A Great "Repeat" Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third time staying at Heavenly View Lodge. During that time is has had two owners, but it has always been managed by Sliding Rock Cabins. Exceptional is the best word to describe HVL and the service provided by Sliding Roc k. The cabin is comfortable, well stocked and site situated to afford a magnificent view. We will rebook.

Amazing Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What an amazing stay.... though way too short. We arrived to the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The drive was great just up a gravel road that really made you feel as if you were away from it all. The owners though of everything and we loved the separation of sleeping areas. Everything was spotless and our dog loved the fenced yard. It was nice to get away from the summer heat at home. We will definitely return to this cabin.

Needed a Break

This cabin was fantastic. The check in process was easy. The location is perfect for solitude yet not to far from everything you need or want to do. We brought our two dogs and the cabin was perfect for them. It has a small fenced in area so they can be outside as much as they like would definitely stay here again

Gorgeous view

The best view off any of the three decks! We enjoyed cooking and just relaxing at the cabin all weekend! A short drive to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We hope to come back again!

Fantastic views!

We would have liked a dining table outside, and more comfortable (lounging type) outside on the main level, and a puzzle table (we ended up using the ping pong table, not ideal). However, kitchen well stocked, grill was great, views fantastic. Sometimes neighbors (cabin rentals) were a bit too loud and annoying, so retreated inside. Close proximity to many trails, waterfalls, and small towns. The fenced in yard was great for our pups, just pretty steep for our older dog, but a great amenity. Plenty of wildlife to see, even a black bear! Road up to the cabin was pretty bumpy and some areas pretty steep. Need AWD/4WD, or very experience FWD driver. We don't mind the bumpy roads, but others might.

Really nice and the views are just stellar

Its not every day that when you are looking to rent a cabin that the actual pictures show the ACTUAL views you get, but Heavenly View Lodge and the way it was depicted was 100% perfect. Super clean and the management company really thought though ALL the things one would need to make your stay truly complete...I have never seen such attention to detail for coffee (for example) in any cabin stay I have stayed in. They have everything. And yes, the road to the cabin is gravel and we had a 4x4, but I also followed mid-sized cars to and from the cabin and they did not have any issues...it is all fairly level and smooth (just with some small ruts at the beginning of the road). Highly recommended.

The cabin was fantastic, well-appointed, clean, and had amazing views! The dog yard is a little tough for our older dogs to access from the main floor but we were able to access it from the lower floor so it wasn't an issue at all. Looking forward to our next stay with Sliding Rock Cabins!

First, the cabin is well-managed and the staff easy to communicate with. It is always clean and stocked with the items one would expect. The cabin itself is very comfortable, and it possesses one of the best views in the area. The covered porch is the crowning touch for us and our dogs. Life doesn't get any better than sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the mountain sunrise.

We thoroughly enjoyed the view from Wild Cat Watch. We were very comfortable in the cabin and it had everthing we needed. The road up is definitely steep, but we were told about that ahead of time and had no problems. We're looking forward to another visit to WCW.

Unfortunately, when you reserve via Sliding Rock Cabins, the address/location isn't identified, so we had no way of knowing how remote this cabin is. It's very far from both Ellijay and Blue Ridge -- both about 25 - 30 mins away, and 2 1/2 miles up steep muddy roads.

Reviewer Comments: Having used Sliding Rock Cabins as the go-to company for cabin rentals for a number of years, we have stayed in several of their managed units over the years. All have been good. Wildcat Watch is clearly the best of best. Well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and with a magnificent view. Cabin access is easy. The dogs had direct access to the fenced yard. Being near the road's end, it was quiet and situated on a lot that maximized privacy. All considered, that is why we feel Wildcat Watch to be one of the best in the area.

Quiet Breathtakingly Beautiful Views with a way to Inspire

Amazing and awe-inspiring views morning, noon and night. A way to reconnect to nature and life. The drive up to the cabin was twisty and steep, so be ready and prepared. Other than that the roads are great for walking. The cabin has multiple sleep options and the dogs loved the fenced in yard and gated decks for lounging. Kitchen is great for cooking family meals. Once you arrive you never have to leave as the cabin provides everything you could need from relaxing and entertainment to spending quality wine with family and friends.

Stunning Mountain Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you book this cabin, you really need a 4WD or AWD car/SUV. It's 3 miles up a gravel, rutted road, and steep road. But well worth the trip up for the stunning views. BTW, do your food shopping first before making the trek up! This cabin was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable. Hot tub and ping pong table got lots of use. We took day trips to hike in places like Amicalola Falls, Fort Mountain State Park, Blue Ridge, & Helen GA. My only recommendation would be to update the porch chairs and definitely fix up that firepit area. If you want peace and quiet in a comfortable cabin, this is the spot!
