Sunset Paradise, Lake Ida Horizon License #2014
Come and experience our family friendly year round vacation cabin! It is the perfect getaway, with a spacious layout for multi/extended family trips.
Featuring a wraparound deck to enjoy your morning coffee as you watch pristine Lake Ida wake up and at the end of a amazing day on the lake enjoy the magnificent sunsets. The cabin is located steps away from the sandy bottom lake with depths increasing slowly for the younger swimmers and optimal for wading out to the sandbar just off the dock. Bald eagle sightings are prominent and the loons are always calling!
Take a break from the lake and head into Alexandria (recently voted best town in Minnesota) for all of the local attractions. Including Casey's Amusement Park, ample downtown shopping, delicious local restaurants, and so much more! There are many local wineries and breweries that are close to the cabin/lake. Including, Carlos Creek Winery/22 Northmen Brewery, Rolling Forks Vineyard, LEtoile du Nord Vineyard, and Thousand Lakes Brewery are just a few. The cabin is also close to the public access and many beautiful area golf courses.
At night we invite you to enjoy the outdoor fire pit that is right off of the deck, and sit by the lakeside for optimal stargazing skies!
Our cabin features a large kitchen that is fully equipped with utensils, toaster, can opener, plates, cups, silverware, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee bar, refrigerator/freezer and open concept living area. In main living area enjoy a good book, some hot chocolate, and the indoor fireplace.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and 1 with 2 twin beds. And downstairs has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a king bed (en-suite bathroom)and 1 with a queen. All 3 bathrooms are full baths. All bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels are included.
The dining area is perfect for large family dinners or family game night!
We invite you to enjoy the peace and relaxation of lakeside living on Lake Ida.

Our group of two families with a total of 8 people had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The rooms were comfortable and the living area was cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The hosts were great with timely communication and tips about what to do in the area. We enjoyed the nearby Carlos Creek winery (great wood fired pizzas!) and breweries as well as the boutique shops in Alexandria. The barbecue grill in the garage was handy as well. Thanks for a memorable time!

We had a great experience at this property! 5 of us stayed, had our own rooms and 3 baths! Layout of house is perfect for those whom like to sleep in or take a nap for it’s away from main visiting areas! Host were amazing to work with and easy to contact! Beautiful sunsets

A Beautiful Stay at Peaceful Lake Ida
My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this beautiful lake property. The cabin is well appointed for a group stay—plenty of comfortable beds, a well-supplied kitchen, and lovely outdoor spaces right on the lake shore. The homeowners went out of their way to make the cabin welcoming and to communicate the many options for activities in the area.

Wedding trip
It has comfortable space to spread out in. It was clean with no worries with children playing on the floor. The area was quiet and close enough to Alexandria for us to attend our event. Very good communication from the owners.

Corporate weekend retreat
We had a group of 8 for a weekend retreat and the house was great. Pleanty of rooms with 3 full bathrooms to make it comfortable for all. A quick drive to town and so very close to the winery and brewery. Everything we needed was in the house and it made for a very relaxing weekend. The host was also wonderful, great communication before and during the trip. Thank you for sharing your rental.

We attended our daughter's wedding at Carlos Creek Winery. This property was perfect for us. Less than 2 miles from the venue. My Dad and my inlaws stayed with us, in addition to my son. The availability of 3 full baths was unbelievably convenient to maximize independent use and minimize sharing. The available space and layout of the house is excellent for a group, and the amenities were top notch. Finally, the communication from Teresa and Jim from reservation to pre-trip, during our stay and upon checkout was timely, constructive, thorough, and friendly. An all-around excellent property.

This beautiful cabin was so comfortable & dressed for autumn. Beds were also very comfortable. Sunset Paradise had the best stocked kitchen &bathrooms we have had. Check in was easy-keypad code supplied by owner. The owner texted with ideas of things to do & places to eat. We really enjoyed The Depot, Angelina’s, Pike & Pint, & Lure ????. Sorry, can’t remember the complete name.Carlos Winery was also a good stop.We would highly recommend this listing. Five of us had plenty of room. We stayed the first week of October. Bring a jacket-it did get chilly!

Amazing Alexandria Lake Cabin
This was a return trip for our girls weekend and most certainly will return again! Owners so gracious and easy to communicate with! Cabin filled with home-like touches, comfortable bedrooms, numerous kitchen essentials, large TV, fireplace for those cool temps, and a deck with beautiful lake views for kicking back and relaxing! We used for our base home to explore Alex & surrounding areas. Enjoyed wineries, breweries, thrift store shopping, and many great eating places! Would totally recommend for your getaway rental!

Wonderful property!
We had a wonderful stay! Before the trip we received a text with check in details and recommendations of things to do in the area. On our way up they let us know the cleaners were done and we could check in - super helpful! The cabin was clean and really well stocked. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room for all of us. We loved the view of the lake. The location was great too - close to Carlos Creek Winery and Lake Carlos state park. Not too far from shopping in Alexandria either. Would definitely rent again!

Our stay at the lake was great for our girls weekend. The accuracy of the listing left no surprises. Teresa reached out with different happenings at nearby businesses which was helpful. The proximity to the winery is convenient. The cab service from town will pick up/drop off from the home. We would love to stay again when we visit the area in the future!

Girls weekend
My girlfriends and I from high school got together and had so much fun! The house was perfect for us. Beds are comfortable and everything was so clean. We had everything we needed there so we didn’t need to go anywhere. All 7 of us were able to hang out in the living room comfortably. We will be coming back I’m sure!! Thank you for everything!

Family Wedding Weekend
This place worked very well for our family and an added bonus was the close proximity to the wedding venue! Very clean with lots of amenities - really appreciated the coffee bar! Great communication from hosts, would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful location/ amazing lake views
We enjoyed staying at this property! The lake access is amazing! Beautiful views and great location! We came for a wedding at Gathered Oakes so this was so convenient for the wedding!
The rooms were beautiful… great beds, bedding and towels. The kitchen has everything that you need! We will definitely try to stay again!
