Great location

Our family enjoyed our stay. The beach was nice and we appreciated the remote location. Property owner was great with communication before, during and after the stay.

The perfect location for our family vacation

An amazing house and property located on the Chesapeake Bay with its own private beach. The owners are very nice and responsive to our questions. The accommodations are fabulous.

Fabulous Family week at the Beach!

We were so happy with our weeks stay at this gorgeous home on the Chesapeake Bay. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The home is spacious and full of extras to make us feel AT HOME. The sunrise and sunset views are spectacular from many vantage points, inside and outside. The covered porch and other porches were favorite spots for conversation or curling up with a good book. The beach area and calm waters were perfect for relaxing and swimmming...the owners provided so many extra toys, kayaks, just EVERYTHING we needed! It was just right for our family of 6 adults and 3 kids under age 5.

The best of family time

This was the most epic of summer trips. This lovely home, not a house a home, gave our family time to connect, unwind and enjoy the wonders of the bay. Even when the weather was not sunny beach weather, we loved the gathering spaces to play games and enjoy family time. Our hosts were lovely and when we met a neighbor and her lovely dogs they were just as lovely. Just heaven

The perfect calm

Beautiful location with every amenity possible provided. The host was quick to answer questions and make suggestions for fun and dining out. I appreciated the quietness of the area without the need or desire to go anywhere except maybe for ice cream. I highly recommend this property especially for families wanting to relax and spend time together. I don’t want to go home….

Another beautiful week at Bayview

This was our second time vacationing at Bayview. We had another amazing experience with breathtaking views, beautiful weather and tons of family fun. Check in and out is a breeze, and the owners are only a text away. We appreciate the long list of amenities and the extra little things they do to make our stay as close to perfect as possible. We love the beach, boats, hot tub and spacious, well-stocked kitchen. We’re already planning our visit for next summer! Stephanie C.

Fun in the Sun

If you want a relaxing vacation away from the crowd with a private beach to fish, kayak, crab, etc, then this is the place. The house has everything needed to prepare family meals and enjoy time together. The outside has all the necessary items for outdoor fun. Thank you for a wonderful week. Chesapeake Bay Home

Home was in a picturesque setting with views of the bay. Everything was clean and host welcomed us with a bottle of wine. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was spacious with everything you would need for family cooking. Host was very receptive when we had a question. It was quick walk to the private beach. We enjoyed the paddle board and kayak. Water was warm. The hot tub was nice too. The swans on the lake were a big hit with everyone. There were biting flies so bring insect repellent

Can’t wait to come back!

This was our third summer vacationing at Bayview. We are in love with the home and the property grounds. The Reedville community has the quiet relaxation we look forward to. The private beach, kayaks, games and hot tub are all family favorites. We love to hang out on the deck and also take walks through the woods. This home has an amazing kitchen, which we use several times every day. There are so many different seating options throughout the living area. Everyone has space to read, play games, or watch a movie. The homeowner is just a text away and responds in a timely manner to any questions or concerns. We’ll be back next year!

Family trip to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

We had the most wonderful family vacation at this property. We were in awe of this house from the moment we drove up (much bigger and nicer than the pictures capture). It comfortably fit 9 of us. The host allows you to use all of their beach, lake, and fishing gear as well as watercraft which is incredible. They literally have everything. Stewart was easy to communicate with. We had a photographer come to the property to take pictures and are so glad we did because of the picturesque views. The owner made some modifications for our family last minute which we really appreciated. The oven wasn’t working while we were there and they couldn’t get it serviced until after we left but the brought us an air fryer to use and we used the grill. We are seriously considering rebooking for next year! Thank you Stewart for opening your beautiful home to us. Lentz Family

Location + Views

This is an ideal home for a group of couples or family wanting to enjoy some peace and quiet together. Bring lawn games, a soccer ball, picnic blankets, beach toys and enjoy! The stretch of beach (on the river) is so lovely and just about the perfect size for some chairs and beach toys. Walking the sand and you'll find ample sea glass or eagle feathers or other fun things to collect! The property itself is designed for views from all the rooms. Bathrooms were all nicely sized and the decor in each bedroom thoughtful. There is ample room on the lower level for the group to gather on the partially covered deck, the sunroom, kitchen or living room separately or together. The kitchen was outfitted with really anything you'd need! Suggestion to bring as many groceries/wine as you can fit since the Food Lion was a drive away - there is a nice grill and large stove for cooking. For our group, the spiral staircase to the "family/kids" bedroom/play area was a little nerve wracking for us with our toddler. The location of the crib suited the house's design but not our group because of noise floating upstairs. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working during our trip which was a bummer. One bath tub was also out of commission, and given the quieter location of the house, not easy to call a plumber for an immediate fix. TV was a little confusing to figure out, but time outdoors won our time much more. Really a great find!

Great trip

We've been doing family trips in the area for the last 10 years and can't recall a more perfect trip. The kids had a great time playing on the beach and swimming in the water. The views were amazing and the property owner was very available. The main draw was the home itself - the photos don't do it justice, it was really an amazing home with lots of very thoughtful touches. Our week passed by very quickly!

Dream family vacation

The house and property was just amazing. The pictures just don’t do it justice. I immediately booked it for the following year. It was so nice having our own private beach right outside which was great with toddlers in the family. Consider yourself lucky if you get to rent this home!

We give it ten stars!

One of the best vacations EVER! We are in love with this home and property: beautiful landscaping, full of nature, and the bay and lake views are amazing. We enjoyed being steps away from our own private beach. The kayaks, paddle board and rafts were a big hit, and the well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed for preparing family meals. The home is laid out well with wonderful views from every room. We had plenty of space for the ten of us. Stewart was an AMAZING host, and he made communicating with him so easy. He was extremely helpful with tips for restaurants, seafood markets and local history. We were vacationing on one of the hottest weeks this summer. Stewart made sure we were absolutely comfortable, coming to the home in person to help with an air conditioning issue. He and his family are so thoughtful and gracious to open up their gorgeous home. We look forward to coming back AGAIN and AGAIN.

Beautiful Private Property

This is a beautiful home on a beautiful private property. We stayed with 7 people, 4 adults, 2 children, 1 teenager. We loved every moment. The beach was beautiful, the home was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! The owner was kind and responsive. We had a relaxing and enjoyable trip and hope to book again!

Best Kept Secret on the Bay

The stay was phenomenal, and the owner was wonderful to work with. The house and property exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, well stocked, and had anything you may need for your stay. The property was incredible. From hanging out inside the home, to relaxing on the deck and hot tub, from the beach to the lake, there were MANY activities for the whole family (ages ranging from 3-69) to enjoy. We will definitely be back!

Vacation on the Bay

Our family had an enjoyable and memorable vacation in Reedville, VA. The location on the Chesapeake Bay is amazing with its own private beach. The home is beautiful and the accommodations were superb. Many amenities were provided by the owner to enhance our vacation stay.
