It is certainly a great place to just chill out and feel a bit French.

This is a listed building in a bastide overlooking Place Carnot, where locals meet, drink, chat, eat, sing - such a wonderful community vibe, and a joy to be part of. Can’t praise our host (Kaye) highly enough. She communicates, advises and provides everything you could want in what is sometimes a holiday home for herself. Feels like you are her guest in an authentically furnished apartment. It’s so beautiful. Only wish we’d had longer to take advantage of all the ‘to do’ suggestions she makes in the journal she provides.

Great time in Carcassonne

This place had everything we needed for a great stay. Centrally located , very French and easy walk to La Cite. The information booklet left in the room was invaluable, especially the “easy” route to La Cite.Definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely apartment in superb location overlooking Place Carnot with several bars and restaurants. Couple of supermarkets close to hand . Within easy walking distance of train station , Canal du Midi, river Aude and Le Cite.Excellent communication with the host , who was happy to accommodate my request to change my original booked dates by a day after our airline decided to change our flights to totally inconvenient times . She also messsged during our stay hoping we were coping with the extreme temperatures…high 30’s most days !Very easy check in , apartment very clean and extremely well equipped with lots of basic supplies in kitchen. Aircon and fan in bedroom were a definite blessing in the heatwave!!

A charming apartment

A very pretty, French style apartment in the heart of Carcassonne Bastide overlooking the charming and bustling Place Carnot. Very well equipped kitchen, should you tire of the plentiful restaurants round about. We had a lovely stay. Lots to see and do in and around the city.

A long weekend in Carcassonne

We had a great stay in Carcassonne and at the apartment, it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s very close to the train statin, the castle and the canal du midi. There’s also plenty of bars and restaurants close by.

We’d stay here again.

We were very comfortable at Kaye’s apartment. The location was great, it was stocked exceptionally well with everything we needed. Communication with Kaye was excellent. Having windows onto the square with sun streaming in was lovely.

Great stay in Carcassonne

Fantastic apartment overlooking Place Carnot. The location is superb with places of interest well within walking distance. Communication with Kaye was excellent and she was quick to respond to any questions we may have had. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a quality stay in Carcassonne.

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay at this apartment, everything was perfect! Kaye is a very kind and helpful host. We particularly enjoyed the good location, the supplies available in the apartment, the comfy and elegant decor, and especially the instructions manual to the apartment, with lots of helpful insider tips and recommendations about Carcassonne. We felt so good we didn’t want to go home!

This apartment is a lovely base for exploring Carcassonne, with a very traditional French feel and beautiful features like the shutters. It felt more like staying in someone’s home than a standard holiday let, which we really enjoyed - the books, games, and personal touches made it feel welcoming and lived-in.The location overlooking Place Carnot is very central and convenient, with plenty of bars, cafés, and restaurants right on your doorstep. It does mean the square can be quite lively and noisy, especially in the evenings and early mornings (including cleaning and recycling activities), so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, and Kaye was very responsive and helpful before and during our visit.

Superb French Apartment

My partner and I have just spent a most enjoyable week in Carcassonne staying at this apartment. The apartment is ideally located overlooking Place Carnot.The apartment is very comfortable and has everything that you need for an enjoyable stay. Contact with Kaye was excellent, as was the weather during our stay.We will certainly stay in this apartment again as and when we return to Carcassonne.

Perfect location for exploring the area.

Everything you could possibly need is provided in the apartment. There was even a bottle of fresh milk in the refrigerator for us on arrival as well as a bottle of wine and two glasses waiting on the table. Very detailed guide book for the apartment as well as the surrounding area.

A beautiful apartment in a superb location

This apartment is so very French, so very beautiful and so very conveniently located. The furnishings are appropriate, the apartment itself is cleanly presented and superbly equipped. I would recommend without hesitation.

Perfect apartment for two.

French experience in French town

We were reluctant to leave after our two weeks there. The apartment had everything we needed and shopping was so conveniently close. If we wanted to travel further both bus and train options were close by, and there was lots to see if we preferred to stay within walking distance. The Cité Médiévale was stunning! We loved it all.

Great property

Everything was great. The location is excellent. Kaye left very detailed instructions and suggestions on local activities. Restaurants and shopping are in easy walking distance. We had a car and made several day trips. The parking garage is a 10 minute walk and is secure. We would recommend this apartment without reservation.

Carcassonne

Absolutely lovely little apartment. Well equipped and traditional. Located in a central square which was very lively with free concerts as part of the Festival de Carcassonne. Great location for access to the railway station and other amenities. The Cite de Carcassonne is just fantastic. Hope to visit again and explore further afield!

The apartment lies in an excellent location a few blocks walk from the train station and Canal and overlooking the central plaza. The host communicated very clearly and promptly. Being able to open the windows over the plaza and let the breeze in was a delight. All required amenities were included.
